We have many people in Nigeria, with no real trail, to their source of wealth.......

Adenuga, emoney, Atiku, Dino, Tinubu, Obi, Allen onyema, Dangote, Otedola, Obi etc etc etc

All their money, got a twist of corruption, powder money, attached to it, not forgetting government money (meant for the masses).......

Your statement is funny… Do you think becoming a billionaire in dollars is simply about owning an oil company or running a big transport business like Young Shall Grow? The Igbo men you mentioned are they anywhere near Michael Jordan’s level of wealth? I agree the East has extremely wealthy men, especially Arthur, But if he were truly a billionaire by Forbes’ standards, he would definitely be recognized. By the way, do you know how many people in Nigeria actually own an oil well?
Hey young man, this is not about tribe or your usual Igbo man this and that, I never talked about tribe here before your wicked hearts start pounding. I mentioned people I know and have heard them speak about their worth by themselves. The other day that white guy that go around the world interviewing dollar billionaires stumbled upon Tony Elumelu and interviewed him and Elumelu used his mouth to say he is worth around $3 to $4billion and you are here blabbing your usual tribal mocking talks of Igbo men this and that. I have also watched Coscharis who is a highly reserved born again Christian say he is worth around $4billion and have listened to Young shall grow talk about his too, so why must Forbes be the one to tell them what they are worth when Forbes usually rely on publicly listed shares most of the times in their rich list compilation?

I know my net worth for instance and I dont need Forbes to tell me how much I am worth cos they might never know some of my hidden wealth and investments I used my wife or kids or relatives or close friends to invest. Some of these men you are classifying as your Igbo men this and that own conglomerates of businesses in many African countries, Asian and South America countries that you and your Forbes are not aware of and they dont even want you to know about them, so when they say they are dollar billionaires, believe them or you can choose not to believe them, its your choice it won't reduce or add to their net worth okay?

It's funny how you think such caliber of men aren't dollar billionaires.

When I was still young and struggling to make 1million naira, I used to imagine how people made 1 million, and I used to imagine how people managed to buy houses and lands in several places and also owned more than 2 cars cos it was like magic and a difficult task to me back then but as I grew older and ventured into business, I began to realize that it's not as difficult as I used to think it was and in fact I looked back and realized that without my realization, I have acquired some of those things I felt were impossible.

I have lots of friends that are currently Naira billionaires today which may seem like impossibility to you but do you know that anybody that own 5 upstairs in 5 megacities in Nigeria today is a naira billionaire if you check how much an upstairs with 4 to 6 flats is worth in Nigeria today but when you start counting it based on your life situation and experience it will seem like its impossible.

So dont come mentioning me again cos I know Forbes is not 70% accurate with their rich list, they might even be below 60% accurate in some countries where data is an issue like in Nigeria, etc

You’ve spoken the hard truth, and honestly, your point reflects a deeper sickness in our society. The way people like Ochacho suddenly rise to wealth and fame, with no clear pathway, no transparent story, no demonstrated expertise, is exactly why Nigeria keeps sinking. We celebrate overnight billionaires without asking basic questions, and in doing so, we normalize a culture where success is detached from competence, discipline, or any real contribution to society.

One moment that really exposed this was when Ochacho was interviewed and asked what advice he would give his sons on how to be successful. Instead of offering wisdom, principles, or even practical guidance, he simply said they should “believe in God, trust God, and things will work out fine.” That was it. Nothing about hard work, strategy, education, innovation, or character. Just the same vague religious platitudes we hear from almost every overnight billionaire in Nigeria.

And this is the problem: when people who cannot articulate the foundations of their own success become role models, the society loses its sense of direction. We start celebrating shortcuts instead of systems, luck instead of labour, mystery instead of merit. Young people look at these figures and conclude that success is about connections, sudden miracles, or unexplained breakthroughs, not about building, learning, or creating value.

Until we stop elevating people whose stories don’t add up, and start celebrating those whose journeys actually teach something, we will keep sinking. A society becomes what it praises, and right now, Nigeria praises the wrong things.

The Source is not Geniue as long as you are a Nigerian.

But give him time if The Meth Lab is not discovered, The Cocaine Stacks house will be busted or rather still the Fraud and Luandry will be uncovered.

As long as you are not into Entertainment and you come with a Fuuuuuuuuuucking Tattoo you don't need a sooth sayer to tell you the category he belong

Forbes is not entirely correct with their publication and I will give you some few examples.

Tony Elumelu is worth between $3billion to $5billion US dollars but Forbes don't publish him as a billionaire in USD.

Cosmos Maduka the owner and founder of Coscharis group is a known billionaire of many years and he has said it with his mouth several times but Forbes don't publish him mostly because his company is not publicly listed which is what Forbes usually rely on.

Arthur Eze the founder of Oranto group with active and operational oil exploration company exploring crude oil and also into oil and gas business in several African countries including in some Oceania countries is not listed on Forbes as Billionaire in USD.

Allen Onyema the founder and owner of Airpeace is a confirmed dollar billionaire but Forbes don't list him for reasons best known to them including the fact that none of his companies are publicly listed or selling shares publicly which are what Forbes usually rely on.

Chief Vincent Amaechi Obianodo the owner and founder of Young Shall Grow Motors and numerous hospitality outlets and real estate businesses is a confirmed billionaire and he has said this severally, Forbes once published him and later stopped but the man laughs cos he knows his worth but because his companies are not publicly listed and selling shares, Forbes don't publish him anymore.

So there are several other dollar billionaires that Forbes don't publish and I believe it's because their companies or firms are not publicly quoted or listed and selling shares which is what Forbes relies on most times in making up their rich list
arthur eze made me laugh 😆 that man is not even worth 600 million dollars but una don use hype give am billionaire.

Elumelu was nearing a billion dollar last but couldn’t, cosmos maduka and Allen onyema are billionaires ? Hahahahaha make una stop disgrace una self abeg

Money without power is useless.

If you are poor, you'll think money is everything.

But once you have money, you'll understand the importance of power.

It's easy for peller never to get arrested in Nigeria because he had influence. But last year, you could arrest Ochacho and no one would care.

But with increased fame, it makes it harder to just pull him out.
Such n0nse is only applicable in Nigeria where nothing functions.
