Tinubu Punishing Corrupt People With Appointments - KAA by jmoore(op): 3:14pm On Aug 25
Let me show you something shocking happening in this government and why corruption has become a culture amongst the so-called members of the government.

The woman President Tinubu appointed as director of women mobilisation in the APC Presidential Campaign Council is called Betta Edu - a minister that was suspended by the same Tinubu almost 3 years ago.

Betta Edu, as Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, was accused of directing that N585 million meant for vulnerable people in Akwa-Ibom, Cross-River, Lagos, and Ogun states be paid into a private UBA account belonging to a ministry official, Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola, rather than through normal government channels.

She was suspended in early 2024 over allegedly diverting the funds to a personal bank account , and the EFCC’s subsequent investigation reportedly widened dramatically.

Pay attention here:

By April 2024 the agency was tracing over 50 bank accounts, with roughly N600 million average in each, suggesting the scale went well beyond the original N585m figure (some reports cite a N44 billion figure tied to the broader ministry scandal). She was briefly detained and questioned by the EFCC before being released on bail, and her passport was seized at the time.

Nothing again was said about it and everyone forgot. A minister that was meant to use her ministry to fight poverty, ended up impoverishing the people by looting the public funds through over 50 private bank accounts.

But the only punishment she received by a president who wants to convince Nigerians that he’s fighting corruption, is an appointment to lead his reelection campaign.

But let me take your mind farther a bit and this was one of the questions I wanted to ask Daniel Bwala in an interview that will be published today on KaaTruths YouTube channel before he turned the interview to a ring of insults and bullying.

The current government seems to have an irresistible passion for rewarding criminals. Dozens of the appointed and elected officials are people with criminal records and one of them is Abubakar Bagudu who was appointed Minister of Budget and Economic Planning on August 21, 2023.

A US federal court documents named him directly as a co-conspirator who helped launder proceeds of General Abacha’s theft of Nigerian public funds, and he personally agreed to return over $160 million to avoid criminal trial in Jersey in 2003. He indeed returned that amount according to records. This man was rewarded with a ministerial position to control Nigeria’s entire national budget.

Imagine appointing a cat known for killing and eating rats to become the manager of a rat farm.

Now, do you understand why a budget for FIFA World Cup qualifiers was smuggled into the budget almost a year after Nigeria was eliminated?

Do you now understand why three budgets are running concurrently and do you remember the budget for the phantom agency?

There are just so much open corruption going on in this government that should worry every Nigerian, but only a very few of us seems to be aware and awake to reality.

It's a form of control. Once he has dirt on you, then he can easily get you to do his bidding. That's why he hates working with anyone who is their own man and assertive.

Oh please! It's called Exposure Therapy.

Since they're corrupt, many of them having been involved in allegations of fraud and embezzlement, it helps to put them in position where they can loot more with impunity, that way they are exposed to more opportunities to loot and toot.

It's the same principle of "rehabilitating" and reintegrating tehrohrists into the society and melitary, so they have opportunity to leak operations to their comrades, and do more tehrorhizing.

Timbo is Working. Hey-PeeCee is taking us from top to bottom.

Nothing new. Everyone associated with someone criminal must be criminal, vile or got a dirty pass by default. An apple does not always fall far from its tree.

This woman was one of the teamship, so she speaks on behalf of the team.

Unfortunately, one of the people in his teamship who will speak for him is now in prison. Maybe if he agrees to a plea bargain to stop doing Cho Cho Cho against his oga and come to the team's side, only will he regain freedom undecided

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "teamship" statement refers to a highly publicized doctrine he declared during his December 2022 speech at the Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) in London. When asked direct questions regarding his plans for Nigeria's future, Tinubu declined to answer them himself. Instead, he introduced his philosophy of an "unbreakable team" which he termed teamship and assigned the questions to members of his delegation to answer on his behalf.

The People He Assigned to Answer Questions (Foolish Nigerians, are all these people answering the questions now?)

When Tinubu delegated the questions to demonstrate his "teamship" approach, he called upon the following individuals from his team:

1. Dele Alake (Assigned to answer questions on media, branding, and foreign policy)
2. Nasir El-Rufai (Former Governor of Kaduna State; assigned to answer questions on national security)
3. Ben Ayade (Former Governor of Cross River State)
4.Wale Edun (Assigned to answer questions concerning the economy and poverty alleviation)
5. Femi Gbajabiamila (Then Speaker of the House of Representatives, assigned to answer questions regarding defense pacts)
6. Dr. Betta Edu (Then APC National Women Leader, assigned to speak on healthcare and social issues)

The strategy sparked debate across Nigeria. Supporters defended the move as a brilliant showcase of collaborative governance and mentorship, arguing it proved Tinubu would build a competent, decentralized cabinet. Conversely, political opponents and critics heavily ridiculed the "teamship" defense, arguing it was a tactic to shield the candidate from direct scrutiny and avoid debating crucial national issues.

Rinse and repeat. If he didn't speak to you before he got there, he owes you no middle finger to give you now. The oracle does not speak to the masses, his disciples speak on his behalf. Una mumu never reach.

You have spoken well and you have spoken the truth about the master strategist of a-looter propaganda politics.

Tinubu has destroyed whatever semblance of credibility that remained in our institutions.

chisomkachy:
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.

Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.

The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.

The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.

Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.

The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.

But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.

During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).

The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.

Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.

Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:

“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.

“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”

Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.

In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.

The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.

Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.

“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”

He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.

“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”

Betta Edu has not been established to be corrupt. Please, provide proof.
As far as public knowledge is concerned, she was suspended, not convicted of any corruption or theft.
Footballers and other sportsmen get suspended for different reasons, that's not necessarily corruption.
Students get suspended, that's not necessarily corruption.

So why was she sacked? She should be recalled to assume her position with immediate effect. Afterall, Gbajabiamila still retains his position. Is it because he is a Yorubaman?
