You lost me on groundnuts and melon? Melon is rich in protein too? How come is heard more about the oil, how is not so ideal to be consumed often? Also groundnut I am wondering if there’s a specific type or it still included fried ones? Boiled ones Cc: Qwikkie please explain more I usually do chicken, eggs, catfish ,ice fish, fio-fio, okpa, vegetables and sometimes rice as my weekly consumption but I do alternate them with different kinds of fruits |

emkz:When you party has institutionalized poverty and makes the attempt to move over 87 million Nigerians into extreme poverty, do you not expect them to eat their gadgets? Or you probably expect people become cannibals? How would a person who’s not able to afford garri to fill his stomach, think about getting eggs or living a healthy life style. Or have you forgotten so soon that you have wiped off any imagination of the word lifestyle, not to talk of healthy lifestyle in the lives of the citizens of this country? One keeps wondering why you APC supporters keep trivializing such matters, knowing that you were and remain the first to scream hunger. |

epainos:The ban problem isn't about beans itself (still goated food) but the amount of chemical preservatives Nigerian farmers use, which significantly exceed safe limits. And this isn't anything new, there was a news about someone who wanted to import coke (Coca-Cola) from Nigeria (probably because it's slightly cheaper) but was rejected at the border due to it being "unsafe", same coke we drink everyday. Our food inspection control is quite bad no doubt but on the flip (bright) side, our body has developed resistance to somethings, so we'll be okay eating those beans, probably. |

Qwikkie:Many thanks for sharing this timely advice in this harsh Tinubu times of hyperinflation. Eggs and chicken parts may not be so cheap o. Moreover, the price of beans will soon go through the roof as many people get empowered to fry akara by sinator Remi Tinubu because her husband is clueless about creating jobs promised.

InifinteXR:It doesn't developed any resistance. We are aging fast and dying slowly. This is the sickest generation of Nigerians, And it is getting worse. Keep deceiving yourself, while young people are slumping every now and then, and most never get to know why, as they are hurriedly buried without autopsy. |

CyracksMrBlogger:Well, garden eggs too do contain protein. A 100-gram serving of raw garden eggs has about 1 to 2.2 grams of protein. A served 600 gram has about 6 to 12 grams of protein whereas a chicken egg contains 6 grams. I am not been silly for getting some clarification from the OP |
