What manner of consolation is this?

It is the way the club is being run that made you to lose to a team one player short?

It is the way the club is being run that made players not to be signed for him?

" Pikin ugly, you say na because rain beat am. Shey rain they wash away beauty ni?
Someone is technically inept and malnourished and you are blaming the running of the club.

Was it not the say way the club was ran when he came third?

I am a Man U fan all day and night long (Apologies Lionel Richie)
Hahaha... Calm down, calm down.

Amorim lost at home to an Everton team on a Red card. grin

Complaining about coaches every second season has now become a Man United thing.

It has been like this since Ferguson left many years ago.

What else is new?!!

Arsenal vs City again for the title.

The Haaland goal should have been called for offside, but still, United were terrible. It was like they were the ones down to ten at times.

After all the noise their fans made at the start they are back to their level, mediocres undecided

Only a miracle will save una this season.

...And don't talk about a new coach... Nothing will improve even when Carrick leaves.
I don't agree Carrick should've use his brain, we have sesko zesky mazarou Lacey fletcher Santos, if the management no wan do the right thing the coach should use his brain na, no be the same team he takes climb 3rd place last season, so what happened to him now that he's starting afresh, no be wetin kill amorin be that, sticking on philosophy wey no make sense

VAR, Offside and the Dorgu Foot — What I Make of the Decision?

Watching that goal again, I think the VAR explanation is actually quite interesting.

Yes, the attacking player was in an offside position, but he didn't touch the ball. So the question wasn't simply, “Was he offside?” The question was whether he became actively involved in the play or interfered with an opponent.

VAR apparently determined that he didn't.

Then comes the more important part: Patrick Dorgu's foot.

From the normal camera angle, it looks like the goalscorer is clearly offside. But when you freeze the frame at the exact moment the ball is played, Dorgu's outstretched foot is keeping him onside.

That's why the goal was allowed to stand.

This is a good example of why offside decisions can be deceiving when we're watching from a normal TV angle. Your eyes immediately focus on the attacker's body, but VAR is looking at the precise position of the relevant body parts at the exact moment the ball is played.

Personally, I think the decision is technically correct, even if it looks strange at first glance.

Its an incorrect decision and clearly offside.

Enzo was clearly offside, attempted to play the ball and obstructed Martinez and affected the keeper, very clear offside.

0.04 xG on target. Let that sink in.

That statistic tells you a lot about Manchester United’s performance today.

United created very little of real quality. You can argue they had only about two genuine opportunities, and even those failed to seriously trouble Manchester City’s goalkeeper for most of the game. The one outstanding save towards the end was probably the only moment where City were genuinely tested.

And there is another interesting point about the statistics: hitting the post or crossbar is officially recorded as a shot off target. City hit the woodwork once today, and United had their own efforts that could easily have changed the complexion of the game. But the numbers don't fully capture those moments.

Still, the bigger issue is United's overall attacking output.

Seventy minutes (70mins). Home ground. One extra man.

If you're Manchester United, playing at Old Trafford, and you have a numerical advantage for 70 minutes, you simply have to create more than that. You have to put the opposition under serious pressure, move the ball quicker, get players into dangerous positions and manufacture clear chances.

Instead, United struggled to turn the numerical advantage into meaningful attacking pressure.

That's the worrying part.

You can lose a derby. You can lose to Manchester City. But the manner of the defeat is what will concern United fans.

One goal conceded, almost nothing created, and not enough urgency when the opportunity was there.

For all the talk about tactics, individual players and missed opportunities, the brutal reality is simple:

Manchester United were not good enough in front of goal today.

Nah, it is still offside for me.

Enzo Fernandez by attempting to head the ball in an offside position affects both the defender and the goalkeeper. Martinez probably clears that ball without him, and the goalkeepers rhythm was disturbed by having to face two actions instead of one.

I no understand this goal
1. It touched Man U player's leg before getting to Haaland who wasn't offside at that point
2. The linesman thought it touched that Man City player(who was offside ) before getting to Haaland but after checking they discovered that it didn't touch him.
