Have you noticed that when you buy a brand new Samsung phone nowadays, you only get the phone and a type-c cable inside the box? No charger head, no earphones!

Why are they doing this?
Samsung says it is to protect the environment and reduce electronic waste. Most people already have working chargers at home, so reducing extra accessories helps cut down on carbon footprint. Another reason is to make the phone boxes smaller and lighter, which saves shipping costs.

What can you do about it?
1. Use your old charger: If you have a good quality charger head from your previous phone, you can use it. Just make sure it supports fast charging if your new Samsung supports it.
2. Buy a certified charger: If you need a new one, buy an original or good quality certified PD (Power Delivery) charger to keep your battery healthy.
3. Go wireless or use adapters: For earphones, you can switch to Bluetooth wireless earbuds or get a Type-C to 3.5mm audio jack adapter if you prefer wired earphones.

Getting rid of headphones is genius as said as it reduces the size of the peoduct enabling more phones to be stacked.

This would truly save cost in shipping and transport.

Imagine having chinko phone with 1.1A charger and person gift you Samsung phone, that require 2.1A charger...

Let me know if you will wish Samsung had send charger head top.

An expensive Samsung phone won't come with a charger head and I've also wandered why. The last Samsung phone i bought with a charger head was SM S17, 9yrs ago. I'm still using the charger head as I speak, with my SMS 25 Plus, but with a type C to USB adapter cos the cord it came with is a type C mouth on both sides. Their charger na use trowey. It's made to last. Even the so-called SM charger head with the SM name on it sold online and in stores isn't original from SM

Na Africans go suffer for this because we no dey produce anything quality phone accessories

Samsung laughed at iPhone when iPhone 11 debuted without charger. In their next flagship they did exactly the same and deleted their post mocking iPhone.

They followed the genius marketing opportunity set by Apple. The company made fun of Apple for “innovating” new means to fleece customers. Once they realized the ideas worked, they jumped on the wagon. I don’t understand why low end Chinese phone manufacturers aren’t doing the same.

Imagine buying phone 300k and still buy charger 15k.

Rather buy a Redmi phone of same price range with better specs

Makes sense. As a long time Samsung devotee, I have many original charger heads.
