I really don’t understand what you mean by the highlighted statement.

Do you know the distance between my pickup point (Jaramall) and my destination is less than 18km? Are you also aware that the base fare was 8,600, and I personally increased it to 9,500 just to get a ride on time and head home quickly?

The only holdup on the road was the usual traffic around Anchor University, and from that point to my place is less than 5 minutes.

Are you also aware that BRT from there to my bus stop is 690 naira, while the public bus fare is 1,000? So paying 9,500 for the trip is now considered greed?

You all talk as if the driver was doing me a favour. Was I supposed to offer 20k or 30k for a trip whose base fare was 8,600? You guys and this sense of entitlement are 5&6.

Anyway, I eventually got a Bolt ride that same day for less than 8,900.
well if the trip is actually less than 18km then that fare is good, the driver is the greedy person here...... aba na

indrive is better with short trips 😂 I bet no one will accept 1500 for this trip on indrive
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by obacasmir: 12:50pm On Sep 07
Majority of riders on Indrive aren't anywhere near the riders we have on Uber

Indrive riders are mostly rude and problematic.

Now do we generalise indrive riders like you generalise indrive drivers?

Does that also make you a rude and problematic indrive rider?

Then,if you say Indrive drivers, don't the same drivers have the Uber app?

Why are they well behaved on Uber and badly behaved on Indrive ?

Read to understand, you will know what I am driving at.

Djdamian:
To each his own. I said what I said.

In over 7 years of using Uber, I have never experienced this. But I see it quite often with different riders using inDrive. In fact, from my experience whenever there’s an issue between a driver and a rider, 9 out of 10 times, it seems to be from inDrive.

I know for sure that Uber is quite strict when it comes to banning drivers from its platform, sometimes based on just one or two breaches of their agreement or cases of misconduct. We also have drivers who rely solely on the Uber app.

If i am correct, the requirements for registering and remaining on the Uber platform are much stricter compared to other e-hailing apps. That’s probably one of the reasons many drivers constantly complain about Uber.

My point is that Uber’s strict rules make it difficult for unserious or irresponsible drivers to remain on the platform. In a way, that process helps filter out the bad eggs and maintain a certain standard.

The same thing applies to riders. Personally, if I am going for an event, an important client meeting, or a serious business meeting, I honestly wouldn’t use any e-hailing app other than Uber. I am sure i am not the only one who feels that way. For me, Uber gives me a certain level of confidence and professionalism that I don’t always associate with the other platforms.

No wahala backbone

Shebi they have left, go and look for passenger yourself and keep all the money to yourself.

Felicity001:
Watin make them japa? No be because say drivers boycott their apps na him make riders no dey again? Take it or leave it, drivers are the backbone to every ehailing app, so in conclusion their own it all to drivers, call it an entitlement or whatever you wish, its okay.

No drivers
No app companies
Period!

Anytime I open my inDrive app to go online, I’m always discouraged with the prices there. It’s been like 2weeks ago I did any online trip. My offline rider has been sustaining me back to back since last month and I don’t have to rely on inDrive.

Currently on a 40k ride from Ojodu Berger to laspotech in Ikorodu, to and fro. Even though I’ve been waiting for more than 3hours now, still pays me pass doing online trips.

Just went through this thread. Things are happening but people have to survive.

No doubt, the fuel subsidy and FX exchange floating really made things worse for the business, car owner, driver and rider altogether.

What a country!

If you are a rookie, it's better you get those document.
Lastly, if you do your lasdri, it means you might have to get a hackney permit as well.

I don't know what makes u think calling me a driver will upset me. I am a proud driver and by the grace of God I own a fleet of cars. I have empowered n employed a lot of people.

Trying to shame a driver on a driver's platform is d biggest form of self destruct possible.

My brother I'm also a driver like urself so no need to change d narrative. Just don't look down on anyone esp if dey don't agree with ur narrative is all d point I'm trying to make.

Well we were advised to sheathe our swords grin

But since u have memory loss lemme remind u how we went from talking of Uber exit to actually u attacking my person.

U opened ur mouth and misinformed d house that Uber has literally no long term drivers of 10years and I disproved that by pasting a ticket of my 9years with Uber. Immediately without using ur brain u said I'm a part-time dirver grin

Pearl how did u come to that ultimate conclusion without engaging me? Did u ask me firsty to send my trip number? Did u know me before? But cause I busted ur little ideology I must be part-time.

Then someone who saw ur small mindedness dropped his ticket that shows his been driving more on Uber like I was explaining to u.

Oga pearl that's how we got here since u asked. So next time if something goes beyond ur head allow it.. grin na only one head u get even if na good head iz just one. Let it go over ur head and don't chase it dats what makes us men.

Let's learn to accommodate opinions and views from everyone here. I love that you pushed to fact check what Nelochukwu said and i believe it was the right thing to do. So seeing proof from another user here should let you know driving for that long 'with one account' under uber is actually something many people here or there have done. Let it slide bro.
