I got this new nexus freezer Nx160hce on about 4 days ago , and I noticed that the freezer freezes at the top to the middle part while the lower part is cold but not freeze yet , although it haven’t run for over 6 hours straight due to the power supply . It is still going to freeze to the lower part as time past or I should return it

It's the design. It is to avoid you having to scrape ice from the bottom that will ruin the foil. Same as mine. Same model.

It's a factory defect. Theres a leak internally. He should return it immediately if since its still under warranty. Such products defrost faster that anything

To be sure you got a good product, you need at least 12hours uninterrupted power to observed its maximum freezing and subsequent rate of defrosting. Get gen to supplement your nepa supply at least for first day after any freezer purchase.

Wadala tie wrapper mine is Skyrun on Band E with very low voltage like that of a candle light it freezes in minutes with a small sterbilizer. But on band A with a very stable voltage of around 190 - 210 it barely freezes even after 10 hours with or without a sterbilizer.

Hello , I think there’s improvement today, this it how it looks like , although it’s yet to freeze round the interior but few of the sachet water I put inside is blocked already , thanks .I’ll keep y’all posted

Hi Tomiwa , what’s the update on your nexus because it’s the same with mine . Did you later return it ? Or it’s working perfectly now ?

I just got mine 3 days ago and I’m seriously facing the same thing . I’m worried sick about my drinks . Because they are not frozen when kept at the buttom of the freezer it only gets cold .
Even a sachet of pure water doesn’t freeze when kept down . Unless those untop . It only keeps things hard frozen from the top to half the freezer . It’s really worrisome .

Do not attempt to dismantle or tamper with the unit, as this can void your warranty coverage.

Return it asap

whether it is the design or not the fridge will defrost faster after power is cut.
Now that you are still within refund period, you need to make up your mind if you want to keep it or not.

Return the damn freezer.

You need steady and stable power for it to freeze properly. I use Nexus, it’s always frozen, keeps my meals fresh. I once turn it off and it didn’t defrost in 4 days.
When using a freezer for first time, don’t put anything in it, first let it work and freeze before putting in your stuffs.

A brand new fridge or freezer from the manufacturing factory needs at least 12-16 hrs of uninterrupted power supply for you to determine it's efficiency.
Be patient

Mine is hisense, got it like 4years ago, still very active freezes from down upward. 8 to 10hrs uninterrupted power freezes anything you put inside. But 2 hrs light I bet you, you can't dare to drink the water inside. It would be too chill for your mouth. I love hisense products a lot.

This is an abberation. You take food from up down, so the food below should be the coldest, not the other way around. If you use this for poultry business, you are in trouble.

You dont have stable electricity, that's why.

Are you using stabiliser on it?

There is nothing wrong with it. Freezer are built to freeze from the top. It takes roughly 10 to 12 hours to have the whole unit to frozen. Your freezer is working perfectly

I also bought brand new Scanfrost Freezer last month and noticed same. when they were testing it at the showroom, I noticed the up became cold iness than 5 Minutes but down wasn't.
I called their attention and was told that's how it's built...
They said some cold from down while some from up that it's luck!

chairman goan fix ur freezer and stop misleading the crowd.

I had same issue with mine last year
I chatted them on Twitter, they sent their own technician, he added fan close to the compressor and everything started working well
For one year now no issue
