Even since I started job I never put my primary school for my application and since it's only my school cert and my degree I put . Na only the two cert they will ask me to provide while the primary is out of the prerequisite

The rationale is a paper trail .... to avoid this very situation. ... as in some tout dropping out of kindergarten.... buying a university degree and running for President. With the Primary and Secondary school certificates they can trace his educational back ground ... that he went to school regularly .. check the history of his grades ... find out about his character from who were supposed to be his classmates.... etc. Tinubu has none of that ... he just appeared out if thin air .. they allowed him to enter the race ... he became President ... and now we're finding out the hard way that he is a "low life".... anything for the bag.

What is needed in some instance, is meeting a requirement. Before Nigerians started getting used to formal primary and secondary education, many of our elders did not attend primary or secondary school; rather, they enroll for correspondence exams. They use such results for university admission. An example is Chief Afe Babalola, one of the foremost lawyers in Nigeria and founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti. He never had formal primary or secondary education, yet he studied Law in the UK. When you go to the US and some other western countries, some of these things are not seen as out of the ordinary. Also, check Atiku Abubakar's educational submissions to INEC. He got a Masters from the UK without a First Degree. This is because he met some requirements set by the university. In Obi's case, his degree certificate was signed on a Saturday and his NYSC certificate on May 1st which is a public holiday. Everything should not be about sentiments, it is appalling that Kenneth Okonkwo who calls himself a lawyer does not even understand what the constitution says about this. Even a primary school certificate with ten years of public service and ability to read and write is acceptable according to a section of the constitution he is talking about. School certificate as requirements for a presidential candidate means First School Leaving Certificate (with ten years of public service and ability to read and write) or Senior School Leaving Certificate.
