Please please i will be relocating to Lagos for 1year Assignment. Work location is VI

How do i navigate the issue of Accommodation + transportation as i don't want to stay far away and face the hassle of traffic or long distance movement.

The prices i am getting for houses in Victoria island is off the roof even with shared apartment

Please what are my options
