fergie001:
President Bola Tinubu has been projected to win the 2027 presidential election, with a political forecast putting him ahead of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party candidate Peter Obi.

The projection by the Political Intelligence Group (PIG) of Politico.ng gives Tinubu 20 states, Atiku nine states and Obi eight states, based on the political circumstances prevailing at the moment.

The group said Tinubu’s perceived achievements in stabilising the economy and his efforts to reposition the country could give him an advantage over his major challengers.

The same person who failed in his 2014 attempt to be Anambra godfather to his Fidelity Bank protege, who subsequently kicked him out of their regional party, APGA?

If Atiku did not rescue him from political wilderness five years after, where would he be now?

newsbook:
Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has re-echoed his allegation that his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him for sponsoring his election in 2013.

Obiano and his predecessor, Obi have had a frosty relationship shortly after his swearing in.

Obi has however denied that he demanded for the sum of N7.5billion from Obiano, saying that his problem with him was his (Obiano’s) underperformance.

Obi said if he needed the said sum, he would have simply taken it from the N75billion he left for the Obiano administration at the end of his tenure.

But Governor Obiano while speaking on Wednesday evening at Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha where he inaugurated his reelection campaigns in Onitsha North Council Area, said the clarification became necessary because of the recent accusations against him by the former Governor.

He stated that his predecessor had demanded the sum of N7.5billion from him as funds spent in prosecuting the election on his behalf, but that he refused to pay the money because it was not true.

Obiano said he refused to pay because he strongly believed that public funds should be used for public good, and not to settle godfathers.

These, he said, was the reason they fell apart.

The governor said that another reason he refused to pay the money was because he was aware that enough money was raised for his campaign by his friends and associates, all of which were never accounted for by the former governor.

On the actual sum the former Governor claimed he left behind, Governor Obiano made it clear that he inherited liability of about N127 billion debt from him in contracts awarded and other responsibilities, which he has been religiously undertaking in the spirit of continuity.

He said Obi flagged off several roads even on the day he was leaving office and saddled him with the burden of paying for it, but he assured the people that he has his eyes on the ball and will not allow anything to distract him from fulfilling his promises.

The Chairman of the Governor’s Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh said APGA as the political spirit of Ndigbo, has in the past three and half years, availed Anambra good governance at its best, reminding the people that the upcoming guber election was not about Willie Obiano but about ensuring that the state remained free from political godfatherism.

A former Central Bank Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo in his speech said that at this time, the State needs a tested hand like Governor Obiano who has the experience and expertise to effectively steer her affairs.

just leave them to their foolhardy

Even when their fire was at the peak in 2023 they didn't win 20 states, so na now when the fire don die down they wan win 25 states

Oya now
they won almost all the states in Nigeria but the inec decided to rig the election through manual result sheets. We all saw what wike did in River state. Now that the manual result sheet is the last option with a very cogent reason for using it, let's see how it goes.

Promising Atiku south east votes is a joke taken too far.

Not even politicians who have the ability to deliver their polling units should say that.

It is same if anyone suggests that Tinubu will defeat Obi in south east.

They have mostly made it look like he is not the worst to have governed Anambra state whereas, by far, he is.

Obi remain the choice of the majority in SE.

The reason some people become so bitter after an election is because they don’t tell themselves truth going to the election.

Atiku will win some states in the north west and north east, Tinubu will win some (may be fewer than Atiku).

However, the margins will be minimal.

In north central, Tinubu will win more states than Atiku.

Obi may not win any.

The 2023 religious war slogan is no more potent.

For instance, he won 7 LGAs in southern kaduna but today, Tinubu will win majority if not all of those LGAs. They have two federal universities now and good federal government appointments. They see that they are no longer an outcast in the country.

They don’t have a governor whose son would tweet that their existence does not matter.

Now in the south, south east will vote for Obi but he won’t get as much as +80% that he got in 2023 when IhPOB terrorists did not allow APC members to vote.

Nonetheless, he will still win a lot of votes there while APC will come a very distant second.

The ruling party may not even get the 25% threshold in more than one or two of the five south east states. And that is if party leaders in the region truly work for the president.

If they don’t, the president may not get 25% in any of the SE states.

As an APC member, you may not like this but it’s the truth.

That Tinubu is constructing abandoned roads in the zone won’t make many voters change their mind.

Go ask Buhari who built the second Niger Bridge among some other infrastructures. The people even denied that he was constructing it (the second Niger Bridge).

However, as poor as APC would perform in the region, ADC would be worse.

I do not see Atiku getting 10% in any of the states in south east.

It is simply impossible.

He did not get it even when he had the PDP structure going to the 2023 elections.

South south will be a fight between APC and NDC and not even in Rivers state where Atiku’s running mate hails from that ADC will secure 25%

If the party gets 15% in the state then Amaechi has really done a lot.

South west will not be good for the opposition especially the ADC.

While NDC will get a good number of votes in Lagos state, Obi will not come close to winning the state this time.

The momentum has since escaped to the air.

No pastor is going to force his church members to take any oath as they did in 2023.

In all other SW states, it will be a devastating electoral loss.

ADC already know that when all votes in the six SW states are aggregated, Atiku will not got 5% of the total vote that will be cast.

Let me take Osun state as a specimen.

If Tinubu gets less than 700k votes in the state, then something is wrong whereas, Aregbesola and Dino will have to dance more for Atiku to have double of what the party got in the recent gubernatorial election (17k votes).

In Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Oyo states, ADC does not exist.

Anyone who therefore tells Atiku that he has the full backing of SE or that he stands any chance of winning the next presidential election is only deceiving the man.

By the time the results are out, they will say it was rigged.

That is their face saving consolatory slogan.
The man that saw the future. Very accurate prediction. In all, the tides still favours Tinubu, only if Atiku can step down to back Obi
