David Hundeyin says: @David Hundeyin : If anyone still doubts that "Bring Back Our (allegedly 200) Girls" was a regime change stunt and anyone who took part in it was nothing more than a useful idiot, refer to the complete non-reaction to a mass abduction of 600 people.Source

For the sake of those genuinely curious to know how it was a Regime change stunt, the kidnap of those girls occurred during Jonathan's administration. At that time, Boko haram had intensified their attacks, using IEDs and suicide bombing tactics to cause terror. The US Government over amplified the campaign to ''bring back those girls'' to make Jonathan look weak and In-effective as a leader. The real reason they did this is because: 1. Like his predecessor, Jonathan refused to allow the U.S. build a military base here in Nigeria. 2. Jonathan and his officials accused the U.S. government of indirectly helping the terrorists by refusing to sell weapons to Nigeria and blocking its counter-terrorism efforts (Combat Intelligence) 3. Jonathan cancelled the training program the U.S. had with the Nigerian Military, and hired a private mercenary group that actually did their job and beat the sheeet out of boko haram, reclaiming lost territory. ![]() It would interest you to know that when Jonathan lost to Buhari, The U.S. Government ordered Buhari to terminate the contract Nigeria had with those private mercenaries that dealt with boko haram. Boko haram later resumed their attacks and reclaimed lands. Dont also forget that last year, a U.S. congressman alleged that a portion of USAID’s $697 million budget was funneled to extremist groups like ISIS, al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram

I think he might make more sense arguing that the kidnapping itself that brought on the "bring back" is what might have been the politically motivated "regime change stunt", because his current argument is like blaming the owner for the theft of their property. Following that argument would need to be that the US Government kidnapped the girls in the first place, of course, which might take some selling on his part. P.s. I approve of Jonathan not letting US have a base in Nigeria. |

And who was spearheading that mass psychological operation if not one ever dirty looking Aisha Yesefu. She is now pushing for a pro Zionist candidate in the form of the demented Giringori.. Going forward, anything that Aisha supports , pls avoid like a plague. But David , is it now you know that BBOG was a CIA,ochrstrated psychological operation similar to KONY 2012 ? When I was shouting it here that Aisha was working for the CIA with her BBOG all of Una here called me a conspiracy nutcase. Good morning David |

Of course! All the actors therein have found themselves in government wherein the insecurity have worsened 10 more but today they are giving excuses. Imagine the principal of GSS Chibok was given commissioner ship by the Shetima's govt. They will all be brought into accountability some day. |

Very obvious.. Obama unravelled Africa. Soulless simpleton.. Dude used his black heritage to hoodwink a whole continent, removing pro people regimes and installing pro west kleptomanaics.. I remember how the likes of Obasanjo kicked against the presence of AFRICOM in the continent. Then Obama walzed in and basically arm-twisted Jonathan and co into allowing for the physical presence of AFRICOM in the continent. . Look at Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and Libya to see how wonderfully well that worked out.. |

Racoon:Any radical change of the Nigerian situation must include the total dismantling of the Nigerian media establishment as it is today. They serve no positive purpose as at today! The so called Guild of Editors is nothing but a great monument to corruption. The way they have been hiding negative news like this in order to help the evil characters in APC to retain power, is nonplussing. It is a vintage example of the dereliction of duty by the fourth estate of democracy . Brown envelopes are speaking in tongues in their offices... |

[quote author=Parachoko post=140478981]Jonathan messed up abeg There was even a time the Government was doubting the Girls were truly kidnapped [/quote Jonathan didn't mess up, he knew all that happened, he understands the dynamics of the outcome of his decisions and he choose the path that wont lead to blud letting of his citizen!!. Accepting that defeat was a heroic call because our lives mattered to him more. We can't speak of same for those in power now, everyone and every part of the system have been sold out just to protect their selves.. these ones are ready to throw it's citizen under the bus just to get immunity from super poers |

| Re: "Bring Back Our Girls" Was A Regime Change Stunt - David Hundeyin by nairalanda1(m): 2:05pm On Aug 29 |
Hundeyin is just talking garbage. Anyone who says that bring back our girls was regime stunt is basically excusing the failures of the GEJ regime to do its job in guaranteeing security. Infact the Chibiok girls thing was not the worst thing to happen in schools in the North East. Boko Haram sent in two units to massacare over 60 schoolboys in two boarding schools, one unisex, one both boys and girls. And then there was the addendum of the mass kidnappings of girls in villages and small towns at the same time. The only people promoting the Chibok girls was used to bring down Jonathan are GEJ supporters who are excusing the failures of their man to handle the security of this country. GEJ messed up in the North East, and that was one of the many reasons why he was voted out. And before anyone starts, APC came in and made the situation worse. Not only has kidnapping gotten even worse under APC, under tinubu, it has even gotten to several times a year. 10 youth corpers have been kidnapped today, and am sure tinubu fans will soon say that donald trump ordered the kidnapping from his house. People should stop blaming America for all our failures in security. And GEJ Messed up. If you like abuse me, GEJ MESSED UP, just as TINUNBU IS MESSING UP EVEN MORE WORSE. The buck stops at the president's table. You will see I blame GEJ for chibok and not for the kidnapping in Oyo state earlier this year or the one in Niger state. GEJ messed up, and America had nothing to do with it. It is time we Africans and Nigerians blamed ourselves for our messes. Blaming tinubu now means he has an opportiniy to fix things...and that does not end with rescue operation. It ends with preventing the mess in the first place, and it starts by changing the economic basis of our nation from oil dependency and sharing oil money to industries and productivity. GEJ MESSED UP ON CHIBOK. IT WAS HIS FAULT. As well as the fault too of one Kashim shettima, now the VP, but mostly GEJ'S fault. Period. Oya come and abuse me and call me names. I that is voting tinubu out next year because he has failed on security. |

FSBoperator:What is "free" about a press institution of a country that has weird names like James Ibori, Orji Kalu, Bola Tinubu and Bayo Onanuga as publishers ![]() You arrange a coterie of highly kwarupt mafiosos and surrender the leading press houses to them, and you turn around to wave the banner of "free press" in order to shield them from attacks as they skew public opinion towards nefarious ends ![]() What has come over you?? You seem to imagine that all of us are as crooked minded as you... |

budaatum:It wasn't even about that. Obama was focused on his LGBTQ crap in Africa, and Nigeria was one of those countries that rightly refused it. So the Obama administration also came up with excuses not to sell arms to us. Anyone playing the victim here is ignorant. Prior to that, Jonathan also downplayed the abduction of the girls until the issue gained momentum. No country owes you anything, it is about interests. We are just pretending that the U.S. is our ally. It is a poor understanding of international politics, relations and foreign policy that would make someone characterise those events as regime change stunt. That is not how the U.S. does regime change. Jonathan's adminstration collapsed because of his monumental failures. There was also a strong and organised opposition ready to take power from him. Just because we aren't seeing that level of energy now doesn't mean what happened in the past was a regime change stunt. |
