The PBAT government removed the fuel subsidy, claiming it was riddled with corruption and that the masses were not benefiting from it. However, since the removal, the 36 governors have become the biggest beneficiaries with heavy monthly handouts from the FAAC. Meanwhile, the masses are now paying dearly for it. Before the subsidy was removed, the masses were at least benefiting a little. Now, we are the ones paying the price. EVERY country on the earth gives subsidy in one form or another. In Nigeria, the government is saying NO to subsidies, What is government for?

Tinubu is using Peter Obi to cut Atiku's votes. Peter Obi knows he has no chance . Yet he insist on contesting.

2023 is different. The North made Tinubu President by casting our votes for him. I personally used my funds to campaign for him that year. I never knew that, the man had nothing to offer than his incompetent and cluelessness

I don't know how you can be a journalist and continue to try and insert yourself into politician's tug of war. Focus on the issues. Leave the name-calling as much as possible.

Interesting that many are so swelled by the subsidy reintroduction but ignore the floating forex rate. Can we put some of this energy into building or expanding indigenous manufacturing industries and institutions too?

At this point, Atiku is the only real opposition. Any other candidate is just in the race for ego and to serve as a spoiler. Obi should step aside and either back Tinubu or Atiku. He lost significant ground with his position on subsidy.

All the money they claim they have saved so far, can you feel it? Rather enriching those in government.

Our economy is "petro-economy" . Anything that affects the price of fuel, affects almost everything in Nigeria.

Besides, the world over has one thing or two they subsidise for their citizens. Saudi Arabia has free medicals, free education etc, what do we have here for us, nothing. The few ones they claim they are subsidizing, they are taking them away
