Christian Dominated States That Voted For Tinubu In 2023 Should Lick Their Wound by MrsAyomide(op):

Yes, they should lick their wounds because some of them didn’t see beyond their nose and still can’t see till this moment ..

They have zero regards for you..

Benue,Ondo and Ekiti Christians, have it at the back of your minds that you are not regarded as a believer in their eyes..

They have no respect for you band your religion..

Yes, there were some good Christians and sensible Muslims that voted against Bola in the aforementioned states in 2023, but the turn out wasn’t a satisfactory one

As a christian, i can at least speak for myself

As a Christian, I refuse to allow the reckless words of any extremist cleric to become the compass for my Christianity.

Christ said, “You are the light of the world.” My standard is therefore Christ—not the provocation, intolerance or political rhetoric of somebody from another faith.

Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to the patterns of this world. Yet what could be more worldly than allowing politicians to divide Christians and Muslims into permanent political enemy camps?

I completely reject this dangerous **“us versus them”** politics you and the shameless PULPIT POLITICIANS are trying to promote.

A Christian in Benue, Ondo or Ekiti does not become less Christian because he voted differently from you. Neither does voting for a particular candidate confer a certificate of Christianity.

“By their fruits you will know them”—not by their ballot papers.

Governments will come and go. Elections will be won and lost. Political parties will rise and fall.

But Christianity must remain bigger than partisan politics.

So challenge politicians. Criticise governments. Vote according to your conscience.

But don't weaponise the Cross to police another Christian's ballot.

My faith belongs to Christ. My vote belongs to my conscience.

You are not a Christian.

The Bible said, when the righteous is in power the people rejoice.

Do you know how many times God had to change the kings of Israel because of bad leadership?

You cannot be a Christian and vote for a president who supports the killing of Christians

This gobbledegook here is part of the reason why I remain convinced that religion is behind the complacency and passivity on the side of Christians and traditionalists in Nigeria towards the Islamic agenda that is the country. 😒

Also, if I am going to guess, my guess would be that this person is from the RCCG arm of APC. 😒

I beg to differ! He could be a Nigerian Christian, actually. Recall that the RCCG, the Christian arm of the APC, is also recognized as a Christian organization. And their pastor is famously tied to all this. undecided

You have actually demonstrated the very “us versus them” mentality my post criticised.

I said my Christianity is defined by Christ, not by the political choices of Muslims, Christians, clerics or political parties. Your response is to speculate about which “arm of APC” my church supposedly belongs to.

That is not an answer. It is religious profiling.

Rejecting religious extremism does not require me to embrace Christian political extremism in response. Darkness is not defeated by manufacturing another darkness and calling it light.

If there is an “Islamic agenda,” identify it, provide the evidence and let us confront the specific facts. But telling Christians that they are complacent, compromised or somehow less Christian because they refuse to vote according to your religious-political template is precisely the weaponisation of faith I reject.

My church does not determine my ballot, and my ballot does not determine my Christianity.

That really shouldn't be controversial.

You don't get to revoke another person's Christianity because his political judgment differs from yours.

And Proverbs 29:2 does NOT say, “When my preferred candidate is in power, Christians rejoice.” It teaches the value of righteous leadership. Christians can agree on that principle while honestly disagreeing about which candidate best satisfies it.

Yes, Scripture condemns wicked rulers. It also tells us, “By their fruits you will know them.” So if you claim a president whose wife and daughters are christians supports the killing of Christians, that is an extremely serious accusation—produce evidence that he actually supports such killings rather than treating assertion as proof.

Condemn every killing of Christians. Condemn the killing of Muslims too. Demand security and justice from government.

But Christianity is faith in Christ—not membership of a political voting bloc.

You may question my political judgment. You do not get to determine my relationship with Christ from my ballot paper.

1. The Jesus Christ of Israel presented in the Bible had an "US vs THEM" mentality centrally encoded in His teachings and commandments. So, yeah, you have completely lost me where you claim you follow Jesus.... but then the Jesus Christ of Christianity is also a strange being when compared to the one in the Bible... or maybe you meant Isa of Islam, I think. 🤔🤔🤔

Also, the claim that you are for Christ while at the same time voting in people with ideologies that literally call for the subjugation and death of everyone who doesn't believe in Islam leads me to believe you are definitely from the APC faction of things(RCCG). I know that Christian religious theology claims that Jesus Christ of Christianity is the light(a representation of good). Does this light now go well with the darkness that sees to it that all Christians are to be subjugated and/or killed then? Anyway... religion no be my thing. I prefer common sense! 🤔🤔

2. You are talking to the wrong person! I hate all religions, especially political systems like Islam that masquerade as religion. I don't like them at all. I understand they play a role in the particular delusions people hold to... I at least get that. But on the whole, religion is an abomination to me. So, this gobbledegook of yours will never make sense to me. 🤔🤔

I will vote Tinubu again because he is only one bold enough to give us restructuring among the other candidates unlike Peter obi is who is not only coward but has low intellectual acumen. I believe if he could remove fuel subsidy, and double exchange rate despite strong opposition to it then he can give us restructuring and resource control.

Were Christians not being kidnapped and killed under the GEJ presidency every day? Was it not under Obasanjo that sharia law was allowed and Boko Haram was birthed?

Aunty, I did not engage you, as I've been here long enough to know how erratic you are.

Anyway, since you started it:

1. Yes, in case you have chosen to forget, the Sharia we have now, the political one, instituted and codified by state governors, which generally makes non-muslims second hand citizens inthe states that practice it, began under OBJ.

Nigeria was over 40 years old, and had 10 different heads of state/government, from Balewa till Abdusalami...and only one was unserious enough and unable to stop Yerima from starting this rubbish. It's not my fault, nor history's fault, that he happened to be a Christian.

2. Did I say he/you should vote for anybody?

You are the ones who have the temerity to play God and tell a Christian brother he is not a Christian, solely because as Jesus commanded, he is able to separate his relationship with the Almighty from the state/government ,by "giving to Ceaser what is Ceaser's, and giving his heart and soul to God".

I wonder why the likes of Joseph, David, Daniel and Esther did not plan coups to ensure "the righteous reigns" .....righteous with a gay son and Pandora accounts!

From Genesis, God tells us he has allowed us freewill, we can choose and make choices, but if you think your choice is always that of the Almighty, then you are just as arrogant as the Morning Star.

Edit: I forgot, Boko started under OBJ's era, no need to argue these things when google is a second away.

2. I never said he was not of the religion of Christianity. I literally pointed out that even the RCCG man is a Christian, too. In the same breath, I also pointed out that the Jesus Christ of Israel that is written of in the Books of the Bible is completely different from the Jesus Christ of Christianity. So, why do you falsely accuse me of that which I never did? Is it so you can win yourself some mental brownie points or something? 🤔🤔

3. Plan a coup? So, the only way you Christians can stand/vote against the killing of Christians and non-Christians is to plan a coup? Yikes!🤔🤔

Since you are not a Christian there is absolutely no need to debate anything Christianity with you, as it will be a general waste of productive time.

As for Sharia in the constitution, we have always had Islamic courts in Nigeria for almost as long as Islam has been in the country. Even the British recognised Islamic courts and jurisprudence. Again, google is your friend.

If your problem is the actual mention of the word "Sharia" in the constitution, again you can go and meet "Christian" Obasanjo, who as Head of State, ensured the first mention of the word 47 years ago, for a constitution he shepherded.

So to answer the silly question you keep asking, yes, he did write and ensure "Sharia" was mentioned in our constitution!

But to be serious, this is different from having a Sharia political system, where even if I am not a Muslim, I am subject to Sharia practices/tennents.

To make it clear to you, I have no business with a court that deals with marriage if I am not married, or involved in a marriage dispute.

That was the way Sharia courts had always been from the time of the British, if you are not muslim, you cannot be bound or held by its decision.

However once the governors made it state law, anyone in their state, can now be punished for offences they would never has been punished for in the past, whether muslim or not. A muslim police force exists in Kano that can now arrest me, despite being a Christian.

Political Sharia, or forcing Islamic practices on everyone in a state, is what has encouraged all the nonsense we see now, and if OBJ had been a good student of history or knew world/islamic affairs properly, he would have forseen the consequences of his inactions.

Life is ironic, especially as this all started under a Christian ruler, something it seems you people are suggesting now, is the only way to make/keep Christians safe!

My opinion is, true Christians who really study and understand the Bible, will appreciate how ironic Life really is, and the fact that God is God, and how be does things, you will never truly grasp...... so stop thinking he needs your help for a "Christain" or"righteous" outcome to occur, because no where in the Bible does it say he does!!

1. Isn't it a tard eejiotic to presume that having no religion means one should have no say as far as how or which religion can or should impact one's life and existence? 🥱🥱🥱

2. Islam has been in Nigeria for over 1000 years, as Nigeria was colonized by Islam for at least that long. The Almajiri system in Northern Nigeria today is literally a relic from the Islamic slave trade, where black Africans were born and trained in Islam from childhood so they could serve their Arab colonizers, whom they were sent off to serve in the Arab world. Nigeria was created more recently and has only been included in the Constitution recently, and this was, again, never by Obasanjo. Obasanjo was elected through the Constitution. He had no powers over the Constitution. undecided

3. Yet, Deborah was murdered in that same country, and her murderers walk free to this day because the same Sharia you wish for me to believe has no power over those outside of the religion demands that Islamists not be penalized for crimes against non-Islamists? Just so you know, Taqqiyya ain't doing you much good with me. 🥱🥱

4. Excuse you? Political Sharia? Are you joking? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look, you keep harping on Obasanjo as though he should have been the messiah you don't expect the current administration to be. I don't understand why you keep bringing him up when he has done his time and moved on. 🥱🥱

5. You religious people spew gobbledegook like expertise in such nonsense places you somewhere in the world outside of your minds. There are over 4000 deities out there, and from my reading, the Allah of Islam(and his many different iterations) is nothing compared to the deities of the religion of Christianity. So, I am not sure why you think these "God this ... and God that..." mentions should mean anything to those outside of your heads. 🥱🥱

I don't agree that Islam has been in Nigeria for over a 1000 years. I know its on Google, but I read proper historical text books and none suggested a time so long, so I seriously doubt this.

As for your point on Obasanjo, he was the Military Head of State, when the word Sharia was first mentioned in a constitution, he put together. That was clear from my previous answer and I know you are pretending to be dense.

Aunty, what are you saying?? Read what I said, did I tell you that Sharia has no power over Christians post political Sharia....are you now talking for the sake of talking?

4. Excuse you? Political Sharia? Are you joking? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look, you keep harping on Obasanjo as though he should have been the messiah you don't expect the current administration to be. I don't understand why you keep bringing him up when he has done his time and moved on. 🥱🥱

I keep bringing OBJ up because his inactions allowed this mess to start.

We know you don't live in Nigeria, but you have been making noise on this forum for a long time, I don't believe you are a gen Z baby that I need to take you through these history lessons one by one.

I have already told you that having religious discussions with you makes no sense to me, seeing as religion is not a science where 2+2 equals 4.

In a debate, you should have something to take/offer, so why would I rationally debate religion with someone who could tell me tomorrow she believes in aliens or the marvel multiverse... just take this as time to conserve energy so you have time to cook and clean for your household grin

➜I knew I'd regret debating with you, as it was only a matter of time before your erratic nature took over. Not once did I say what you allege....but I understand your square-square must come out some how.
➜ I don't agree that Islam has been in Nigeria for over a 1000 years. I know its on Google, but I read proper historical text books and none suggested a time so long, so I seriously doubt this.
➜ As for your point on Obasanjo, he was the Military Head of State, when the word Sharia was first mentioned in a constitution, [b]he put together.
That was clear from my previous answer and I know you are pretending to be dense.

1. Why bring it up if it isn't alleged? 🥱🥱🥱

2. Let me guess! You think proper books are not online, abi? If I, for example, post verses from an online Bible or Quran, those verses cannot be the same because, according to your mental, proper books are not online. Right? Anyways, go read a book about the Kanem‐Bornu Empire. 🥱🥱

3. Again, Obasanjo never had a hand in the creation of the current Nigerian Constitution. 🥱🥱

4. Stop Taqqiyya-ing yourself into a corner! Sharia is Sharia, and it is the political document that is Islam, the political system that seeks to masquerade as a religion. 🥱🥱

5. And his inaction is the reason why we should not be expected even now to take action against the problem which exists to this day? I still do not see the sense behind the continued mentions of a man who failed to resolve the issue in the past.🥱🥱

6. Literally telling me that religion is ILLOGICAL goes ahead and makes every point I have made to this time about why religion is not only gobbledehook and should not be made a part of anything reasonable. 🥱🥱

You admitted that it is impossible to RATIONALLY debate religion, yet follow it up by claiming you can debate religion RATIONALLY? Do you know this is what cognitive dissonance is literally about? 🥱🥱

Unlike you (I'm sure), I did my elementary in Nigeria and was taught proper history in Secondary school. That's why, unlike you, I knew that the Kanem Empire (not what you call Kanem-Bornu) was never Nigerian initially as their seat of power was way up north jn Chad with most of their territory the surrounding area!

They only moved properly to present day Bornu in the 14th century after losing most of that region, thus becoming properly Nigerian and the referred to a Kanem-Bornu. Even with that, they didn't try Islamising Nigeria like the way the Fulani would do centuries later.

3. Again, Obasanjo never had a hand in the creation of the current Nigerian Constitution.
🥱🥱

[b] Aunty, the Current Nigerian Constitution is not much different from any constitution since 1979, so stop pretending to be dense. Nothing in this constitution supported the political Sharia that we now see.

I know you are Yoruba, so if OBJ is your relative, just says so and let us be done with this charade.

4. Stop Taqqiyya-ing yourself into a corner! Sharia is Sharia, and it is the political document that is Islam, the political system that seeks to masquerade as a religion. 🥱🥱
Sharia of OBJ era and downwards, was not the type of Sharia we had in Nigeria pre democracy. If you do not understand something, ask nicely and our brothers up North will tell you the difference. Anyway, from what I hear, things have eased a bit, but that is not in every state.
5. And his inaction is the reason why we should not be expected even now to take action against the problem which exists to this day? I still do not see the sense behind the continued mentions of a man who failed to resolve the issue in the past.🥱🥱

So tell me, what is the action you want to take?

We vote in a Christian president that will wipe out Sharia and ensure no Christian gets killed up North abi? Just like Obj and GEJ did during their era abi?

What action is it that a Christian president can take against Islamic extremism that a muslim one can't take? I am very interested.

If say an Osinbajo had been the president and Donald Trump had acted and bombed Nigeria the way he did, is it the muslims that you currently know in Nigeria that would have swallowed it without reprisals??

The fact that you don't live in the country doesn't mean you should actively be dreaming of creating scenarios that mean more death for the Christians you suddenly love and want to protect

No matter what you do, I cannot argue religion with you. If you were a Christian you'd probably understand, but you can check up Psalm 14 v1 to have an idea how I am instructed to view you.

1. WOW... so, me wey I do nursery, primary, secondary and University for Nigeria, you automagically think say you supposed know better than? The kind mentality wey you carry for there ehn... dem no dey am for market!
The Kanem-Bornu Empire was a large African state which existed from the 9th century through the end of the 19th century and which spanned a region which today includes the modern-day countries of Niger, Chad, Cameroon, and Nigeria. The empire was founded by the Zaghawa nomadic people, who may have been the first in the central Sudan to acquire and make use of iron technology and horses.
Your lack of knowledge is yet another indictment against the Nigerian Education system. 🥱🥱🥱

Even the claim that they moved properly when we all know that kingdoms conquered more land through war and violence speaks volumes about your kind of taqiyya-laden education. 🥱🥱

2. Ah, I see! So, because both the 1979 Constitution that was created during the Obasanjo military regime and the current 1999 Constitution that was created outside of Obasanjo's recent rule enshrine Sharia means Nigerians should not today require that Sharia be completely removed from the Constitution? Is this your argument? 🥱🥱

OBJ is my relative? Is Tinubu not also a Yoruba man? Why does your brain reason that I can be against Tinubu and Adeboye but I somehow have to be for OBJ? My gosh! I wonder how your brain literally jumbles all this mental chaos to make it fit. 🤣🤣🤣

3. I am sorry, what? Why should I give a flying f-ck about what sort of sharia you had when the main issue is that Sharia is completely incompatible with democracy and needs to be removed from the Constitution? 😒😒

4. So, let me get this straight! Is your argument that because Obasanjo failed to remove it, Yar'adua failed, Jonathan failed, Buhari failed, and now Tinubu also failed, that Nigerians should not, from that, decide to elect a Christian President next? undecided

5. Well, we have so far seen at least 4 Islamist presidents fail to remove it, with the last two going as far as to enshrine the two-tier policing even more than the regimes which came before them. So, certainly you can see that to get rid of Sharia from the Constitution, it should no longer be up to the politicians but the people to, through a constitutional referendum, decide the path for themselves and the nation at this point. Also, rather than elect an Islamist or a Christian, I would rather the country maybe consider a less religious entity this time around. An atheist or a traditionalist might be better suited for the job, provided he or she knows well that his or her one job is to do as the people desire. But then, I could dream, couldn't I? 😒😒

6. This nonsense makes no sense to me! 😒😒

7. You cannot argue religion with me, yet everything you do is an attempt to spew what amounts to religious gobbledegook at me? No be mindfuckery dem dey call that? undecided

You are funny! Psalm 14 vs 1 regarding those who think there is no God. I never said I don't have a God. I simply said religion is an abomination to me and my mental health. By the way, throughout the verses of that book, which is the Bible(including the Book of Psalms), the YHWH of Israel(Not Nigeria) decried and disavowed all those who would adopt religion while pretending to be of him. Your religion literally has nothing to do with that book. 😒😒
