@ Enskynelson Good morning, I have been concerned as I saw someone here complaining about not being able to graduate due to some pending Gst course which they didn't register from 100level to 200level as Direct entry students who started from 300level Like this now,I don't know if it is compulsory to register the gst courses as some of my course mates registered some of the gst courses last semester and wrote the exam unlike me this is holding me back from registering as i am currently in 300level 2nd semester |

chizzypresh:The issue is at the point of harvesting names. All eyes is mostly on those with high TCE forgetting some persons didn't enter from 100L The system need to be modified in such a way that for those that enters from 200 or 300L, the lower level courses shouldn't be showing in your portal at all except for the one you are due and this should also not show up in the support site. The lower level courses showing as pending courses takes a standing complaint to the department and follow up for them to act fast. Lower level GSTs are not compulsory for DE students except NOU/GST107 which is compulsory irrespective of your mode of entry. From the bold, if you notice you are due and not seeing your name, you have to send complaints via the support site and follow up. |

chizzypresh:U still didn't get all the info. If you are a 300L DE student, only NOU/GST107 is the lower level GST course compulsory for you. See here https://deags.nou.edu.ng/gst-courses-and-descriptions/ The portal need to be modified so that you dont even get to see those lower level courses not meant for you at all. |

Hello Ensky, Can I verify from you the decision rule NOUN uses to interprete data? I don't know if my question is clear enough? Enskynelson: |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Samo100(m): 4:17pm On Aug 15 |
The timetable drops as a 12-column PDF. You hunt for your 8 courses, copy the dates by hand, and pray you didn't read across the wrong row. Xamio does it for you. Upload the timetable → add your course codes → it pulls out only your exams and sends them to your calendar. Free. Under a minute. Nothing reaches your calendar until you've confirmed it. I'm a Nigerian dev — I built this because I needed it. Try it, and it's free. Save yourself stress 👉 https://xamio.app/ |

Buzzgal:For research, I think you meant. If p-value ≤ 0.05: reject the null hypothesis (H₀). If p-value > 0.05: do not reject the null hypothesis. If there are any specific ones, pls list. |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Buzzgal: 7:55pm On Aug 16 |
Yes. The p-value ≤ 0.05 decision rule is for inferential analysis. I was referring to the decision rule for mean (descriptive analysis). Enskynelson: |

📢 TMA 1 IS NOW OPEN! 🎓 Good day, dear Learners. TMA 1 is now open, so you can begin attempting your TMA. However, please take note of the following important information: 1️⃣ DON’T RUSH YOUR TMA If you are not ready to attempt your TMA now, there is no need to rush. You have time to prepare and attempt it. Take your time, study your materials, and attempt it when you are ready. 2️⃣ SOME COURSES MAY NOT OPEN YET If you try to open some of your courses and they are not opening, please don’t panic. Some courses may still be undergoing updates, and you may see a message saying that the questions have not been uploaded yet. 👉 This is not your fault. It is from the school. Just remain calm and check back later. 3️⃣ DON’T SUBMIT IF YOU ARE NOT READY ⚠️ If you have started a TMA but you are not finished or you are not satisfied with your answers, please do not click SUBMIT. You can close the browser and come back later to continue, as long as the system still allows you to resume the attempt. Remember: once you submit and your score is generated, you may not be able to go back to that particular TMA. 4️⃣ HAVEN’T REGISTERED YET? DON’T PANIC If you have not completed your registration yet, there is no need to panic. Once you complete the required registration and gain access to your e-Learning portal, you can begin your TMA according to the school’s schedule. 5️⃣ HAVE YOU NOT PAID YOUR SCHOOL FEES? _A number of students have been asking:_ “Can I do my TMA if I have not paid my school fees?” You need to complete the required registration/payment processes before you can access the e-Learning activities for your courses. Your registration process includes semester registration, course, and examination registration. 6️⃣ E-LEARNING ACCESS After completing your registration, your e-Learning access may not become available immediately. It can take some time for your details to reflect on the system. So, if you have completed your registration and you cannot access your e-Learning portal immediately, please don’t panic. Give the system time to update and keep checking. 📌 GENERAL ADVICE: DON’T RUSH! DON’T PANIC! Read the instructions carefully, prepare properly, and submit your TMA only when you are ready. If you need support with your TMA, feel free to send us a WhatsApp message:- 08117413104 |

@Enskynelson Good afternoon, please can i get a guide on how to go about the business plan?? GST302 and DES303 Please |
| Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 3:52pm On Aug 18 |
chizzypresh:*What's DES303?* DES303 is a course on Community Development. In simple terms, it teaches you how to identify problems in a community and work together to solve them in a way that improves people's lives. What is a community? A community is simply a group of people living in the same area or people who have something in common. Examples include a village, a school, a market, an orphanage, a church, or even a group of people with disabilities. What is community development? Community development means improving people's lives by identifying their needs and working together to solve their problems. It is not just about giving out money or gifts; it is about creating lasting solutions that benefit the community. What will you learn in DES303? You will learn how to: • Identify problems in a community. • Understand the causes of those problems. • Plan a project that addresses the problems. • Work effectively as a team. • Carry out a community development project. • Evaluate whether your project made a positive impact. Why are we visiting a community? The practical aspect of DES303 requires students to carry out a Community Development Project. This means choosing a community or organization, identifying a need, and carrying out an activity that will positively impact the people there. Examples of community development projects include: • Visiting an orphanage to donate food items or educational materials. • Organizing a health awareness campaign. • Cleaning a public environment. • Donating books to a school. • Teaching students about career opportunities. • Planting trees. • Empowering people with useful skills. What does the lecturer expect from you? Your lecturer expects you to: • Participate actively in planning the project. • Work together • Contribute financially • Attend the visitation. • Take pictures and videos as evidence. • Help prepare the final report of the project. How will you be graded? Your DES303 grade depends on the successful upload of the three required documents: • Proposal – Your project plan. • Logbook – A record of your activities and participation. • Report – A summary of the completed project and its impact. |
