Kobojunkie:
1. The problem with religion is that it robs individuals of the ability to critically reason things outside of the dogma that they have been fed. Have you ever asked yourself any of the following
⚉ What does the Constitution of the ancient nation of israel, in fact, say about the fulfilling of the contained commandments and statutes?
⚉ What does it, in fact, mean when someone claims he/she fulfills the Law or its requirements thereof?

Jesus Christ of Israel was an Israelite and much the same as every Israelite before him; he was required by YHWH of Israel to fulfill the Law of Moses-- live as an obedient subject of the nation of Israel(Judah in his case) in the land of Canaan to the letter. He was required under the Law to live as a subject and obey every commandment and statute. He did just that and also stated that he did that. 🥱🥱

2. He never showed the opposite as you claim. If you investigated the Constitution of Israel, you would have come to see the reason behind why Jesus Christ of Israel chose to do what He did. He upheld the Law by stating that since the act of stoning a person to death was meant as a step in
The Law required that the one who is himself without sin, who needs purging in that situation, an eyewitness to the sin, be the first to cast the stone to kill the evildoer among them. 🥱

The mob that Jesus Christ of Israel addressed was chasing the woman alone(the Law required that both the man and woman caught in the act were to be put to death), implying the mob already sinned by refusing to go after the man as well, assuming they(some within the mob) witnessed the adulterous act. Ignoring what the Law said was sin.🥱
...
What Jesus Christ of Israel said was not that the mob couldn't cast the first stone, but rather that the one among them who was without sin should cast the first stone to condemn the woman(alone) to death. What the mob decided afterwards was not Jesus Christ of Israel but a result of self-correction on the part of the mob. 🥱🥱

Again, religion is a form of serious blindness to the facts and details of what is in fact stated and before one's very own eyes. Right there in the Books, Jesus Christ of Israel confirmed that God's Laws are Everlasting, same as He is, and that nothing of it can be abolished. Yet religion blindly assumes that somehow Jesus Christ of Israel magically abolished a Law that predates his presence on earth and that he lived under. If that is not some level of mindfuckery... I don't know what else would qualify. 🥱
Interesting perspective on the Adultery angle. I appreciate your time for the elaborate view.
You have a point.
But:

1)however, we can't actually prove they weren't witnesses amongst the mob either just as we can't prove there were witnesses. I don't think Jesus asked them for witnesses.

2)The woman didn't deny it both when with the mob and Jesus , she was only begging to to be spared which showed culpability. aspect of being "careful' as the law says to get to the truth has been established.

3) We don't know what happened to the man. based on our own life experiences, it's possible he ran in a different direction and escaped or was caught and stonned by a different set of mob.

From the laws you quoted:
->wink The law didn't say the witnesses have to be SINLESS for them to throw the first stone. They just need to be 2+ witnesses to the crime/act; that's all. Being sinless wasn't a requirement of a witness, is it?

->Hence, Jesus appealed more to their moral conscience not the literal interpretation of the law. That's where the subtle difference comes in..
He ended by telling her to go and sin no more..
Fully aware she was culpable just like the mob was aware.
Why?
Cuz I believe drawing all men to Gods ways is God's primary reason for the laws in the first place.
Using force, fear, threats and death was the go-to method then for the laws.

But Jesus came to use love, compassion and Mercy on the same laws without breaking it's essence through wisdom.

By opposite I mean he went beyond literal and fixated interpretations by the Jewish leaders (Pharasees,Saducees) and I gave examples.
Not generalizing my statement. They were in context.

And if I give all my belongings to feed others, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I do not benefit at all. 1Corinthans 13:3

Old Testament-Death
(Jewish religion).

New Testament-Spiritual Judgement(Christianity)-Clearly written.

World Wide, there's by far less death associated with the Jewish-death implementation on adherants. That's the most practical check of religious tolerance.

And yes, just as the person you quoted replied you, it was more tied as a constitution(Mosaic Law) of Isreal than exclusively as religion.
Treated as a treasonable offence.

Even Jewish israel nowadways aren't hardline fixated on that. They still tolerate Muslims and mosques in their country as there's now separation of state from Religion.

And it is never Christianity (Christ law) which came later through Jesus and relies on Spiritual judgement as your
search highlighted not physical killings.

That law doesn't go beyond Israel so it's given for the twelve tribes only and they were never asked to take it to any other land until the Christ will come to break it down for them and teach them the PRINCIPLES behind those LAWS! Deuteronomy 18:18-19

The law says another prophet will be sent to the Israelites {Deuteronomy 18:18-19} through whom God will establish another covenant with them. Jeremiah 31:31-33

So when Jesus said he has not come to abolish those laws he's warning his listeners not to think he has come to change God's laws but to fulfill which is break it down to PRINCIPLES instead of fast rules that they can't relate anywhere else. And that is why he told them to take the new covenant to other nations {Matthew 28:19-20} they can't go to another country and start forcing their country's laws on people but with the new covenant which comes with PRINCIPLES no normal human will say it's not applicable to him or her!😟

He WON a debate but LOSE his life.

So what is the lesson learned?🥱

Matthew 16:25 >> he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it.

My dear brother Bernard Muyongo has gained eternal life for not being ashamed of preaching Christ. He literally lost his life for Christ but see, he GAINED & WON entrance to Heaven immediately, according to Matthew 16:25.

Please give your own life to King of kings Jesus Christ too, before you fly down a height greater than mount Everest, without a parachute of safety.

Jesus loves you, and there's nothing a true Christian can do for Him on this Earth that CAN be too much, however He is not necessarily asking us to die for Him.....but if it comes in the great service for Him, we must gladly serve him so.

And that said, the unprovoked killers must be apprehended.

I get you. I would definitely think as you are if I were in your shoes.

Ideally, I think Christianity shouldn't entirely have existed if Jesus mission and
right interpretation
+ enhancement of the Old Testament requirement was unanimously accepted by the Jews.

Matthew 23:23
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former"

The weightier and Spirit of every law of the Old Testament(OT) was justice mercy and faithfulness..

The jews leadership by the Scribes and Pharisees failed to apply the spirit part of this law where applicable(justice, Mercy and Faithfullness). Those are the nuances and context of the Old-Law Jesus came to fulfil. But the jews rejected it.

Its the reason why we kinda separated. Those with Jesus model of interpretation call ourselves Christians and Not Jews. Yet same letter of the law.

So you have a point on quoting the verse as a basis for death penalty for Jews and supposedly Christians. Jesus never condemned the law either. But the interpretation is different and context based per case. Applying justice, mercy(compassion) and faithfullness where necessary.

In old testament, those punished are those who turn away from God, not those who turn away from a religion. God didn't form any religion and won't punish people for leaving a religion, but he will punish people for disobeying him.

Spiritual judgement in new testament means God himself will judge the person, which is the right thing . In Islam, it is Muslims that kiiill people for apostasy, not your alllla. It must be because your allllla is too wieak to defend his religion.

and if I do, i will definitely request or expect a better interpretation.

The Cruz of the matter here is why it seems we Christians tend to switch verses between OT and NT whenever it suits..

Back then Christians won't argue with Judaists because they are ready to kill them at sight on the spot unless Roman soldiers are around to protect the believer.
So stop deceiving yourself the act of arguing publicly with radical Muslims is UNSCRIPTURAL!

You probably didn't read this
Acts 6:9:
"Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen."

Stephen won the Debate outstandingly that the Jews were moved to violence

Acts 6:10:
"And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke."

And just like your kinsmen, they incited violence against Stephen

Acts 6:12:
"And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came on him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,"

The same crime you accused this young preacher of doing. Read your bible and let the fruit of Christ manifest in you.
