A yet-to-be-identified young man suspected of theft has stirred reactions on social media after a video surfaced showing him being compelled to dance publicly half naked (dressed only in his underwear) in Anambra State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday at Acha Street, located behind the popular Idemili Market in Iyiowa Odekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area (Greater Onitsha area) of the state.

Although the identity of the suspect could not be immediately ascertained, the incident was captured in a video that has continued to trend on social media.

The footage showed the suspect dancing under the watchful eyes of a local vigilante operative, while residents and passers-by gathered around the scene, cheering, mocking and recording the unusual spectacle with their mobile phones.

We are so wicked and insensitive without any iota of empathy in this country and it's irritatingly annoying.

I'm not in support of stealing but if someone steals pampers, isn't it clear that the adult has been forced to do so for their baby?

What's particularly annoying is that they'll see the politicians who are stealing their unborn generations dry and be hailing them.

What is the difference between what they are doing to this guy and what they did to that Toscana girl. This lady is happy posting this guy's video without his consent. Even if he stole something, he has not been found guilty by the court. That of the Toscana girl who dance to entertain the public was posted and many people especially ladies called for the head of Toscana management for posting her video without her consent. I wonder what consent someone needs to post a video of someone who dances publicly and not privately to entertain people.
