Look at what we celebrating in 2026!

If not poverty, in-exposure and a collapsed educational system that should have have enlightened many, we won’t be here celebrating grinding and sewing machine.
Stop all these rhetoric all just to downplay these laudable efforts by the governor all because of politics.
What project, innovation or experiment have you successfully carried out.

Because I am not a governor and never been in position to manage public funds!

Did he do all from his pocket or with public money?

Sharing grinding and sewing machine in 2026 when the state cannot even boast of pipe borne water, security, competitive public education or state of the art healthcare.

Stop celebrating rubbish in 2026!

This is divide and rule tactics
Wickedfacts:
When Rita Orji of Ajeromi was doing her empowerment in Yoruba land, how many Yorubas were factored in?

Well, people from the South South and Northerners were factored.

Others can go meet who they voted for.

Grinding machine, no be when people see food to eat them go patronize grinding machine shops?

Instead of grinding machine, why not empower them with mechanized farm tools to enable them produce something from nothing, not this grinding machine that will litter every corner of the state and make it more dirtier than it was undecided

Nigeria need massive food production, work on curbing the insecurity chasing farmers away from farms, then encourage youths to massively go into farming and agriculture by providing modern tools and machines that will make farming easier and more productive so more youths can go into mechanized farming to produce more food for Nigeria so food can become cheaper and affordable for Nigerians.

Our leaders lack foresight
mechanized farming ke? Where is the land in lagos to farm? Giving lagos residents a mechanized farming tools is a misplaced priority, they will all dispose them and flood the market.

If Governor would give grinding machine and sewing machine as empowerment, then Nigeria is finished.

We are very ignorant of the jobs of those we "voted" into power.

This is so lame!!!

Why is pepper grinding machine always a tool for empowerment by government?

Nothing like being a sadist, let's speak the truth oga. Our politicians are spending our funds irrationally. What happened to building and maintenance companies then employ them ?? Of what use would these sewing machines add to the economy of Nigeria. Tufiakwa

Your governor needs that advise more. Go and tell Dominic Okafor your representative from Anambra to stop sharing wheelbarrow as empowerment

I hope where you are now, they also empower their youths with such mediocre?

How can Nigeria grow if we continue to clap for failures just because the failure is wearing our tribal uniform?

Make una continue, but it's sad that even after you have fled to a better country where your eyes ought to have opened to know what's good from bad, you are still supporting and clapping for these criminals in power for mocking our youths with all these nonsense things they call empowerment.

As an individual, I have empowered few youths in my hometown with full barbing salon, welding shop with virtually complete tools, carpentry tools and medium sized land tilling machine for farming. These things are very affordable if you import them from China, talk more of importing them in large quantities, these guys don't deserve any commendation for doing all these rubbish, it's not even their personal money to start with. If Nigeria had a credible judiciary, each of those criminals you call Governors ought to spend their remaining years on earth in maximum security prison after their calamitous tenures angry

These conmen you call leaders are shortchanging our youths and you that have escaped to a better country ought to know better and start speaking up instead of clapping for them for stealing our collective wealth and mocking our youths with meager things like this as if the treasury belongs to them and their families
If you can't post the pics of your empowerment in 5 minutes then you are lying, no one is buying your crap

Oga,it shows you’re deft of what moves an economy!
Please tell me one of the basic necessity of life? Clothing is vital ,at a time Nigeria economy was vibrant with the textile industries and the fashion world blossoms.
But our industries were allowed to die due to preference for foreign clothes!
Is that not Mr Peter Obi preaching "from Consumption to Production" . Man must be clothed bro!

We will continue to celebrate good things. And if you're not happy about it,I can't help you.

Sharing grinding machine and sewing machine is far better than sharing indomie and spaghetti. If people are empowered the urge to commit crime will reduce.

You know what I love about your write up? The fact that you compared the rubbish you are celebrating with Indomie and Spaghetti. It already tells ALL one needs to know.

It is easy to condemn, when one doesn't even have anything to offer. In the so called developed countries like America, there are food banks there that gives food to vulnerable people and this is even more than giving food but empowerment.

Anything good no dey sweet una for that part of Nigeria. In fact, I was one of the beneficiaries during one of their empowerment programmes where I was given a hand clipper and I was taught how to perfectly barb others and myself. Today, where I dey, haircut cost $50 and more, but that skill dey save me money every time. Never look down on any genuine opportunity.

Na grinding machine you take empower people?

To those of you cheering the useless gesture of sharing grinding and sewing machines as good works. Fashola and Ambode did far more than what this guy called Sanwo Olu is doing and I don’t think I ever read on the news that they gifted grinding and sewing machines as empowerments. This has always been done by LG and LCDA chairmen in Lagos.

This is terribly low from Sanwo Olu.

Worst governor to ever govern Lagos state. He is dragging worst with Tinubu.
Do your findings to know , how much those using the machines are making daily.
