Maybe you are too naive and inexperienced to be argued with.
Right, absolutely right. Fulanis are moving around with 500 cows and they are government employees.
Do you even need to go to school to know how ridiculous this is?

'Learned' men and women learning from an 'unlearned man'.What a contradiction.
Festus keyamo is learned, Wike is learned, Bwala is learned look at how they resson & talk in public

it might interest you to know today one of the problems of Nigeria are " The Elite"

Tje bankers are teaching politicians are to hide monry

Tye lawyers are teaching Politicians are to escape the law

The media are taken sides and being used to release propaganda to the public

Unions are learned, they are supposed to look out & protect people interest but instead they have become toothless bull dog cos of money from politicians

It is the elites that went to the national tv and lied refinery is working, Tinubu reform is workimg

Only in Nigeria. You can can argue with or without evidence that some herdsmen are working for some government officials. But for the government?
That is simply ridiculous.
The officials make up the government

It's been like that for ages in Nigeria. For example, over 70% of the food items you buy from the market is produced by the "unlearned" and also sold by the "unlearned" to the learned.

The people is the government. Saying herdsmen are working for the government is patently false. The owners of these cows may not even be in government at all.

Straight up. The dishing of amnesty to criminal and atrocious elements by even the govt is the fuel that have kept these monster motivated to continue to violate the sovereignty of this nation.
It all started with the Amnesty program for Niger Delta militants, who were rewarded for blowing pipelines, oil installations, kidnapping foreign oil workers, later moved to kidnapping Nigerians themselves for ransom, and attacking and killing nigerian security personnel.

What he meant was that the cows are owned by government officials or their cronies. The Fulani herdsmen are therefore protected by the government. Thats why he used Wike as an example.

What qualifications this guy have to speak at the NBA Annual General Conference?

Just curious
He was first on ground when serious attacks took place in Benue and Plateau states. He interacted with the victims and investigated the attacks, even when the police and SSS refused to investigate. Furthermore, Fulani herdsmen have reached out to him to air their grievances.
NBA felt he will have a unique perspective on the insecurity caused by Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria.

Well I suppose the saying is true: ‘When learned persona become fo🤡ls in a society because the decadence serves them, then those considered as fo🤡ls become the wise who shape change. I wish VDM can contest elections for the office of president..

VDM's statement are his thoughts at best. Most of things he said lack factual backings. I don't see any sense in his submissions. Careless talker.
That you can't prove what you know doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

You asked what qualified him to speak at the NBA Annual conference, I gave you valid reasons why NDA deemed him fit to speak on the topic of "Known Gunmen" during a plenary session, and you went into insult mode. That's not evidence of a smart kid.

VDM addressing lawyers now? Has Satan totally given up on Nigeria? Who did we offend?

@ppogba down the thread just reminded me that the NBA had also invited Portable to perform in a previous conference.

What are they smoking in our law schools now?

Yes, the political push to have Islamic Republic of Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. That's what sustains insecurity in Nigeria.
Let Nigeria have a president like Peter Obi who will make insecurity disappear in Nigeria.

Bruu until events unfold and these things start to make sense to you. For now, id say wallow in ignorance.

At least in Niger state, there are rumors of that old head of state with white beards, running this cattle rustling business. Using it to move and lauder stolen funds.. Those old hags calling them selves elder statesmen, you cannot trust them can you?

He wasn't invited to lecture lawyers but to talk about insecurity as someone who has been directly involved with the issues of insecurity in the country.
VDM was in Borno bombing sites severally and had first hand interactions with the victims of those bombings, was any of the lawyers there ? The answer is NO. He was also in Lokoja during the flood disaster and donated money and other relieve materials to the victims, we're you or any of the lawyers there ? When the issue of illegal mining in Niger state forest happened he was the only one bold enough to visit the remote community and went into the forest to see the mining sites, was any of the lawyers there ?
When Onitsha main market was closed the young man went there to make sure it was reopened, no lawyer talked about it till the market was reopened. When our girls were trafficked to Ivory Coast he was the only that went to the West African country to save the girl just as he was the only one that went to Egypt to save Nigerians locked up in prison.

Can you tell us what any of the so called learned lawyers has done for this country in that period ?
