So, I have my different opinion about the unfortunate traffic situation on the Benin Expressway. While every Nigerian is blaming the government, I choose to blame the contractor.

That road is under construction. Yes (Benin Byepass, Benin-Sapele and Benin-Asaba have been awarded, and work had begun). If you look at the video that iamoyindamola posted about the sinking car, you'll see a heap of Stone dust there. Those roads are under construction

That was the road Obi talked about one time, and Umahi went to show that it's under construction.

Nigerian road contractors have this horrible habit of either not making temporary solutions to bad spots. As long as they haven't gotten there, they won't temporarily fix a bad spot until they get there.

Also, Nigerian Road contractors have this dirty habit of closing down lanes that are already completed for no reason; maybe till it is commissioned, rather than opening it for public use.

The rain, coupled with vehicles breaking down and falling at the bad spots was the cause of that disaster last week.

For whatever reason most if not all road contractors do not care about commuter safety or convenience and have little to no plans for traffic management and driver safety

During my it in 1998/1999 a company was doing road modification at around five star. They had unmarked giant concrete blocks /dividers all across the road. Every Monday there would be the carcass of a car that ran into a divider

In festac they are slowly fixing some bad roads and it is the same thing. No one bothers to put any proper warning sign or demarcation or to properly close the road being fixed. You literally drive right up to it. Add to a snail pace where a road that can be done in three weeks is stretched out to six months and it is extended pain to the point you are almost wishing they had left the road as is.

The Chairman of the NRS is an appointee of this administration so he can definitely choose to campaign or parrot this administration propaganda, and you can't even use the "saner clime" angle because it happens there too.

These things are very wrong..This is not about anyone's political influence, it's about the sanctity of offices..

If the director of NRS is going to serve in any campaign position, then he must serve every political party because his office isn't just in-charge of revenue collected from APC members.. Unless you're now saying that it's only businesses controlled by APC that pays revenue..

They've also added the director of NIMC as the head of APC data management committee..It makes zero sense because he's also not in-charge of the data of APC members only..

I don't see how directors of NRS and NIMC should be openly involved in politics like this..This was the excuse made for Emefiele last election circle and look how it turned out..

yesterday I was speaking with one of my close pals in the UK
He said those UK women can rope someone in for a rape allegation over any slightest of reasons and funny thing is police always have soft spot for them when it comes to rape.

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and all relevant security and intelligence agencies to launch a coordinated rescue operation immediately for the victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.

“Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free.

I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who were killed in this barbaric assault and pray that Almighty God grant them eternal rest, and grant their loved ones the fortitude to bear this painful loss.

You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you," he said.

The President directed the Service Chiefs to give him regular briefings on the progress of the rescue operation until all those abducted are accounted for.

"Terror will not cow Nigeria. We will defend our people, protect our communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life.

My prayers are with the people of Niger State at this difficult time. The Federal Government stands firmly with the State Government and will provide all necessary support to aid recovery, relief, and security reinforcement." It concludes.

So where in my post did I side with the so called ladies?

For all we know there's an allegation against poco Lee that he spiked a lady's drink before sexually assaulting her. The law enforcement have deemed it fit to not only arrest him but have him remanded for weeks till his trial comes up in September.

UK is not Nigeria, he will definitely have his day in court where he will need to defend whatever case the prosecution opens against him on court.

My own concern from onset is why do guys like Poco Lee who are kinda comfortable and have willing girls around them almost always find themselves in this kinda mess? Is it low self esteem or what exactly?
