Governor Adeleke Presents Certificate Of Return To President Tinubu

On Thursday 20 August 2026, newly re-elected Governor of Osun State Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke presented his certificate of return to President Bola Tinubu, after a closed-door meeting at the Aso Villa, Asokoro District, Abuja.

The governor arrived the villa in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV at 17:25 hours accompanied by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

This is his first meeting with the President after winning the Osun governorship election on Saturday 15 August 2026.

Adeleke was earlier presented with his certificate of return the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday 19 August and revealed his intention to establish a N500 million endowment fund for victims of election violence.

The governor contested on the platform of the Accord Party and got 511,067 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji who scored 444,815 votes.

Decamping to the almighty APC is loading. Last time, he was blocked from decamping to APC by Oyetola. No matter who wins in Osun State, it is a win-win for Tinubu. If you want to know the number of votes Tinubu will get in Osun State, just tally the APC and Accord results in the past governorship election. Just tell the black-clothes wearing joker bearing the NDC flag that he should not discard those clothes. After e red for him in 2027, e will need those clothes in mouning time

Asiwaju and Mr Talk and Do aka Gov Adeleke. The president is even wearing an Accord party colour cap. This man is way above his peers.
