1. U make same amount irrespective of the type of car u are driving.
2. U gain more if ur car consumes less fuel reason d argument for gas which is way cheaper.
3. Not sure what u are trying to say but are u aware electric car drivers deliver 50k daily? Do the maths urself.
4. If u aren't Netting N1m monthly it's ur making not the business.

I know right....

The guy told me the MD just made the decision.

My guess government is really trying to push cng u know Lagos State Govt is highly involved with IOGC. But whatever the case IOGC were amongst the pioneers of cng in Nigeria and dey are excellent converters with good after service so one has nothing to lose.

I can work 6days a week but its not sustainable and unpredicted prices on some days wey dey weak morale. 800K is realistic if u work 20-24days.

Someone wants to sell this direct tokunbo Honda to me for 4m, it is automatic transmission and 3plug engine. Initially, I wanted to convert my car next month to CNG but with this new offer, I’m thinking of selling my car to buy this Honda.

Which would you advise me to go for?
This is Kenneth Kelechi car.

Lagos state government sincerely caring about the welfare of its citizen, i will believe that when all the owo mi da boys are pulled off all the Lagos roads. i will believe that when lagos roads are no longer littered with potholes.
Lagos state government pushing CNG on us, when the conversation should be about drivers using electric vehicles. "All i really want to say is that they don't really care about us"... MJ

AI Overview In 2026, fuel takes an average of 30% to 42% of a driver's gross daily earnings in Lagos.Percentage of Gross EarningsHigh-end estimate: Drivers making a gross daily income of ₦60,000 often spend up to ₦25,000 on fuel, which equals roughly 41.6% of their total intake.General range: Most users on Quora agree that daily gross earnings range from ₦40,000 to ₦100,000, while fuel costs alone consume ₦8,000 to ₦25,000.Lower-end estimate: Part-time or lower-earning days yielding ₦18,000 to ₦25,000 in gross fares typically see fuel taking about ₦4,500 to ₦6,000, or roughly 24% to 25% of the total intake.Share of Operating ExpensesFuel is the single largest running cost for ride-hailing drivers.Data analyzed by Wheelzar indicates that fuel accounts for over 50% of a driver's total operating expenses, outstripping maintenance, car rentals, and platform commissions. If you'd like, I can provide a full daily profit and loss breakdown that includes platform commissions and maintenance costs.

Honestly i hope the data is not true, by the time you add commission, OMG, honestly dont blame people who out of desperation have embraced CNG. Please data analyst in the house your comment would be appreicated.

Bro that an expensive shit. This is a less expensive shit for them now which is pushing cng.

Honestly I agree dey don't care and even pushing d cng narrative is not caring for us but for their pockets as ultimately it will benefit them in profits and well as any sane driver who is smart enough to maximize opportunitiestongue

Point of correction my chief

Some electric

Some are 60k daily

Ours is meet 80k after bolt commission .
Sone experienced drivers get this target with 5-7 trips

There are drivers that gross over 100k daily come rain or shine

The higher you earn the more reward u get

Update : If you want to get a vehicle on hire purchase

Visit

Fina trust bank
46 Toyin street ikeja

Requirement

1M deposit
Bolt/Uber / Indrive profile page
Earnings for 6 months
( They won't really check this cos some of my mates have just 2-3 months, a guy with one month earning got a car )

They will check ur credit score to know if u are indebted to any loan app or bank

When u come with the requirement and u get accessed and pass u show them the vehicle u need and the dealer .

Note they also have vehicles but if u are not interested in theirs u can come with your own dealer .

Dealer gets paid and they collect the vehicle .

Execute the registration and insurance

Install tracker so they can retrieve the vehicle if u fail to meet up ur financial obligation .

My colleagues have gotten vehicles at an average of 1OM Camry Elantra

Some got corrolla or other vehicles less than 10M

My guy who got an elentra for 10M is paying back 177k weekly for two years

People who did 3 years are paying 155k weekly

Me I no fit chest this one

E too big for me

But guys are doing it .

If u are strong enough to do it visit the bank .

Na update I give and I know say e go benefit one person .

No go do wetin ur hand no reach becos if u fail to deliver for one week them go reclaim the motor .

U see, it's thinking like this that makes me cringe.

What on earth will make u think anybody cannot get any information about ehailing unless he reads nairaland thread?
Nobody needs to read on nairaland that drivers are or are not making money before they get the real picture .

Everyday u hear companies coming up with figures even me sef I never imagine possible, yet drivers are doing it.
I wouldn't have believed if a Cabzero driver didn't tell me with his own mouth that dey deliver 50k daily. When Moove started collecting N9,200 daily, this thread was still on 30k weekly preaching.
So was it on this thread that those companies discovered how to milk drivers?
So my friend, whatever u think u are hiding is on the street for all to see

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by tobby98: 12:07pm On Aug 17
The thing is everyone should only speak of their own experience and not try to shut others off. I know folks wjo earn 70k daily after expenses, i have once tried it 2 months ago, i did it for just a week and i had to rest all through the next week. Though it is better when you own the car sha...People make money on this ehailing till tomorrow, it is just that, there's a new influx of classless drivers who don't care or know enough about this hustle before venturing in it and are picking terrible prices. What do you mean you're carrying rides of 2900 or 1800 or even 2,500? Are you normal? Be you on CNG, electric, give yourself some decency. You don't just carry riders and base the cost on fuel alone, your time and vehicle maintenance must be factored in. The prices i saw yesterday when I wanted to work a little was not even encouraging for what weekend used to be. The thing is that money is not yet in circulation, people are just coping but they have to adjust. Many people really need ride for important meetings, events and movements, if we focus on this folks, even 3 or 5 quality ride a day is okay for any driver, you have less time on the road but desperation and hunger wan kill some of them. I use fuel with a car with Venza engine, but I am sure i make more than some on CNG or electric. I no fit carry yeye prices, i am patient and i understand positioning from just reading people's experiences here and on the job experience. I still work my 9-5 on and off but I no dey even wait for Salary before I take care of little bills or myself. Even my boss sef dey observe me when I order food or buy new clothing, she no dey try werey reach my side, coz I exude confidence in my appearance and manners/conduct. Some Uber drivers no dey even eat, them don resemble beggars finish, don't you think the body that works deserves to eat? Those of una way dey accept yeye prices, make una give una sef brain o. Make una no go spoil this Ember period for us o. Thanks to all the OGs here, una advices and tips brought us this far. I started around this time last year, and since then, the difference is clear. Imagine owning a car and being broke most times, unable to pay some bills even your enemy go doubt you but na you know your self, but now we can use our property(car) to make money to use to do ads and support the main hustle. God would help us all, Amen 🙏

Drivers on CNG delivers 100k weekly. I've someone who is driving a 1.3L Mazda 2 and he pays 120k weekly on RENTAL. Guy still pays weekly Ajo of 50k with us.

No let anyone whine you about the work, a lazy man is a lazy man even if you give am the car for 15k weekly he will still give you story.

Yes that's the daily target

If u exceed it u get commissions
.

There is a commission for

80-100

Another for above 100k

If u get 80k ur net pay is 14666 for the day .

Note : drivers use EV and company has got its charging stations .

It depends on the vehicle

Yes there are experienced drivers with 2007 and below vehicles earning big time with less trips but for this post am referring to electric vehicles , CNG, and 2010 and above cars

You won't use an older version vehicle to compete with a 2024 Electric Vehicle that is comfortable and spacious .

These vehicles are on bolt priority ( if the drivers score and acceptance rate is high ) or bolt comfort ..

The price difference for trips on this list is higher than ordinary bolt .

The vehicles these guys are getting for hire purchase are btw 2010-2012

They would definately be on bolt comfort .

Never used Uber or Indrive so I don't know about their packages

Check out the example below

If priority was on that list it would still be like 3.5k - 5k higher
