Sheuns:Lagos and SW wants the Chinese retailers. They are good for consumers Prices of many consumer goods needed for Business like Solar panels, inverters, Computers and Phones will reduce and people would be able to invest their savings in viable industries like Agriculture This type of Competition is good The Chinese have also established Factories in SW The ones we don't want them to engage in like Ankara , Adire and Aso Oke production we the people of Yorubaland will inform them ourselves |

tollyboy5:I'm not against that. I'm against what the Chinese are doing. Besides Coca cola or Pepsi factory, you will see shops selling their products. If you enter those companies and say you want to buy one bottle of those drinks bcus it's sold at maybe #400 inside company as against #500 outside, the company will not sell to you, they'll still direct you to go outside and get them. Same with Dangote Cement, Alcoholic beverages companies. So why do the Chinese now brought the product to where their distributors are and now selling cheaper. Aren't you thinking what I am thinking |

owobokiri:The truth, the fact, you just laid bare absolutely correct . Fear the Chinese, they are the 21st century hegemonist empire and we shouldn't fold our arms at the practice of a rapidly rising economy powerhouse even another established world power , USA is having a serious trade war with . No one can convince me the semitic biblical God's people are more cunning and ruthless in business as these Chinese people . That said , every monopolistic practices the Chinese do in that now threatens Nigeria' business , everything you wrote out there Is just bigger sharks chasing off sharks from the waters . At what point do we begin to see the two as same sharks ibut in different sizes exploiting Nigerians ? Aside the very valid long term adverse effect of our economy suffering the maximum capital flight why shouldn't consumers embrace goods and services at cheaper prices in this present economy ? Why has the price of say, a Fireman branded generator plug not come down from 1500 - 1700 from when petrol prices first hit 1100 naira in 2023 even when petrol later became as low as 680 naira ?. Now it is 2000 naira as we speak . Yes, we blame strait of Hormuz for now innit ? Look, we can't ask for government intervention now in a capitalist market when we were saying government can't enforce price control or curtail arbitrary price increase from marketers because they ( marketers) say government didn't buy their goods nor pay for the clearing cost for their imported goods from China . Well now, are the Chinese selling cheaper not also paying the government of Nigeria for the same imported goods ? Nigerians too must help the government to curb the threat the oriental people pose to Nigerian owned business by not being greedy. Let's not even start the menace of many dishonest , sharp practices Nigerian traders engage in with unsuspecting customers . Selling copper plated aluminium as copper , selling 2022 model as 2025 , substandard products flooding the markets etc. |

No need to protest, by the time the Chinese are done with the short-sighted so-called sons of the soil, they will call them back. |

FSBoperator:I no like to dey discuss with tinubu people. See a manufacturer manufactured a product outside your country but comes to your country to retail it, yet you see nothing wrong with it. |

Badonasty:I tell you bro. And after Vdm, the matter don spread on TikTok. I’ve seen videos of several Nigerians asking why Nigeria importers have been ripping them for long.. As par the Igbo matter here, their pain is that, what they used to import 5k and then sell 35k isn’t working anymore. This is even despite that what they do import are usually fake things! Now, Chinese are here selling more durable thing and at less price.. Their pains came out from selfish interest! If they really cared, they wouldn’t have been rippin.. Make I even tell you, it was Nigerians that told Chinese they’re welcome, after Nigerians saw that things are not actually expensive like they’ve been always saying.. |

FSBoperator:The Chinese retailing in Nigeria might not be the manufacturer but they have certain advantages than the average Nigerian traders . These Chinese sell cheaper than the traders. That should say something. |

Diligence:G. B. A. M ! Plus prices of goods sold by Nigerian retailers must be regulated by the government to check arbitrary increase in goods prices so that the devil offering us salvation in form of much cheaper prices will later not hold us by the neck after local competitors have folded up a la Dangote cement. |

Tenses:Business is all about having an edge. We are not going to offer protectionist policies to you because you don't produce the goods and you sell even far higher than the Chinese retailers. Go and establish your own connect in china if you want to compete. |

Sheuns:Those fake products came from China, youre correct.. But in China, they can make a shoe of $1 and 7$. Igbo people will buy the one of $1 and be selling at 7$ prices… You spot the difference? Now, Chinese are here, selling what’s $1, $1 and what’s $7, $7 |
