_“They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.”_[also]

This verse was revealed about some People of the Book. The Prophet ﷺ explained it to Adi ibn Hatim RA:

When Adi said "they did not worship them," the Prophet ﷺ asked: _“Did they not make haram what Allah made halal, and halal what Allah made haram, and you followed them?”_
Adi said: “Yes.”
The Prophet ﷺ said: _“That is their worship of them.”_[Tirmidhi]

Please share the translation of the meaning of Quran 9:31, so we discuss it.
Specifically the characters you name claiming to be like God are definitely not God or able to do what the almighty does.

I said in an earlier post that they would soon run out of excuses to defend the brazen acts of idolatry going on in the Catholic church, so not surprising seeing some of their most vocal leaders in these parts of the world admitting it for the first time.
One also went ahead to post the image above alongside his write-up, to illustrate that there's no difference between what a native doctor/babalawo was doing with a skull to that of the Catholic Bishop.
This is still not enough though, but hopefully is good step in the right direction, that would eventually lead to the point where they'd begin say a categorical no to any form of idolatry going on in the Catholic church, not just this one.

The difference is simple as in Islam Muslims do not worship the Black Stone. We honour it as a relic associated with Ibrahim’s House, while worship belongs to Allah alone. Comparing reverence for an object with worship is precisely the error you make here.

Just imagine; they declared 99% of our traditional religion practices repugnant to natural justice and good conscience, so they made us abandon our beliefs. To keep us enslaved, they promote the surface area of their religion, but observe the core values within their fold. What you all see in display in that video is what Catholicism stands to promote. And that’s why I will never attach myself to any religion belief till I die. They are all deceptive.

If by administration you mean religious leadership, note that Islam has no Catholic-style central hierarchy or pope. Scholars interpret and teach; they do not mediate salvation. Calling both religions a scam is a verdict, not an argument you can justify. Disagree with beliefs, but distinguish doctrine from its misuse.

What happens in that church is so shameful that sometimes, I see them as another cult like Ekankar, Grail Message and the like
