Blogs are saying we use it as distraction to move for alvarez instead
I don't think Alvarez is realistic either. I believe he is focused on joining Barcelona versus any other club and Barca will get him, it is only a matter of time.

New rule for Goalkeepers
I know they want to curb time wasting, but this particular one is going to be challenging. It will be left to the discretion of the referee for the most part.

I mean how do we interpret what is serious and what is not, especially, if there is no blood, contact and the incident results in a substitution. It would be interesting to see how this is implemented.

I like this one but e go affect us because if we are being honest, we were culprits in delayed starts, especially, after going up and late in games we were leading. It will be an adjustment for sure. Hopefully, they are practicing quicker releases of the ball and build up from the back otherwise, we fit suffer if opponents decide to form a press. We saw teams utilize that approach.

Yeah, the application of the new rule will be highly subjective and may not favour a team depending on what a ref thinks about the overall attitude of the team.

For example, if we are protecting a slim lead and our players have been trying to patronize the ref towards last 10 minutes of the game, the ref may just decide to overlook a serious injury that does not appear to be serious in his eyes. He may just think it is part of time wasting to run down the clock.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out in real time.

I want to believe our players will adapt. I have seen them adapt over the past few years....Few years ago we were very weak in aerial balls and now almost everyone fears us when the ball is in the air in the opponent's box.

By now they should be practicing quicker release of the ball and we should work on our counter attacks more. With Gyokeres having gained confidence towards the end of last season and we having speedsters on the wing, playing quick release of the ball shouldn't be an issue for us.

All these laws are created because of us na
They will soon invent law on number of players to attack corner to give keepers freedom

All these rules usually involves poor implementation and controversy.

Knowing how football matches can be chaotic, it might even be a subject of diverse interpretation in any one incident.

I mean we have Rice but I get what u mean.

Odegaard has everything to be that set piece/ dead ball specialist, especially the ones from close range but for some reason he hasn't. Eze is another one with the potential but hasn't done it.

Gyokeres is a player I have said from last season needs this preseason and I am glad he is with the squad. He is going to enter the season in a better shape and grasp of Arteta's tactics/ expectations. I am confident he will do better, he is mentally tough as we saw last season.

I am just sad that Eze isn't participating in the preseason. He is the one that I said needed this preseason the MOST in comparison to others. He joined us after the season started last year and it was evident as he struggled to adapt. His conditioning was poor, so was his grasp of the tactics and chemistry of his team mates. He is such a special player and has the ability to transform our attack but him and Arteta needed this preseason together but they are not getting that.

Let me say deadball specialist i feel more rules will come out because of us

The rule is not the issue, consistency and discretion are the major issue.
I remember when they made the rule about players playing the ball after referee blow the whistle. We got punished for it (Rice and Trossard) . I don't think that rule is effective anymore.

Arteta, Jover and the boys should be prepared. I need 30 set piece goals this season. Make their mind dey
