This matter would have been long gone and forgotten if President Tinubu and everyone around him had simply accepted the admonishment of Cardinal John Onaiyekan and the Bishops that visited him.

But the truth hurt so many people that, instead of letting the matter rest, some unscrupulous elements still went as far as forging the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) letterhead, just to prove that the Cardinal was wrong.

The funny part is that, after going through all that trouble to forge the letter, they still could not pay attention to the basic details.
