Twelve Challenges That Disappeared From Nigeria Under Tinubu ASUU Strike Non-payment of salaries Half salary (Hafusa) Fuel scarcity Crude oil theft Niger-Delta militancy Ogoni agitation Economic recession Dollar and FX scarcity Executive/Legislative face-off Budget padding Boko Haram attacks on Abuja Southern Kaduna impunity Police station attacks and closures in the SE Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu is making steady progress in all spheres, but the opposition and their paid propagandists in the media will Arise to project only negative things to give you the impression that it is all doom and gloom. But Nigeria just enjoyed a 4.43% GDP growth, which is double the global average. We also have the most profitable stock market on the planet, bar none, according to Bloomberg. The inflation rate, which was hovering at 30% on May 29, 2023, has halved, and our foreign reserves are now at an 18-year high of $54 billion. Nigeria's GDP has added $67 billion in just two years, and we have moved from being the top petrol importer in Africa in 2023 to the number one fuel exporter in West Africa in 2026. This has enabled us to overtake South Africa to become the second-largest manufacturing capacity in Africa, with Egypt only slightly ahead of us. As of the first half of 2026, Nigeria has experienced 23 consecutive quarters of uninterrupted GDP growth, and we are poised to have the strongest gains in the Naira since 2018, according to Bloomberg. As a result of these economic strides, the IMF listed Nigeria as the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025, a fact celebrated by Elon Musk, the world's richest man. Much still needs to be done, and it is being done. However, progress is evident, whether it is 1 million university undergraduates enjoying the NELFUND Student Loans or the expansion of the Nigerian Army from eight to twelve Divisions. The additional 4 divisions will increase Nigerian Army personnel by 28,000 troops. The President also plans for Nigeria to recruit between 2,000 and 5,000 forest guards per state, depending on the state's landmass. Nigeria will not overcome her challenges overnight. But under President Tinubu, we are overwhelming our issues over time. Bemigho Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

Arrant rubbish. Was there boko attacks on Abuja during buhari. Who said killings in Nigeria has stopped. It hasn't it's the reporting by news media that has stopped. Only Sahara reporters report such news. Govt claims gdp rising, foreign reserve rising, inflation falling. Yet price of cement, fuel, diesel, gas, food stuff is rising. When other nations report gap growth they mention no of jobs created. But in Nigeria gdp doesn't lead to job creation |

lexylaw09:Sincerely Reno didn't make my day with all these nonsense he posted. Tinubu administration has caused more harm than good to the economy of the country and should be voted out. Mr president seems to patronize our foreign reserve than the livelihood of the masses. Inasmuch as I agree with some of his policies, he shows his lack of understanding of how key policies will affect the lives of the people. An economy that an adverse balance of trade and heavily politically monetized will not survive such rigorous turture masqueraded as economic policies. |

Usmanovic95:Exactly!!! I don't understand how some people reason atimes. I don't know if people saying that owns a car? Lemme use and example you might understand. A man uses GLK Mercedes or any car from Point A to Point C and spend 5k fuel to get to his destination. Someone else entered a taxi from Point A to C and spend 1k to get to same destination as the other. Between both of them who is a fool? People are dropping their cars at home and entering taxis to go to their destinations these days. Buying fuel of 1350 per liter no be moi moi. How do someone expect queue when fuel is this much?
