The APC candidate wanted to implement sharia law on peaceful Osun residents

I'm so happy for him and the good people of Osun state. Congratulations!
Governor Ademola Adeleke has indeed sang & danced his way into victory at the polls.
Imagine, having the President of the Senate, Senators, Governors and Ministers against just one individual and the people of the State.
Shame on the federal might!
We all saw the Nigerian Police in hoods disrupting the polls by intimidating Accord Party Agents and supporters.
Shame on the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo aka (Confusing D7) for disgracing himself publicly in Osun State.

Osun people like entertainment walaai

In a functional democracy, a politician should seek re-election based on measurable achievements, tangible development, and the positive impact of their administration, not on how much money, food, or other “peanuts” they can distribute to voters during election season.

Sadly, we seem to have normalised a system where politicians can neglect their responsibilities for years, appear during elections with handouts, and still expect the people to reward them with another term.
I do not live in Osun State, so I may not have the full picture. But from what is visible, I honestly struggle to see the level of transformation that should justify rewarding the same leadership with another term.
So the question is simple: what exactly are the measurable achievements that qualify this man for re-election?
If the answer is merely political connections, handouts and the ability to mobilise voters with peanuts, then we are not electing leaders. We are rewarding mediocrity and perpetuating the very system that keeps Nigeria underdeveloped.

The saddest part is seeing people turn this into another pointless APC-versus-opposition party war.

You’ll see some people mocking APC now. But if the rigging had worked in APC’s favour and their candidate had won, many of these same people would be shouting that APC rigged the election.

This is exactly the mindset we need to outgrow.

What Nigerian youths need to understand is that rigging does not happen in a vacuum. If people refuse to register, collect their PVCs, show up and vote, there is very little for anyone to manipulate. Your vote actually matters.

If you genuinely want your preferred candidate to win, stop limiting your political participation to Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp. Get your PVC. Organise. Campaign. Mobilise people. And, most importantly, show up on election day and vote.

Elections are not won on social media. They are won at the polling unit.

Stop crying online after the results. Start doing the work before and on election day.

Rufai Oseni said he would lose the election. Some people didn't see this victory. Adeleke you are good.

D7 olodo already risen just dey chop L left, right, center, bringing the great Edo people into disrepute.
