Is this V3 ?
I think maybe they are having general network issue by the time you mounted it.
It may improve later.

I've been having network interference since morning. What could be the issue?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by senator282: 9:29am On Aug 03
Omo since Nigerians started working as starlink customer service,to get free credit now is WAR even when there's genuine concern and real issues.

I don't know why starlink Nigerian customer service representative always handle my starlink issues, nawaaa ooo.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 9:50am On Aug 03
There's a threshold on the numbers of free store credit you can get. If the system notices you've been getting lots of credits, they'll stop giving you (till the threshold resets). This is to curb unnecessary abuse of the service

Ok i prefer the 57k store credit
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 10:15am On Aug 22
As it should be. Imo, introducing real cash benefit is actually a bad move. Imagine referring people but not using the starlink service, instead you're accumulating cash referrals.

At least with store credits, you can only use it for starlink subscription or to buy starlink hardwares (which still ties you to the starlink service). Store credits are not even transferable as it's tied to just one account.

Cash referrals would be abused a lot. With cash referrals, I can just stow my hardware and be collecting referral money (without using STARLINK)

My Starlink Gen 2 router got fried 4days ago. I got it opened being an electronics engineer and discovered some component were badly burnt from the power board. I have tried severally to see if I could get some of the components in an electronics market close to me but they ain’t available. I’m here to plead with anyone who has a bad Gen 2 router I can use for parts to repair mine. I don’t qualify for a replacement again… Pls help a brother
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 5:32am On Aug 27
Why are you not qualified for replacement again?

I think there's a limit to equipment replacement,i think it's one time replacement and after that OYO.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Unfaized:
There seem to be a high rate of failure of the hardware though. You would expect a more durable hardware from an American company, I am not impressed.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Bossman(m): 12:43pm On Aug 27
That’s correct. Starlink offers a one-time free replacement for failed equipment.

The high rate of equipment failure is limited to Nigeria. And likely related to the power issues there. Equipment failures are rare here in the USA.

I have done replacement before now for free. I’m pretty sure I can fix this if I have the right component. Reason I need a faulty router or an abandoned one to use the components to fix mine. I can’t afford a new router now.

I have an unused Gen 2 router, but current location is Imo State.

If you're nearby or have someone who can pick it up on your behalf, you can send me an email.

I can prove it to you that you don't have the skills to do that.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 7:38am On Aug 29
Lol I don't know why you'd say this but people fix their routers in Nigeria, so far they have donor boards.

Starlink is not your average router. You need good understanding of RF to tinker with it.

When did Starlink start this one?

Seems like they want to pursue Nigerian customers.
The annoying thing is that their inbuilt Grok AI is refusing to connect me with a real human agent.
Who has experienced this issue?
My network connection currently is heavily throttled on some social media apps like WhatsApp and co, my opay app doesn't even open anymore with my network. Streaming and browsing works fine though.
How can I solve this issue?

My data consumption since February to August is 33TB, should that be the reason why they’re suspecting that I'm using it for business?

Your input is highly appreciated.
