billsilverman:
This story is 100% verified to be true from the source but I will not mention names for now because it involves very wealthy people in society.

This event happened one Saturday morning in the mid-late 90's because there was sanitation every Saturday morning, the father was cleaning the house as usual and as he was almost done he entered the kitchen to clean, while he was cleaning the kitchen shelves he found a charm behind the shelf, at the time there were 4 people living in that house;

The man and his wife,
Two boys(both children of the man and wife)
The wife's younger brother.

According to the story the man took the charm downstairs with a cutlass in hand and burnt the charm to ashes, there was no quarrel According to what I was told but it was finally said that it was the younger brother of the woman that put the charm in the house. Prior to that, the narrator said that his mother's brothers hated his low-key hated his father, according to him whenever his dad bought them clothes, his uncle, the one accused of bringing charm into the house would make jest of them saying that the clothes are fake and inferior, when his dad wanted to buy a car, he sent the money to one of his moms brothers to buy the car for him but the man bought a condemn car that overheats.
This is a true life story, the mother has always accused her husband's people of witchcraft and she tried to turn the children against the father. The father ultimately died but before he died, there were few times he would collapse and ne short of breath and the mother was taking care of him and she involved prayer warriors. Here is the most chilling part, one afternoon there was a knock on the door and the two children rushed to the door before their mother came, when their mother opened the door the first thing she said was "I know it is because of my husband you came" then someone Amongst them said "we are already praying for him to die"

It gets more sinister after the death of the man.

He could have gone to get the car himself, since he knew his in laws were diabolical. Why depending on people who despise you?
Charm or no charm, when it's a man's time he's leaving

The man lived in Kano at the time while the inlaw lived in Lagos. Cars were far cheaper in Lagos than in kano. At the time, he didn't know that his inlaws were all diabolical, he thought the one using charm was the bad egg.
