We live in a world where religion and ethnicity differences are the other of the day. People have a kind of favoritism for someone who is of the same religion as them.

Even in social places like schools, banks, and offices, religious discrimination still takes place.

But one thing most people fail to understand is that a person's religion or ethnicity does not define them. Their views & belief might be different from yours but that doesn't make them inferior.

This short article is about a man who dominates in an environment most persons will find difficult or impossible.

Sadiq Kahn is a devout Muslim politician who currently serves as the mayor of London. London is not just the capital city of England, but also the largest in the country.

In 2016, Sadiq Kahn made history by becoming the first Muslim Mayor of England with a 57% vote.
England is a country with a very high percentage of Christians. In fact, the core of the British colony is built on the Christian faith. So basically, Islam is a minority religion not just in London, but in England as a whole.

Mayor Kahn has Pakistani roots - another minority ethnic group in England. This generally means that he became Mayor despite coming from an ethnic & religious minority.

Not only has he served as Mayor, but also as a Minister of State for Transport and a member of parliament.

In 2019, Mayor Sadiq Kahn was named "UK politician of the year" by the house of commons.

Kahn is a practicing Muslim who attends the daily prayers and also fasts during Ramadan. He has been described as a social & liberal democrat and Muslim.

He is happily married and has two daughters all raised in the Muslim faith.

He was born and raised in London, we you expecting him to be a mayor in Pakistan? Even Barack Hussein Obama was president in the United States. They are obviously very tolerant and educated muslims unlike the ones beheading people all over Europe

Even animals must be treated with honest and they must be given all their rights.

The mercy of Islam extends beyond human beings to all living creations of God.  Islam prohibits cruelty to animals.  Fourteen hundred years ago, long before the modern animal rights movement began with the publication of Peter Singer’s book, "Animal Liberation," in 1975, Islam required kindness to animals and cruelty to them a sufficient reason for a person to be thrown into the Fire!

Once, the Prophet of Mercy spoke of God’s forgiveness due to the humane treatment of animals.  He told his companions the story of a man who got thirsty on his way.  He found a  well, climbed down inside it to the water, and quenched his thirst.  When he came out he saw a panting dog licking on mud out of extreme thirst.  The man thought to himself, ‘The dog has become as thirsty as I was!’  The man went down the well again and got some water for the dog.  God appreciated his good work and forgave him.  The companions asked, ‘O Prophet of God, do we get rewarded on humane treatment of animals?’  He said, ‘There is a reward in (doing good to) every living being.’

On another occasion, Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, described God’s punishment of a woman who was sent to Hell because of a cat.  She kept her locked up, neither feeding her nor setting her free to feed herself.
