Since after the 2026 world cup I now see football as scripted, as in wrestling and decided not to be passionate about it as I have been for about 30years now

For that goal and the red card to be allowed only reinforced my conviction
Re: English Referee Governing Body Says Haaland's Goal Was Offside by Hemanwel(m):
So, it's only Haaland's goal they faulted. What about Phil Foden's undeserved straight red card?

These English referee's and their shenanigans sef!

Na so Graham Poll go give player two yellow cards without sending him out for one WC like that..

Same way they later admitted the foul on Bruno Guimaraes against Aston villa should have been a penalty.

It was a clear goal. Enzo Fernadeez did not touch d ball and didn't even block d view of the goalkeeper, while Haaland was very onside. The rule is the rule forget What ref association says.Mediocre Man Utd shld go and lick.their wounds.

ManU still doesn't have an excuse to justify that loss yesterday. It was a shameful loss. Nothing can ever justify it

Ok, After i have received my Cashout? Nobody should call me for any form of refund because i am not the referee that officiated the Match Besides, if they deside to take 2 points from Mancity and give 1 point to ManUnited, What will they do with the remaining 1 point? Can Premier League Point be Monitized?

The damage is done already

Human error at interpreting VAR is the new challenge now
This is not human error. That individual handling the VAR needs to investigated because I've learned he comes from Manchester so clearly he likely supports one of the teams.

Yen yen yen, after the VAR scammers have received full payments abi?...grin grin grin

Will they now cancel the goal after admitting it was scored from an offside position? NO, Will the bullshiit happen again? YES...grin grin grin

VAR was created NOT to assist the referees but to control the outcome of the game, know this and know peace, how can 4 grown men with the only job of checking the errors the on field referees cannot see yet they keep making blunders week in week out..grin grin grin

Imagine make referee wey dey field dey see pass people wey dey watch 8 tv screens together inside one small room...grin grin grin

VAR IS USELESS TO FOOTBALL...grin grin grin

Who told you that touching the ball or impeding the view of the goalkeeper are the only ways to interfere with play? You obviously don't have a clue what the rule actually says.

And that error will be solved with another technology that will later be bugged by human error and the cycle continues until we go back to the basics again.

That is already playing out with AI where Isreali and US soldiers will see a hall full of children with the use of AI yet a blood thirsty genocidal human being will press the button for missile release to kill hundreds of children!

So, VAR is useless. What's the purpose of this since it can't overturn the result.

This is stupid and you know what's more stupid, the fact that Manchester United played like there was no urgency to their own game.

I'm glad Manchester City won. Manchester United should better get their act together.

This is the main problem when making decisions that depend on judgement... interpretation is usually a challenge because everyone will have a different opinion

Udomaogodo:
I'm a MU fan but City deserve the win ,they(city) played better. United failed to capitalize on cities early red card so they should leak their wounds.
No they didn’t. You obviously didn’t watch the match but just relying on fulltime scores on Sofascore and nairaland. United had been outplaying them even before that red card. There were just unlucky. Two of their shots even got stopped by the woodworks and Donarumma was fire that last night. Bruno should have gotten a yellow card too and yes, Foden deserved that red card. You can’t kick your opponent’s groin all because he provoked you first.
Away from that, something drastic needs to be done about this English refereeing problem. You can’t keep apologizing week in week out and the favored teams still retaining their points. The ref got the decision right because it was a daylight offside. Both Haaland and Enzo were very visibly offside until Var stepped in.

Awoniyi and Foden's red cards are also wrong
Bruno also kicked Foden which resulted in his retaliation.. Why was the kicked not reviewed?

I am sure if were to be another club that is not United, that's definitely a red card.

So I guess they decided to make it fair

So booting someone’s groin should not have been penalized? Even in boxing, you aren’t getting away with that. So what exactly are you on about ?
The sensible thing to say here is that Fernandez too should have been shown a yellow card at least.
