| Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by AntiChristian(op): 10:12am On Sep 11 |
In the Bible, Adam and Eve ate from the tree of Good and Evil before knowing what Good and Evil were. How can it be said that they sinned when they do not know what good is? When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eyes, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom, she took the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; so they sewed together fig leaves and made coverings for themselves Genesis 3:6-7 |

Idiotic argument from a daft islamist. God already told them what will happen should they partake of that tree with branches and fruits of varying extents of evil(complementary good & evil). They finally did and you are here spewing trash. All over the good book, there are chains of cause-effect. That's the root of even science and technology you are typing your error with. |
| Re: Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by AntiChristian(op): 10:35am On Sep 11 |
CodeTemplar:God told them but it was until they ate from the tree did they know what good is. They had no moral awareness as to what they were commanded. Let me ignore your abuse. I came from a better home. It's like a kid you told not to take an item. But he still takes it. That's kids stuff with no moral awareness. |

AntiChristian:Everything God created was already good. They trusted their iwn instinct to establish a new standard. |

AntiChristian:I thought Adam was a prophet in Islam If he was, how come he was able to fall into sin. Where was Jibreel when Allah's beloved prophet was falling into the hands of shaytan If Prophet Adam could fall into error, does that not mean that the satanic verses really happened and shaytan spoke through Muhammad? If so, how can we be sure that other parts of the Qur'an were not inspired by shaytan? Look at the verses that endorsed sexual slavery fur example. There's also a verse that allowed Muhammad to cause the divorce of his son's wife and later marry her. Let's not mention the verses that are quoted by terrorists today. All these verses are satanic. A good tree does not bear bad fruits! |

Kukutente23:The context mentioned was "In the Bible" not elsewhere. Use your glasses. Stop responding to what's in your head. If he was, how come he was able to fall into sin. Where was Jibreel when Allah's beloved prophet was falling into the hands of shaytanChai! And you went to school like this? AntiChristian: |

CodeTemplar:Was the tree of Good and Evil good, evil or both if everything God created was already good? Also Isaiah 45:7 KJV - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. So who is the liar, you or the KJV Bible above? |

AntiChristian:WOW... are you seriously attempting to blame the KJV for your inability to resolve what is written? 😒😒 The commenter already appropriately answered your question. CodeTemplar:The commenter there, explained that the woman ignored the command given to her (and the man). She decided it was her place as far as what she could do or not do. That is what sin is...abandoning the teachings and commandments of YHWH to pursue one's own desires—or, in this case, the suggestions of another, as the woman listened and took counsel from the snake instead — outside of what He has willed for them. 😒😒 |

AntiChristian:But Adam in the Bible is supposed to be the same Adam in the Qur'an or are they different? If they are the same, why do you want to hold one up to a certain standard but excuse the other narrative? It is you whose education should be questioned. Adam in the Bible was not a prophet. He was never seen as infallible or beyond reproach In the Qur'an however, he's a prophet. Who he's sent to we don't know since he's the first man in the Qur'an too but we shall go with the obviously meaningless title. So as a prophet of Allah, if he falls into the hands of shaytan, does that not mean that all the prophets in Islam are vulnerable to shaytan including Muhammad? Does that not make the possibility of satanic verses in the Qur'an true? |
| Re: Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by AntiChristian(op): 6:13pm On Sep 11 |
Kukutente23:Yeah, the same Adam and Eve but vaired story and settings so the standards should be different. It is you whose education should be questioned. That's why i say the story is different. Adam was taught by Allah. He is the first Prophet of Islam. And yes, only God is infallible not any human. In the Qur'an however, he's a prophet. Who he's sent to we don't know since he's the first man in the Qur'an too but we shall go with the obviously meaningless title. The definition of Prophethood is different in Islam. The term Prophet and messenger are well known in Islam. Adam is the first Prophet but Noah is the first messenger. The former is chosen by God to receive divine inspirations but is not send to a disbelieving people. The later is sent to a disbelieving people. All messengers are Prophets but not all Prophets are messengers. So as a prophet of Allah, if he falls into the hands of shaytan, does that not mean that all the prophets in Islam are vulnerable to shaytan including Muhammad? Does that not make the possibility of satanic verses in the Qur'an true? All humans are not infallible. That's why Prophets are inspired. Can't you see as Samson was empowered by the Holy Spirit that he started killing about? Will you call that Satanic too? |

Kobojunkie:He said everything God created was God. But evil is not good, is it? Eating from the tree opened their eye to recognize what is Good and otherwise. They had no moral awareness before eating from the tree. Did God open their eyes or taught them to know what good or bad was? No, they knew that after eating from the tree. |
| Re: Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by Kobojunkie: 6:35pm On Sep 11*. Modified: 8:29pm On Sep 12 |
AntiChristian:1. Yes, everything was good and created in obedience to the word of YHWH. Evil was created in obedience to the word of YHWH, but that does not make acts of evil-- literal disobedience of the word of YHWH-- good. YHWH then said that the act of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in disobedience. 😒 2. Yeah, that is a lie! This is what KJV instead says is the following: 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:They were lied to by the snake. What they instead learned after eating was that they were naked. A fact that they must have been unconsciously aware of up until that point but never paid much mind to until after eating the fruit. 😒😒 3. That is a lie! Again, consider what is instead written in the passage above.😒 4. Again, this is false! 😒 |

Kobojunkie:But it is clear from what you wrote there above. They were like kids who were unaware of their nudity. How will they obey instructions? |
| Re: Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by Kobojunkie: 2:58pm On Sep 12*. Modified: 8:34pm On Sep 12 |
AntiChristian:You seem to be deflecting again, as your response makes no sense! Some adults live in nude camps, and we have the tribe in Nigeria who also live naked to this day(adults and children alike). People who are not ashamed of or embrace their nudity are not at all like kids. Instead, those who are not able to contend with their unclothedness mostly cover up out of shame, not out of lack of knowledge of their unclothedness. And a lot of times, realizations --- when a person's eye is opened--- it does not necessarily come from the revelation of a new truth but from having one's focus shift in the direction of a truth that one's subconscious has long been aware of but the conscious mind never paid much attention to. So, what in the world are you on about now? 😒 What does any of that have to do with obedience to a command given to them, and them choosing instead to believe a lie the snake fed them? 😒😒 |

AntiChristian:This is what you get when you try to explain spiritual stories literally. Like I said before, no story in the entire Tanakh maks any logical sense, that is because the author were not writing actual history. They are using parables to teach spiritual truth. Much like our traditional spiritualist. Anybody who is familiar with nollywood movies, when the Eze mno,is passing the message from God to the king, it is always with parables...That is what the Jews have written down.. So no need of going to the oracle. Read and learn. The interpretation is reserved for the rabbis The story is a story to introduce man to the principles of polarity. Good and evil, life and death, up and down, cold and hot. Etc. it also means that man was never meant to stay here forever as death is what gives meaning to life... A quick reminder, the snake is just a snake. That already a pointer that the story is not real. In the original tale, there are separate trees for both good and evil. It is story that teaches us how man lost the chance at immortality, and ended up being introduced to a principle of life. The law of polarity. |

AntiChristian:If it's the same Adam and Eve why do you want them to be judged by different standard? Are you saying one man's life should be viewed by different standards? Do you mean we can view Muhammad's life by the standard of Christianity? Would you consider that ok? That's why i say the story is different. Adam was taught by Allah. He is the first Prophet of Islam. And yes, only God is infallible not any human. So how come Muhammad is infallible in Islam? Everything he did including raiding caravans was approved by Allah. If Adam was the first prophet and was fallible how did Muhammad suddenly become infallible in Islam? The definition of Prophethood is different in Islam. The term Prophet and messenger are well known in Islam. Adam is the first Prophet but Noah is the first messenger. The former is chosen by God to receive divine inspirations but is not send to a disbelieving people. The later is sent to a disbelieving people. All messengers are Prophets but not all Prophets are messengers.Where did you get this definition of prophet and messenger from? Is it from Qur'an or hadith? Kindly share your reference. You can't just be bringing distinction of prophet and messenger from your head and expect it to be taken seriously All humans are not infallible. That's why Prophets are inspired. Can't you see as Samson was empowered by the Holy Spirit that he started killing about? Will you call that Satanic too?Let's refer to Muhammad again? How come he is presented as infallible in Islam? How could he marry a 6 year old girl? How could he be justified in marrying his adopted son's wife? How could his decision to endorse rape and sexual slavery be viewed as correct? Is Muhammad fallible? If so give us examples from the Qur'an and hadith of his fallibility |

Kobojunkie:They were given a command which they ordinary won't recognise as their eyes are closed till they ate from the tree. |
| Re: Adam, Eve And The Tree Of Good And Evil by Kobojunkie: 2:17pm On Sep 14 |
AntiChristian:Again, you lie! 🙄🙄 1 The snake was the most clever of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. The snake spoke to the woman and said, “Woman, did God really tell you that you must not eat from any tree in the garden?”The passage reveals that the woman clearly understood the command that was given to her. Why contradict what is clearly stated? 🙄🙄 |
