I've problem with Tinubu, sending attack dogs against Christians, has no respect – Amaechi

The Presidential running mate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday said he has a problem with President Bola Tinubu and his aides in the presidency.

Amaechi disclosed that Tinubu and his aides are sending attack dogs against the Christian faith and Catholic church.

Featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Amaechi insisted that Tinubu has no respect for the Christian faith.

He said: “We are being insulted because we are Christians, I don’t believe in ethnicity. If you come to my house there is a place for Muslims to worship because I have Muslim staff and by the right hand side is a chapel.

“You worship your God and I worship my God but don’t insult my God. There is a saying in my village that carry your God with two hands so that when anybody sees you referencing your God they would join you, but if you are throwing your God up and down, they would do the same.

“My problem is with Tinubu and his aides, he is sending out more attack dogs against the church and he has no respect for the Catholic church and the Christian faith.

“They should leave the Catholic church alone, they should respect God and the Catholic faith, they should stop insulting Christians and the leadership of the Christian faith.”

If the APC strategy is to rile up Christians in order to win the support of Muslims like in 2023, it is dead on arrival because Northern Muslims have moved on from Tinubu’s muslim-muslim ticket and are actively campaigning against it. Following the backlash from the North that greeted claims of having endorsed Tinubu, the Sultan has now issued a disclaimer. Muslim-Muslim ticket will be a net negative for the APC in 2027.

Christian have suffered .

Since the inception of Nigeria, Christians have never been attacked, massacred, ridiculed and humiliated the way Tinubu is doing since he stole power in 2023..

This Islamic led federal government has made it a point of duty to use every available resources to crush Christianity.. Recently Christians have been banned from from spreading the word of God in the bus, yet they left Muslims who block our express roads on Fridays for prayers..

We warned Nigerians, but they didn’t listen..

Rotimi Amaechi, as Rivers governor and DG of Buhari's campaign in 2015, Buhari scored 69,238 votes against Jonathan's 1,487,075 votes. Buhari performed poorly in other southsouth states except Edo. In 2019, Amaechi was minister and DG of Buhari's campaign. Amaechi failed to deliver 25% for Buhari. Every other southsouth state gave Buhari at least 25%. In 2026, Amaechi knows he has no political muscle, reason he is suddenly defending christians. Amaechi, where was your voice when muslims and christians were murdered by terrorists during an administration you served? Wasnt a christian murdered in a train that was under your supervision?

Rotimi Amaechi, the sudden defender of christians, where was your voice when Deborah Yakubu was lynched to death in Sokoto? Your master, Atiku Abubakar, deleted his own condemnation over fear of backlash. Atiku dare not stand with bishops because he knows that would be hypocritical.

It's always overwhelming when you're used to dealing with fake things and suddenly encounter the real thing.

Tinubu's government seems accustomed to engaging with fake bishops, so when they came face-to-face with genuinely ordained bishops, they didn't know how to respond.

Some people seem to think becoming a bishop is easy. In the Catholic Church, becoming a priest alone requires years of rigorous academic, spiritual, and pastoral formation, often including at least two academic degrees. By the time many priests are appointed monsignor, they may already hold advanced qualifications, including doctorates. Becoming a bishop and eventually a cardinal, comes only after decades of service and dedication.

Cardinals are among the most senior clergy in the Catholic Church, and they are the ones eligible to participate in the election of a pope. It is disappointing to see people speak disrespectfully about individuals who have devoted their lives to such service.

Tinubu's attack dogs should know where to draw the line.

Let's put politics aside. Does Catholicism represent the Christians in Nigeria? Catholic is a body of its own and they should stop wiping sentiments, when Adeboye was insulted why didn't they say Christians were been abused? I'm a redeemer and Catholics don't speak for me.
