One delegate even recalled how he had to take a ferry to PH from his province in Western Cameroun, then board a train to Enugu his supposed capital voting the total lack of infrastructure and govt presence in his province and he also complained of how everything was being concentrated in Enugu.

Some of you here boast regularly about Enugu being the fastest growing city in Africa at the time but forget to tell us that every development was concentrated in Enugu and Ibo land at the detriment of every other non Ibo province..

That's why I keep saying that Enugu was the first Abuja in terms of robbing other areas of their resources to build a city deep in the hinterlands far away from where the economic activity was going on.
