Why Tinubu's Opposition Shouldn't Be Taken Seriously by Lithiumite(op): 7:27am On Sep 07
They want American standard education by paying 20k for university fees.......Govt provided NELFUND to caution the effects of the much needed increment in tuition fees to invest in the institutions, they said no,it should be almost free.

Lecturers and and doctors are earning tbeir pay as at when due with improved welfare thereby ending the strike problems we always had in the past, they said no,that it has no impact on tbe masses.

Pay for the fuel you consume, they say no!!

Pay market value for the dollar you use to send your kids abroad to school, vacation, health care, importing luxury items......they say no tinubu is making life unbearable.

FAAC allocations has increased exponentially so that sub nationals can meet their obligations to provide the much desired dividends of democracy, salaries and pensions were being paid, contractors were being paid, the sub nationals could now embark on bigger and better projects.......they said no,tinubu was bribing the govs that he should have shared the monies directly to every nigerian.

We want 24hrs electricity but we can't pay cost reflective tariff, its too high.

We want the best schools in the world and it should be as cheap as anything.

Pay taxes, tbey say no that we have crude oil money to go round all of us......govt is borrowing to shore up its finances and finance its budget deficit which in 2026 alone is about N21tr,they said tinubu was borrowing to much and he has out borrowed all previous govts combined which is actually false.

Join govt and fight terrorism and banditry, they say no they are our brothers.

Govt increased the salaries of our gallant men helping fight insecurity, they said no that its inappropriate, its a bribe from tinubu to the military.

Govt is stabilising the economy by growing gdp growth rate, forex reserves etc, thay say all these are unimportant that its rice and beans tbey want.

Foreign reserves now at the highest since obj, they said no that they are hungry and tinubu should share the reserves instead of keeping it,like the reserves is a piggy bank tinubu can deep his hand into as he pleases.

Rice a major nigerian staple flew to 6 digits in our markets, govt removed import Prohibition and prices plummeted by about 50% thus making it more affordable for the common man......they said tinubu was evil that he was killing local farmers, yet tbey were the loudest wailers when prices were skyrocketing.

Our FPI portfolio is growing very fast bringing much needed forex into the economy though highly fluid but its forex nevertheless, they said no that the FPI is useless, like the forex isn't useful for the country even at the short term.

They said tbey will move us from consumption to production and their chief protagonist doesn't even have a single factory and never did.....i don8know if there is a better description of an irony.

Another one said he will bring back subsidy, the ilogical ones amongst us are clapping and not asking the right questions how he intends to cover about 50m liters of pms we consume daily according to the NMDPRA, and how much the pump prices will actually be and its effect on govt finances.

They are pure jokes which shouldn't be taken seriously.

Imagine they left campaigning and focus on witch hunting when the election is less than 6 months away.

Unserious set of people

You are panicky

You wouldnt have posted this if they should not be taken seriously

Hunger in the land is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf

Until that is tackled, you guys can keep churning out fake statistics. The pain in the land resonates and can be felt. No one is feeling all the rubbish you people are dishing out, asking ordinary Nigerians to make sacrifices while criminal politicians are madly enriched

Is that a government to trust?

We have decided we need a change in 2027, deal with that

If he does well, we vote him in.. WE JUST WANT A GOOD COUNTRY

Instead of their supporters to dispute what the op wrote, they would rather resort to tantrums as they are just too empty upstairs

Hahahahaha

My and my family abi? Oya see am below 140m from 87m is a suicide mission

His economic policies have pushed an estimated 50 to 53 million more Nigerians falling into poverty, raising the total number of poor citizens to about 140 million. About 87 million Nigerians lived below the poverty line when he took office ooooo

Current Figures from the World Bank reports that the number has risen to roughly 140 million people. The national poverty rate woefully increased from 56 percent in 2023 to 63 percent, about 61 to 63 percent of the entire country now lives in extreme hardship

little mind i wont waste time challenging the aspersion " they want America standard education" .. because it only sane & logical to want " Better" ...i won't apologize we want " Better"
To the Govt Action, subsidy was removed denote school fee now charged are for standard education,
Now that school fees are cost reflective ...as quality of education improved, before Nelfund what were Nigerians university rating and post Nelfund what are. the ratings. juxtapose quality delivery

Lecturers and and doctors are earning tbeir pay as at when due with improved welfare thereby ending the strike problems we always had in the past, they said no,that it has no impact on tbe masses.
Maybe you dont follow the news, cos you would have heard some lecturers now sleep in office nd go home on weekend to cut cost.
Getting paid duely is laudable buh puchasing power of any salary Supersede the timeliness, what is the essence of a salary you collect that can not take you through the month like former salary that dont cum on tim e.
Yes Strike seems to be "Gone" .. buh the quality of education nd living standard of lecturer have not improved in any way those are the metrics to adjudicate Govt policy on that

Pay for the fuel you consume, they say no!!
was there a time fuel was free, that govt subsidize does it negate the fact that people pay something, have you ever seen a " discount" bigger" than balance. Now subsidy is gone, are we not still hearing money misappropriations and lootings

Look at your Family as a whole, what can you pin poinnt you are benefiting now in exchange of subsidy removal from govt. is the sacrifice worth it cite develooment in your area
Pay market value for the dollar you use to send your kids abroad to school, vacation, health care, importing luxury items......they say no tinubu is making life unbearable.
I see you are talking about, the floating of the naira that broke the carmel back, are you aware as at today the official rate and black market rate still has difference .. you may argue its small buh differences is not by big only 3- 2 , 100 -2 ...All na difference.

when govt dole out a policy, the focus is not just in the action But instead the Performance & impact on people, thats is the valid scale
The reality is from production to consumption people have downsize, i.e economic activities is on devrease thats not good for the True GDP..
When Govt release GDP is higher now than mount everest ....what did MAN counter back, you can't fool us with stats we know our reality

FAAC allocations has increased exponentially so that sub nationals can meet their obligations to provide the much desired dividends of democracy, salaries and pensions were being paid, contractors were being paid, the sub nationals could now embark on bigger and better projects.......they said no,tinubu was bribing the govs that he should have shared the monies directly to every nigerian.
i love this one, Every time we hear this govr flaunt more money to Governors as achievement and like i alway say the focus is Results nd impact on People
in the last 3yrs of these more money to governors, where are the development across states that justifies the fat allocation

Lastest report on the outgoing Governors show more state are now indebted in loans with Lagos owing over 50% of the total debts.
So eith More Money to Governors what have gained,, arguing state workers are now paid duly please. what is the population of state workers to other workers to adjudicate " Gain".
what is there to celebrate in a salary that can not last 200days cos of cost of living

We want 24hrs electricity but we can't pay cost reflective tariff, its too high.
please shut now, The Adelabu not implement a hike nd Band A are completely off subsidy .. are they enjoying 24hrs light.
if few on Band A cant stil have 24hrs lite then what is the possibility Nepa has caoacity to give All 24hrs lite, if we remove subsidy completly on All, can Do we have capacity to deliver 24hrs lite, and are discos ready to provide prepaid meter to ALL thats the converation. You are calling for Cost reflective what Service reflective using Band A as case study, mainland fm still rant everyday how much they spend on Diesel despite being on Band A

Pay taxes, tbey say no that we have crude oil money to go round all of us......govt is borrowing to shore up its finances and finance its budget deficit which in 2026 alone is about N21tr,they said tinubu was borrowing to much and he has out borrowed all previous govts combined which is actually false.
i don't know where you got your stats buh the verifiaable stats as shown Tinubu as borrowed more than any government the contrast is the same govt is aiming higiest Revenue cheesy
Tinubu govt as the lowest Budget performance and highiest budget deficit, then whats the essence of high revenue and more loans
Taiwo oyedele tried to explain subsidy savings and benefit, he struggled and hanged it on state Workers now get paid duely. really!!. subsidy the whole nation. enjoyed reduce to state workers now get paid thats achievement we All should celebrate.
under Obj, GEJ, Buhari that paid subsidy, state workers never got paid salary

some talks no deserve Reply, so i will act like i didnt see other things you wrote.

For a Govt that did well you wont be doing tjese hard work of trying to confuse people to see what you see

Economics is a social science, results & impact on people are ultimate decider, You cant replace people with Macro economic doing well and peoole are not doing well

check all the country with great economic and check poverty rate. you will see synergy.... results, impacts on point

To how much To match which productivity......dont you know what reckless increment in wages does to inflation.

You are obviously liliputian in matters of economics......if every nigerian had a million naira, prices of rice will go upto 500k a bag, pure water will go upto 200 naira a piece, your house rent which everyone is complaining is currently high will double, cement will go up to 30k a bag.......why? The simple answer is with more money in the hands of the people, people will want more of their needs and more of their wants and this will simply lead to demand outweighing supply.

Its simple economics.
