We dey waste a lot of good things for kitchen. These seeds you toss in dustbin get serious health benefits:

*1. Melon Seeds (Egusi Melon Cousin)
*What it does: Packed with magnesium, zinc, and healthy fats. Good for heart, blood sugar, and male fertility.
*How to use: Dry them, roast lightly, grind to powder. Add to soup or chew a handful as snack.
*Pro tip: Don’t swallow whole — grind or chew well so your body can absorb it.

*2. Pawpaw Seeds
*What it does: Natural dewormer. Fights bacteria, helps liver and digestion. Also good for kidney.
*How to use: Dry 1 spoon of seeds, grind, and add to smoothies or take with honey. Bitter sha, but it works.
*Note: Pregnant women should avoid it.

*3. Orange/Lemon Seeds
*What it does: Contain antioxidants and limonene. Helps boost immunity and fights inflammation.
*How to use: Dry them, grind to fine powder. Add small amount to tea or blend with your fruit juice.
*Pro tip: Don’t use too much, it’s bitter and strong.

*4. Tomato Seeds
*What it does: Has lycopene and fiber. Good for prostate health and reduces inflammation.
*How to use: When making stew, don’t sieve them out completely. Or dry, grind, and add to soups/sauces.
*Pro tip: Cooked tomato seeds release more lycopene than raw.

*5. Pumpkin Seeds (Ugu)*
*What it does: Loaded with zinc, magnesium, and protein. Helps sleep, blood sugar, and hair growth.
*How to use: Roast and eat as snack, or grind and add to Egusi soup for extra thickness.
*Pro tip: Soak overnight before roasting to remove anti-nutrients.

Bottom line: Next time you cut fruit or cook, pause before you throw those seeds away. Free nutrients dey there.

Update; (including Watermelon fruit seed and Avocado seed)
Watermelon Fruit Seed;
Watermelon fruit is sweet but the seed is medicine. Free protein, magnesium and zinc is inside. Don't swallow them whole else your body won't absorb the nutrient. You wash it, sun-dry it then grind and add to your soup or chew as groundnut.

Avocado seed; it is loaded with antioxidants that fights free radicals. Its good for the heart and cholesterol. It boosts digeetion, an immune booster and also has anti-inflammatory properties, it also controls blood sugar spike.

How to use it: Wash the seed , dry in the sun for 2-3 days then grind to fine powder. Boil like 1tsp in water for 10min and drink. Or you can add 1/2tsp powder to your soup. Don't eat it raw, don't take too much. Pregnant women avoid it.

It's strange to see it on the list because, who the hell throws away tomato seeds on purpose?
