https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8U_8rEstAxc?si=BD_HU19obIEXqDJl Umahi Storms Troubled Benin–Agbor Road Today as Gridlock Leaves Travellers Stranded Benin–Agbor Road has descended into a major traffic nightmare, with travellers and motorists reportedly stranded for hours — and some even spending the night on the road. As the gridlock worsens, damaged and muddy sections of the highway, poor drainage and ongoing reconstruction are making movement increasingly difficult, sparking protests and growing public anger. Now, Minister of Works David Umahi is set to storm the Benin–Agbor–Asaba Road today for an inspection, amid mounting pressure on the Federal Government to address the worsening situation. What is behind the crisis? Why has the rehabilitation dragged on? And can Umahi’s intervention finally bring relief to stranded travellers? |

Coastal roads when many intra and inter states roads are in a terrible state is gross madness. Same thing Amaechi did with the Kano - Maradi rail Are our rulers mad or someone is ruling the country through them? |

Clueless tinubu and his clueless team are more focused on building audio and white elephant coastal roads without any economic values than fixing existing dilapidated roads to easy the suffering of Nigerians. Tueh. |

Ozuor Na now u wan tak action make I begin clap for u Use an open mind to listen to this man, and you will know that they don't give a damn about the Nigerians suffering. He didn't even acknowledge the fact that people have slept on that road for days, he didn't even try to use soft words to comfort those that have lost their business such as the fish seller. All that matters to them is how to praise President Bola Tinubu even in the face of total failure You see this government God will punish all of them one after the other |

A proactive move by Honorable David Umahi The root cause of the grid lock needs to be determined and addressed to avert future occurrence and same time ensure the project is delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. Umahi has always proven to be closer to the grassroots and he just reaffirmed it again. |

It's high time it's addressed urgently. With the video I saw recently of it, it ought to have been addressed before it got to this state, but it's better late than never |

Didijiji:Before awarding the Kano-Maradi rail, Amaechi had completed the standard gauge Abuja-Kaduna rail inherited from Jonathan, awarded and completed the Lagos-Ibadan Rail, awarded and completed the Warri-Itakpe railway, and awarded the Kaduna-Kano railway. Amaechi was minister of transport and not minister of works but he is an achiever! Tinubu had only one job, connect Ibadan to Abuja and connect Itakpe in Kogi to Abuja and the whole country would have been practically linked by rail from the North to the South to the West. He chose to spend trillions on a 700km Coastal road that has long been commissioned at 47km and renamed after himself. |

HacheNoire:Proactive, you say? This is reactive not proactive. A problem that has persisted since the administration came into power and the minister is responding today? They are still looking for the root cause of the problem after all these years.

Didijiji:They know what they are doing. It is only mega contract like that of the coastal road that can generate the type of fraud money they are looking to steal. Repairs and rehabilitation of road kick back is beneath them. It is not enough to just be greedy these days. It is how much greed you can fathom. |

Streetinvestor2:You can say that again bcoz the coastal highway did not pass through your community. Coastal highway is for Niger Delta people and communities and they deserve it. Isn't it better than Ameachi that built railway to another country. |
