Better turn back and possibly keep a distance,we usedencounter this quite often on the sagamu ijebu ode axis all you need do is reverse immediately and it you cant make a quick u turn then wait for the trucks to lead the way.......if it were a truck proceed with immediate alacrity. |

| Re: As A Driver What Would You Do In This Situation? by Tosin17(m): 3:19pm On Jul 29 |
if it is a lonely road, remove your leg from the accelerator and allow the vehicle move slower. you have to move over the nails with one line of the tyres and the other line on that middle where there are no nails. Do not wait, keep driving until you get to a safe place like police checkpoint or populated area to check your tyres. Ire o |

Marvieduke:It is too close to attempt to turn back. Just get out of the car and fire off a few rounds on your AK47 as you pack the nail spike pieces of wood into your car and zoom off. |

Respect your old age and turn back. If you attempt to go down from your car to remove those things, two things are involved 1. Na police put am there to stop vehicles and collect "offering" 2. Na armed robbers put am to slow unsuspected drivers and rob them and their passengers |

Lithiumite:Everything you narrated here, is almost impossible at this juncture. Not even when you are driving at night. How did you want to make a quick turn without you being caught? if the people who put obstruction still much around? Is it logical to wait for truck at dead of night and in the bush? When you don't know the exact time the next truck would pass. |

I have seen and read this particular article somewhere in nairaland. One guy mentioned to blast and accelerate over it because if you stop or slow down or do U-turn then the assailants will have a chance for you. Speed to a more noisy or a place with human presence or police checkpoint. |

Na to match am go like that, you don’t expect me to come down to remove the spikes that late in the night. Besides, a moving car is still a dangerous car whether tire tight or not. If you doubt me just enter front of moving car with flat tire and see if you won’t have a date with your ancestors. |

| Re: As A Driver What Would You Do In This Situation? by stevenosa(m): 4:42pm On Aug 03 |
Revise about 30 metres backward and accelerate at high speed for about 25 metres, pull my hand break while turning my steering wheel to the right and I am 100% sure my car will face the direction I was coming from. That saves the situation. Lithiumite: |

Fiscus105:I said take a reverse immediately, not many drivers are good at reversing at high speeds as for the pic you sent, the road is wide enough a quick u turn except its a truck or a big van, which truck can drive through effortlessly.. |

| Re: As A Driver What Would You Do In This Situation? by Kalulu44: 4:50pm On Aug 03 |
First of if you're coming with speed, there's no need trying to apply brakes. Just try as much as possible to navigate thru those little gaps, if any of your tire gets punctured in the process no problem, just continue with your speed till you get to a safer place. . Infact there's no 2nd or 3rd option. Trying to slow down and revise, you will be quickly attack. Trying to make a u-turn is even worse. I think the first option is only the option for me. I have once as an Uber driver escaped lastma guys that puts that their yeye plank containing nails at Ozumba Mbadiwe road going towards Lekki. I pushed the ones in front of me with my car, climb the godamn thing and drove till Lekki phase 1. Got down and check my tyres, nothing happened to any of them. |
