NRS chairman is not a political position. He is a public servant.

If Orubebe was a minister then that's a political appointment or position. Cabinet members are politicians just like senators and reps.

Public officers are heads of national institutions whose sanctity must be protected.

Tomorrow, Tinubu will put CBN governor or INEC chairman in his campaign team.
LOL. "Nrs isn't political appointments" 😭

Dem say failure be like orphan. Nobody wan associate with failure. US have failed woefully in the Middle East Region so all men don begin answer their papa name. America is the security guarantor of the Gulf Countries. How did it end up for these countries hosting America military bases and depending on American military protection against Iran, their neighbor.?

Very accurate prediction.

Failed foreign policy decisions by Bibi:

1) The Israeli leadership led by Benjamin Netanyahu did a very very bad job isolating Israel from her Arab neighbors. They caused this isolation when Netanyahu ordered the bombing of Qatar targeting Hamas political/diplomatic mission in Qatar. This Hamas delegates came to Qatar on Qatari invitation to negotiate the end of the war in Gaza. Instead Israel bombed their hotel.

2) America is the security guarantor of these Gulf countries. When Israel attacked Qatar unprovoked the US refused to activate her air defense systems/radar to intercept Israeli military aircraft/missiles. Dem sidon dey look as Israel pounded Qatar. It means that some animals are more equal than others. If there were to be a clash between Israel & the Gulf Arabs, America will side with Israel.

3) Iranian missiles & Shaheed-136 drones rained Israeli & American military bases and completely disabled/destroyed 15 American military installations in the Middle East Region. If America cannot protect their soldiers & Israel from Iranian missiles, who goes Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Syria etc?

I predict that Iran will reject their invitation. Not when some of them are still housing US troops.

You are just disgracing yourself. Which of them is not a public servant? Ministers and NRS chairmen were all APPOINTED by the govt and the next govt can replace all of them

How are the state roads? Are they good. Abi all roads in Nigeria are federal
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:03pm On Aug 24
So, I have my different opinion about the unfortunate traffic situation on the Benin Expressway. While every Nigerian is blaming the government, I choose to blame the contractor.

That road is under construction. Yes (Benin Byepass, Benin-Sapele and Benin-Asaba have been awarded, and work had begun). If you look at the video that iamoyindamola posted about the sinking car, you'll see a heap of Stone dust there. Those roads are under construction

That was the road Obi talked about one time, and Umahi went to show that it's under construction.

Nigerian road contractors have this horrible habit of either not making temporary solutions to bad spots. As long as they haven't gotten there, they won't temporarily fix a bad spot until they get there.

Also, Nigerian Road contractors have this dirty habit of closing down lanes that are already completed for no reason; maybe till it is commissioned, rather than opening it for public use.

The rain, coupled with vehicles breaking down and falling at the bad spots was the cause of that disaster last week.

The governor is aware that not all the roads in the state are good and that's why he is not embarking on a new road like the FG.

Who is responsible for palliative measures on that road?

Who is responsible for timely awardance of contracts?

Who sees to proper project monitoring?

All these fall on the shoulders of the ministry of works, especially its hierarchy.

True

Maybe if people were asking these questions, instead of projecting that the road was totally abandoned, the answers would be clearer

There are contractors on that road. They need to open up the lanes that have been done. They need to either grade or level the bad spots that are there.

Don't bring in the governor. He is not the one that set aside an entire country budget for a new road while a terrible road like Benin-warri expressway still exist.

This has nothing to do with Monday but the FG.
