UrVillageChief:This is appalling How come you guys only have problems with Pastors. So many Islamic clerics in the north openly endorsed Tinubu and some Atiku in the last election yet I didn't hear any of you cry on their heads and asked for their turbans to be removed. So many Islamic clerics preached and railed against Jonathan and you even clapped for them It is only Christians una John Thomas dey rise Hypocrites everywhere!! |

Lithiumite:So why were APClowns crying when Obidients were dragging Soyinka who isn't even a cleric? I thought you guys were preaching respect for the opinions of others which you cried that Obidients don't do. How come suddenly it's OK to drag a cleric for having an opinion on the states of the nation now? Una hypocrisy long |

KillahPriest:My only happiness in all these is that Bishop Onaiyekan is a Catholic like Obi. He never recognized Tinubu as president in 2023 and that's why he's the only one that granted Arise TV interview, among all the bishops that visited Tinubu. |

PJ123: While discussing reactions to the 2023 presidential election, Adegbite recalled that "In 2023, when BAT was declared the winner, Onaiyekan said, 'He will not recognize the president.'" He argued that although individuals are entitled to their political preferences, the outcome declared by the electoral process should be respected unless overturned by the courts.Guy go and read your link again. According to adegbite,he claimed onaiyekan refused to accept Tinubu as president after the elections. The link stated clearly that onaiyekan only rejected a Muslim Muslim ticket as his reason for not voting Tinubu. Make una dey read una link before sending as proof. This is your link below.👇👇

wellmax:You mean Osinbajo was VP as a lawyer not as a Christian leader? How old were you in 2015?? What about Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom? Father Alia of Benue nko? We had Revd Nyame in Taraba as well. Ibrahim Shekarau was governor of Kano. You're surely out of your depth in this discourse. Forgive me. I didn't know the debate on TVC was rice and beans styled debate. So you mean TVC was just putting up the debate to chew corn not that they are interested in contributing meaningfully to public affairs and nation building. TVC is just a secondary school debate stage? Fair logic then! |

Mccullum:What's the difference between the two? I never knew clerics are grouped according to if they are in public office or not. What other classification do you have for clerics. I'll like to be enlightened |

SmartyPants:3 people liked this comment!! 3 people who should be banned from thinking as they are dangerous to human advancement!! Just look at the rubbish he wrote claiming to be smart in his pants. So having an opinion about the state of the nation and expressing it openly is not a civil right?!! How did citizens of north Korea and Iran get access to a Nigerian forum?!! |

Tareq1105:Reduce your lies He said he wouldn't recognise Tinubu as president until the courts say so. He was referring to the situation of a president being sworn in while his election was still being litigated by the courts Stop regurgitating trash from APClowns WhatsApp group |

Kukutente23:The only difference between you and those Islamic extremists killing people up north is that you don’t have access to guns. So in your small mind, I’m a Muslim for speaking against an erring Christian priest?🤣 No bro, I’m no hypocrite. Like I said earlier, nobody is stopping anyone from endorsing anybody they like but just know that your opinions cease to be seen as being neutral the moment you start openly endorsing one candidate against the other Trust me, nobody would have taken this to be anything if those statements were issued by neutral people like PA Kumuyi, the Oni of Ife, Oba of Benin or Pa Oyedepo. Onaiyekan traded off his respect the very day he started making it crystal obvious he had a preferred candidate. C’mon bro, this man is not even hiding his disdain for the President. Why can’t he emulate the other priests like Bishop Oyedepo? We all know Oyedepo doesn’t really like Tinubu but he’s definitely not rubbishing himself by not going fully partisan. He always makes it clear that he’s against bad leadership instead of claiming to have a preferred candidate, that’s exactly how sensible Royal fathers and religious leaders are expected to carry themselves. You don’t put your hands in partisan politics and still expect to be respected. |

Sheuns:Did you listen to Adegbite? He did not criticise Onayeikan for his political choice intact he encouraged it he only said Religious leaders should be cautious with their choice of words, and be aware of the dangers of social media. Onayeikan had been careless leading up to and just after the 2023 elections, is actions giving an interview within 4hrs of meeting with the president shows he didn't act in good faith. Remember that interview was not impromptu it was preplanned before the presidential meeting itself which is a betrayal of principle in essence |

Lithiumite:It's no longer an opinion, we've seen an ordained pastor rose to the level of VP, many governors today are deacons or even pastor, or priest Many political appointees too, so it's just hypocritical asking such question, cos the answer is already in our faces |
| Re: Onaiyekan Didn't Recognise Tinubu As President In 23:bishop Adegbite by Mobisson: 2:19pm On Aug 07 |
So what happened if he is obedient, can religious leaders no longer speak the facts no matter their affiliation? So he should not speak when the country burning because he is obedient? Look for better things to do if you don't know what to say. nothingspoil70: |

Kukutente23:Kuku my good lad, you are just entertaining yourself with all these ramblings. Do you think you are impressing anyone? Ehn?? As I told one of your colleagues, you have to engage intelligently if you wish to communicate. Is there any place where I've said anyone should not have an opinion? Do you know the distinction between expressing an official position as an official who led an official visit to the president as the leader (or a recognized leader) of an organization, and a single individual expressing his opinion on his own behalf, even from the pulpit as many others have done? Has anyone of the many preachers who expresses their opinion from the pulpit ever been question over their involvement in state matters? You still can't see the distinction ehn? Lol. Good of you. Oya shake ya nyash some more. |

bentenny:You missed the point - he didn't support Tinubu in 2023 on religious ground which he had right to. But mind you, he's a supposed priest. There's a problem of double character. He is supposed priest and opponent. His position was at best opinions of the opponents. While the Bishop Adegbite didn't hide his position as a supporter of Tinubu. Tinubu made a mistake of granting him audience. He mistook him as a priest when he indeed is an opponent. It's a free world everyone has the right to support whoever he wishes but must be bold enough enough to tell us your own candidate not hiding as speaking as priest. He's not a priest. No descent priest would do what he did, the president of your country respected your office as a priest granted you audience. You were supposed to give him your advice and leave. You then went to public to release the details of your discussion with the president and start speaking against the president. Tinubu messed up by granting him audience |

Kukutente23:And we know Who you support ' Yes Daddy 2023 and till now ,you are still not true to yourself. Your hate as Obedient Sold you out - for up till now your Boss ha abandoned the Voyage but some of you are confused, just because of hates and bigotry and Falsehoods on Tinubu,as if without him you can ot live your life! 1.Must Onaeyekan be Partician - as a Priest ? 2. Can he just be honest and Truthful to self- by pointing out the areas Tinubu govt did well and tell us by suggesting how the Govt-Can be Improved Upon? 3 .Is Catholic Bishops - only to Condemn, Castigates and Without Offering Solutions? 4.Is Catholic an Opposition Party and can they Tell NIGERIANS - Who they want to Rule us- instead of being, bending? Why Can't they be Straight - in their Analysis 😁? |

PJ123:Guy look at the title of the thread and look at my response. I said does adegbite have proof that onaiyekan rejected the presidency of Tinubu? You came forward with a link as proof. You proof had nothing to do with what I said. If you are saying a totally different thing, then that's beyond this conversation. |

Kukutente23:TVC is the dumbest TV station in the whole universe Everything there is choreographed towards Tinubu's inordinate ambitions. I avoid them like a plague and haven't watched the useless TV for over 4 years. It's a pity in the 21st century such charlatans still parade themselves as a TV station |
