This man sha, a whole APC can’t find any dirt on him….e no dey fear put everything on the line
We are waiting for Soludo to print the Bank statement and show us the transfers.

The kind of bitter politics Obi has faced from his own brothers is funny.

Someone has ruled 8 years
You have ruled 4 years, but you are still throwing stones to go as far as 12 years ago.

If na the ones I dey buy from from those guys selling in local stores or even Computer village sef (no matter how expensive it is), the thing go don cast since.
Na so we see am

I bought like 8 kdk standing fans 10 years ago. 5 are still working. The three that have packed up I have just not bothered to try to fix

Those fans were 20 to 25k when I bought them. They are over 100k now. I bought an original 100% copper winding fan for my study for 57k.The fan motor burned in three months. Turns out it is actually aluminum among other issues.

That is the story of most of the goods sold in Nigeria today.

I also had the burnt charger and failed cable experience until I started buying at park and shop.

When Nigerians were setting ring light in China to show how cheap things were in the name of "Business", I knew we were inviting price crashers.

Most of all these items are things that can be produced here. Why can't these guys pool resources together to do it here?

We import cotton buds, threads and very funny stuff. After spending 20 years making billions, why not produce here so you can change the game however you want?

Those protests mean nothing. People will go and find those Chinese wherever they are
Lol.

I have no issues if APC paid agents or political hopefuls defend it. My concern is how an average or poor man can't think.

Let me give you another instance

Margaret Obi, a private citizen, who's husband has no keys to the public vault is dragged for holding a bag worth hundreds of millions.

Meanwhile, Tinubu has spent 37 billion naira on foreign trips since 2023. The highest ever done since 1914

He has also spent 260plus days on vacation since 2023.

That's how Nigeria has messed up the brains of its people. Wetin dey abnormal don dey normal
Obi sold himself as a prudent person. No one told him to, he did willingly but when we are seeing his opulent lifestyle it screams hypocrisy

Chinese don flood Nigerian market and are now retailing sef.

Importer & Exporter don dey cry. grin

What is even funnier is that leaving the market changes nothing. The Chinese can still establish it anywhere and make their sales
Chinese are simply cutting out the middle men

Manufacturers straight to consumers

I don't know what the lol is about, but it's true

Growing up, wall tiles were imported. Today we have Goodwill and CDK producing 90% of it. Infact, Nigerians are now distributors for them

Goodwill and CDK are Chinese companies in Ogun state

There are many things we import, that can be produced here easily
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:10pm On Sep 15
Nigeria imports something like this.

Somebody dey make millions from this, but e no fit produce am here

Now that Chinese are crashing prices, what is the new plan?

Cost of projection in Nigeria is no joke. Lack of constant electricity & high cost of diesel, regulatory bottlenecks and dealing with multiple taxation may actaully discourage entrepreneurs from producing some of those things u listed up there.

I commend anyone that is into manufacturing/production of local goods in this country in this current economic climate and with the associated issues that comes from manufacturing.

The order of preference should be

1. Nigerians manufacture in Nigeria
2. Foreigners manufacture in Nigeria

Before we start talking about importing

The Chinese are able to run the manufacturing in the same Nigeria whch those middlemen are now protesting

Even though I would have preferred the manufacturing done by Nigerians

The Chinese are able to do that because they do the following:

1. They use cheap labour and don't really care about human rights
2. They know how to bribe their way around regulatory bottlenecks
3. They get the "white man " privilege
4. They have access to forex from their country.

The cost of capital alone for a potential Nigerian Manufacturer will shock you.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:30pm On Sep 15
Talking about cost of capital and accessibility to capital, I read yesterday that no Nigerian bank is willing to provide credit to most new oil well license holders to drill their first oil.

Local lenders are saying to those who recently won drilling license that they cannot provide credit for them until they drill their first oil. So that means they have to source for capital outside the Nigerian banking system to fund the oil drilling venture .

1. These cheap labor are mostly Nigerians in Nigeria or o you think imported Chinese labor are cheaper than Nigerian labor.
2. Is it like Nigerian manufacturers are strange to bribery around regulation bottlenecks
3. What are these white man privileges
4. Is Forx from their country cheaper than in Nigeria? Nigerian manufacturers can source money from abroad to manufacture

1. Don't u see how NLC and TUC picket Nigerian companies when they learn they are using Nigerians for cheap Labour? Don't u see how Nigerian Press and general public make noise when they hear of Nigerian companies enslaving staff?

When the Chinese do same, even if our people make small noise once, once these Asians engage our own police and soldiers they will deal with the "trouble makers" and it will continue to be business as usual

2. Most Nigerians who have money for that kind of venture don't want to commit their funs to venture that leaves them at the mercy of officials of regulatory agency. They don't want their capital hanging because of some mid-level and senior level civil servants that need to be settled. All those NAFDAC, SON staff.....Make I no talk sef

3. Wetin Chinese go do and get away with it in this country, you will be surprised a fellow Nigerian won't get away with it.

4. These people bring money into this country. They are not begging Bank RM's to help them package loan facilities that comes with double digit interest rate.

They are displacing importers / traders

Be careful of what you wish for.

Chinese cars no get second hand value and most Nigerians can't afford brand new Chinese vehicles.

I agree most Nigerian car dealers are greedy sha.

It depends

As a person, I pay less attention to any second hand value argument. If you enjoy the car, use am and sell it or dash person.

I'll rather buy a budget friendly, brand new Chinese car and have peace of mind for the next 5 years, than buy Tokunboh in the name of "second hand value", and visit mechanic back to back

It depends on perspective sha
