It depends

As a person, I pay less attention to any second hand value argument. If you enjoy the car, use am and sell it or dash person.

I'll rather buy a budget friendly, brand new Chinese car and have peace of mind for the next 5 years, than buy Tokunboh in the name of "second hand value", and visit mechanic back to back

It depends on perspective sha

A zoologist said obi left no debt. You know nothing.

I think the gloves are off and from now to January obi and the obidients are going to get smacked in the face with hard truths to counter the uninformed lies and half truths they have been telling without being called out.
Lol, what hard truths are you talking about?

You should be holding the L of swallowing the gibberish that Soludo has been feeding you.

Peter Obi said he didn't leave Anambra in debt, and the breakdown by Ibime is testament to that.

Ibime:
For the record, Peter Obi did leave debt at Anambra but also left very healthy Working Capital that covered the debt

His claim of leaving Anambra debt free is just an uninformed way of saying he left a positive Working Capital to long term liabilities ratio.

Soludo has an axe to grind and has added interest compounding over the years and foreign exchange drift to the principle Obi borrowed to land at a figure that tarnishes his reputation

This is the truth of the matter:

Obi left N9 billion in cash and N25.6bln in investments less N15bln in short term liabilities to contractors. This has been verified from several sources and in detail.

Therefore Net Current Assets = N9bln + N25.6bln - N15bln = N20.6 bln

In long term liabilities, he left N3bln in domestic debt and the equivalent of N4.5bln in external debt,

Therefore Long Term liabilities = N7 5bln

Net Current Assets therefore covered Long term liabilities by a factor of almost 3 to 1. This is called the Working Capital to long term liabilities ratio

If are familiar with the concept of Free Reserves in non-profits, you can take the Net Current Assets of N20.6bln minus the N7.5bln long term debt and be left with N13.1 bln as free reserves, assuming all reserves are unrestricted.

That means if Obiano immediately liquidated all near-cash instruments that Obi left him and immediately paid all contractors and paid off long term debt, he would have been left with N13.1 bln spare cash.
Thanks for this, should put the matter to rest.

We have to decide which kind of Simpleton you are - one that can't crunch numbers or one that swallows the lies of duplicitous men

Your hero was prancing around claiming he left Anambra debt free while signing post dated gbese for his successor. That is the duplictous man you are stanning for.

Anyway we know where you and spy360 stand. A bauble owned aisha Buhari is a big deal but a bauble owned by Margaret obi is a nothing burger.

His claim of leaving Anambra debt free is just an uninformed way of saying he left a positive Working Capital to long term liabilities ratio.
What would obi be without the victims of the olodo uprising tongue

When you also consider that his 26billion asset of the hero beer brewery has no value today... I guess we can say he pulled his own govt IPO and got away clean.

I was expecting a response that had numbers attached, and not you circling back to your subjective definition of "debt free".

Once again, this was the summary of Ibim3's post, make sure you're reading to understand, and not to respond:

Net Current Assets = N9bln + N25.6bln - N15bln = N20.6 bln
Long Term liabilities = N7 5bln

And you posted a video showing #185bn debt left behind by Peter Obi, where in Ibim3's writeup did your 185bn feature?

Governments, companies and institutions of that size have liabilities, his job at the end of his tenure was to leave the state in a position where they could service existing debts in a healthy manner, and he did more than that, he left them in a position where they could outrightly pay off those liabilties with several billions to spare.

Peter Obi can't be said to have left 185bn behind (under any guise I should add), when at the point of his handover it's said he had 7.5bn liabilities. He can't be held responsible for debt servicing over a decade after his tenure, nor the Buhari/Tinubu-led economic miracle that essentially turned our currency to toilet paper.

Unless you're here saying that states/companies should always maintain a liability balance of #0 cheesy

Attached is his handover note acknowledging liabilities...go and verify tongue

Just like the nonsense Monday and his political co-travellers are doing in Edo state all in the name of being loyal to Tinubu 🤮🤮🤮.

OBI is a packaged scam. Majority of his supporters are wicked people.

An Obidient, Okpansukka later mistakenly confirmed that OBI did nothing as per infrastructural development as Governor, when they were comparing Anambra and Enugu. But he still wanted him to become the President of a country with hydra headed challenges.

I got a message this evening purportedly from FRSC informing me about a pending speed limit violation ( see attached Pix 1)

I clicked the link in the text message 99% sure it's a scam because the website domain name was obviously not .gov despite FRSC being a government agency.

The link led me to a page where I was required to input my vehicle reg number to confirm traffic violation status. As expected, they claimed I violated speed limit. They provided fields for me to input card details so they can debit me for ₦3,000 which is the official fine for my offence. (See Pix 2 & 3 attached).

I know this is definitely the handwork of some yahoo boys with coding skills trying to run local scam on unsuspecting Nigerians since e be like yahoo Don hard well well now.

I also know for a fact that the ₦3,000 fine is not the main target of the scammers but whatever balance is on the ATM card of hundreds of people who would be unfortunate enough to fill in their card details on the fake FRSC payment portal.

I say make I put this here to warn people who may not really be aware of this scam.
Less than 12 hours after posting this, I saw post below on Twitter by one of their victims.

As I suspected, the paltry fine of ₦5,000 or ₦3,000 is not the target of the scammers but the card details of victims which they will use to wipe victims' bank accounts.

But with the way technology is now advanced, I don't think banks should be telling victims there's nothing they can do about it. Banks should be able to trace and track funds that is still within Nigerian banking system. Haba!

No. The link will lead you to a page that looks like normal FRSC portal and you will see a field for you to input your plate number to check if indeed you violated any traffic rule.

What I think they did is they cloned FRSC website and already programmed their cloned site to confirm you violated traffic rule (Whether you enter your correct plate number or not, the result of your query will always be that you violated). So they expect you to proceed to input your card details to pay the N5,000 or N3,000 fine as penalty for your offence.
