Broom (their party symbol) that use to be #50 and #100 is now #500 and #1000 respectively. I Still wonder how any one with clear conscience support that party?

That man we're all referring to as president of Nigeria is clinically clueless and corrupt.

All he cares about is my turn, EMILOKAN.
I stopped blaming him. He never hid his intention. He said it publicly:

Grab it, snatch it and run away with it

Political power is not going to be served in a restaurant. It is not served à la carte. At all costs, fight for it, grab it, snatch it and run with it." (December 2022, speech to APC members in London)

"It is the turn of the Yoruba... and in Yorubaland, it is my turn." ("Emi lokan"wink (June 2022, primary campaign speech in Abeokuta)

"You've given me the mandate. Let me govern." (December 2024, Presidential Media Chat, widely criticized as an explicit dismissal of ongoing citizen pushback and accountability).

"Yes, before I was born there was hunger in this country. And I have no control of the population development of Nigeria's trajectory." (May 2026 statement on economic liabilities, viewed by critics as deflecting the executive duty of the state onto historical circumstance and the public).

"It is not going to be eldorado for everybody."
(December 2024 media chat, widely flagged by civil groups for signaling a governance approach that accepts unequal economic hardship under harsh fiscal policies).

"I stand before you proudly, noting that those who are afraid of the budget, the thoughts of borrowing. Yes, borrowing. If borrowing is a crime, the entire America should be in jail. If borrowing is a crime, stop using Mercedes-Benz and Lexus."

I have no problem with Tinubu anymore. The joke is not on him, the joke is on Nigeria as a society. A society that lacks integrity and explains away questionable things is making itself look like a clownish society. Tinubu is not the problem, it is the society that made it acceptable to lack integrity that is. In a normal society, it is APC as a party that would have screened out Tinubu, not the court. APC would have looked at who had better qualifications and moral compass as a party. It's not everything that is court or has to be written in the constitution. Some things are moral but what do I know? A whole SAN reminded us that the law is not moral and that's one of the first lessons I learned in law. Education is not enough, you can be educated but not learned, you can go to school but not schooled, you can come from a home but not raised properly and you can claim a lot of things but never be able to tell truth. Integrity is very expensive, all the money in the world cannot buy it.

SixSeven:
Our problem is that we like to celebrate nonsense. And by nonsense I mean, we celebrate material things, things that don't have value, no worth but only craving validation because it is not authentic.

The elders used to say that a man who does not know where the rain began to beat him cannot know where he dried his body. Today, we no longer look at a man’s character, we only look at the size of his harvest, even if he stole the yams. We have turned our backs on the quiet truth of our ancestors to dance to the loud drums of foolish men. Of course, when a society begins to crown jesters and mock the honest farmer, the roof is already falling on the house. That's why they once said when a thief tells you to gotocourt, his brother is the judge. It means the system is fixed, and a dishonest person is only acting bold because they control or have an unfair advantage in the system meant to judge them. They control the system, they are the king of boys

If we crush the seed of integrity just to celebrate the chaff, what will our children eat when the famine of character arrives? Na there we de so. Ajekun iya ti e je ehn, Davido and SDM never got sing am well yet.

When you say the truth in this country, you will begin to sound like a moralist, like a virgin, like a saint because we know what is true but it pains us when someone else is saying it and is not willing to participate in our lies. You don't look like you are normal anymore. Look at the Jemima Osunde video the other day, the comments to her outrage were not commending her, they were trying to normalize the madness they have created. Look at the drug smuggler Mawra and his NDLEA team caught, they were not even worried by the crime. They just wanted to replace him. Thieves. Idiotic thieves. They are so poor that the only thing they have is money.

Yinmu

Even those who can afford the current prices better than they could afford the old prices then would still lament deceitfully due to politics.

They are going to pretend like they didn't know that the Naira was floated.
Prices changed due to value of Naira going down. It was intentional not by mistake. It's a new govt policy.
Keep living in falsehood and lies.

Your shamelessness is nauseating. Tinubu is the worst failure in the history of this country. The currency was floated yes. But how come China, Japan, the US and other western economies haven't floated their currencies? Why is Japan still paying subsidies on petrol and the US subsidising it's farmers? Only a brain dead government like Tinubu's government will do something so stupid.

Why bother?

Remember the Yoruba actor that was campaigning vigorously for Tinubu a few months ago. His daughter cried out last week that he has stage IV cancer and doctors placed him on palliative care. Instead of crying to APC, she is courting public empathy. Karma came very early. I am glad nobody donated to assist them. They should take him to that imaginary world class hospital that APC built in his town.

Tulumbu on the beat

See what people want us to vote in again

Truly I wonder what APC would use to campaign against

Abeg who has poster of APC when they were asking if we were okay with 216 naira to a dollar

Opposition have so many things to campaign with
Prior to 2023 election; all popular candidates promised to remove subsidy and float the naira except Kwakwanso. If one of them is the current president we will still face the same scenario because this hyperinflation is due to subsidy removal and floating of the naira.

The only difference will just be that your choice candidate is the president while mine is not!

motymop:
The truth is that many people don't understand that inflation is the rate at which prices are increasing, not the present price of things

(Inflation in 2023 reached 28.92% by December, while food inflation was even higher at 33.93%)

Based on the goods shown in these screenshots, their prices increased by 430% on average between 2023 and 2026

Now compare that with the minimum wage....In 2023, minimum wage was 30k, today, it is 70k, an increase of 133%, So, literally, wages have not kept up with the increase in prices

The minimum wage more than doubled, but these goods became more than 5 times more expensive on average, that's why a higher wage doesn't necessarily mean people are better off

Salaries need to keep up with the cost of living so that people purchasing power doesn't continue to decline

The truth is even if they increase minimum wage, price of goods and services will still increase, govt need to bring price control in food, transportation, housing and electricity
You seem to be the only person that grasps the problem and has ideas that can fix it.

No I'm not. Obi and Atiku both promised to remove subsidy and float the naira; and we all know that these two decisions are the major cause of the hyperinflation we are experiencing. The only difference is that his own preferred candidate is not the current president.

What do you think you do better now that those people couldn't?

And do you think they were doing better before Tinubu govt?

How many beggars come to your doorstep everyday begging for alms or food?
