What do you mean Petroleum engineering is useless??
I did not write that is a useless profession. Simply put ,it is no longer one of the highest paying jobs.

Professors receive 600k highest. How can you say its lucrative?
NewHe:
Education should be number one! The Academics employ more professionals than any and pays handsomely if you have minimal Masters Degree

If you can teach me dis, i will be very grateful.

I want to learn it.
EXPRESSSMAN:
Well let me help you as I'm into digital marketing. You can learn it within 4 months. practical teaching not online teaching or videos. Then you can sell anything whether your own product or others own. You don't need anyone to employ you or to work for anyone. just the ability to spot a physical or digital product that will sell them you plug in.

How can one make money from writing?

Am a natural writer and would like to dive into writing for profit.
Ttalk:
I like your writing skills, you will make more buck writing than whatever program you are developing. Now that entrepreneurship is now a course in the university, I wonder why the OP ignored that vital profession, maybe he didn't see it as a profession but as a hustle.

Agriculture is another field that is printing money if you develop your skill in a particular area within the agricultural field.

Lastly politics as a profession and not a course of study is a high paying job in Nigeria, it is very rare for a politician to lose, you lost an election but your opposition still gives you contract, your party mark you for future position and you still get some dough for participating in an election and if you are smart like Obi, you create a GoFundMe and cash out from your diaspora admire.

Where are they employed?

Just asking though.
I am a HR executive and we treat candidates with a degree in English as employable candidates. We hire them in all roles except ones with specific technical skills. Every CV with a recent English degree gets invitation for interviews most of the time. You can ask other HR personnel close to you.

Professor of what at what institution? Are you saying CU/RUN don't pay up to a million for their senior Professors?

Am trying to understand your point.

But I am trying to get certifications from google digital garage, on fundamentals of digital marketing, some certifications from hubspot, and Meta too, at least those ones are free! And they will really take time
Certification is not really necessary in digital marketing. it is a practical thing. it is about what you can do. As I said earlier, you are not going to look for employment anywhere. Your skill will keep you busy and motivated all the time. So the certification is just for certification. Does a trained mechanic need certification to operate?
But as I before practical training is what will give you an edge not videos.

I agree with tech since I am a benefactor myself but Law isn't paying like that. For tech, only learning JavaScript come use one other language join am can be fetching you some gigs (also AI has made debugging, UI and UX easy).. It doesn't mean if you don't know your way you no go suffer pass Job oo.

Most mechanics earn comfortably than lawyers. I used to like law until I saw a lawyer on suit and palm sandals carrying a bag of rice he bought and crossing the road. He priced the bike man and it looked like it was too expensive and my man legged it to his house of about 15mins in that hot sun!

Let's pretend like it's not the fattest pockets that win cases in Nigeria and those fat pockets aren't looking for fresh graduates mostly..they cann have SANs on speed dial or those with popular chambers or recognition. Every other to them is "charge and bail."

Go to the court. You will understand better when you see some lawyers dey hustle lonely clients there.

The country made a profession I so much used to admire lack the respect it used to have. Even the Nigerian law doesn't respect her lawyers.

To put into perspective, before an average Nigerian lawyer can buy a land or a car in Nigeria, you suppose know say en don go defend wetin fit bounce back anytime sooner.

For doctors and pharmacists, I respect them. But only doctors who have hospitals are cashing out. Also, pharmacists who have the capital to setup their pharmacy will excel or its another one very bad angle of suffering and smiling...because you need a certain amount of capital to not look like those 'chemist' shops.

Those employed are like the regular civil servants.. and dem also dey go outside work.

For petroleum engineering, you can still read it and be earning ₦25k as a fuel attendant. The job is saturated with big men's children and unborn children names.

For banking, you can work as an accountant without reading accounting or banking and fin. in Nigeria. The biggest paid employees didn't use their CV. They used a phone call.

For Economics, pray make hunger no kill you, you hear?

For Microbiology, na una I pity pass.

This is the rot in Nigeria.
Disclaimer: I am not referring to nepos. I am referring to the un-nepos.
cheesy cheesy 😂😂😂 You don't even need a certificate to earn well in Nigeria, just be the president of Nigeria or a politician or know someone that knows someone that knows someone, you will be made for life

No high paying course in Nigeria.the country has been condemned.

The only high paying course I know are digital courses, especially that thing called trading. I saw a post about a young crypto trader that makes averagely $2,400 weekly from futures trading.

Faceless content creation is also good(but the tools are just too expensive).

That's typical Nigerian for you-we are talking about professions now you're diverting to Class or strata!
Come to think of it,that sector (education) remains the largest employer of any other professions

No, not cyber cafe. Digital marketers are the ones. I will search out. If I get a good one I will let you know. But do you have a laptop?
A laptop will make the learning process easier.

Do you usually see delivery okadas within your area? They are the ones that aid digital market to deliver physical products.
From my house in Lagos here . I sell to people in Delta and elsewhere. Those riders will pick up the product and deliver them for me.
You can go to YouTube and search how to be a digital marketer. If you see Nigerian names, then you can listen to them as see what they teach. You can also go to selar.com, you will a lot of articles to read about digital marketing. You can spot those that reside in Delta state. I know some people operate from Asaba.
