I use CNG and what Nelo is saying annoys me. I installed CNG for myself, not for the app to reduce price. All the Danfo and Keke and CNG, do they care about if they will make profit if they carry the old price? They didn’t install to please any passenger.

What is bad is bad regardless o… I doubt he understands the insane ratio of distance/price if per km is 250. That’s like traveling form Ajah to Ikorodu for 15k. Imagine if 3 passengers enter, they will average 5k for that trip.

Driver will squeeze face all through the journey.
Just ignore all these CNG noises. Any driver who consistently grossed high when petrol price was affordable would not be impressed by CNG. Not that CNG is not more profitable but the paucity of CNG infrastructure is a major bottleneck to making the profits consistently.

Most of them use the outliers in their profit margins to brag about how much money they make using CNG. If my mean daily earning is 30k I want it on a consistent basis, and with a low standard deviation, not earnings with a high volatility.

Perhaps, Lagos people just drive in and buy CNG. But here you spend nothing less than 4 hours at the station and most of time you are not getting high pressure. You could be there for significantly longer hours. Sometimes people spend days at stations waiting for gas.

If you factor all of these in I don't think these noises are warranted. I no blame them sha, na the stupid people wey go start unnecessary war for another country cause am.

Make una sha dey watch. Some stations here already sell CNG at N600 per SCM. I want see where we go run to when it hits 1000 naira, but I hope not.

Baba i made 34K after Fuel & App commission yesterday, during uber days i dey make 50-70K.

I would have snapped my app earnings but i'm currently on a Paid waiting trip

I drive a 2009 Toyota Matrix

Mind you the refuel is with personal waka from mechanic and other short short waka.

How much Gas will i use to waka same 141 Miles of driving? Maybe 10K? So this thing is achievable.

I no dey target 100K daily, but i want to go back to my usual 50-80K daily earnings.

Bolt vs Indrive competition is the problem. If Indrive increases Base Fare and blocked that Loophole where people can reduce fare by trick things will be better.

As fuel price dey increase Bolt dey reduce price, very useless app
I said part not wholly, and as for Indrive, increasing the Base Fair and blocking that loophole as you have suggested will be the last things they will do, people wey they tell rider say them fit bring the price down for their ads.

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by obacasmir: 2:49pm On Sep 21
I really don't want to believe cng users are picking those ridiculous prices...

That's so demeaning.
SHOOPSYN:
Please, if you are using CNG and you have:
Battery problem on the road,
Overheating and need water,
You want to tow your car on 3MB, don't wave me down grin grin
I will start checking drivers trunk before I assist any driver on the road.
Ridiculousness is understatement when it comes to what they are picking.
Nothing can change that average Nigerian mentality(me, myself first).
The bottom line is, is a business model. Fuel users will be forced to go back to ×2 or less, while cng shift to ×3/4.
Is either we idance along (nstall) or continue to dance Azonto.
Everybody will be alright.

My believe is that the rental model may no longer be sustainable with the current high cost of petrol and car maintenance.

I was at an event centre parking lot on Sunday, a guy walked up to me, turned out to be a copilot, it was lamentation upon lamentation concerning the low price, he asked am i using Gas, told him i dont have CNG... He said he was fed up, that he had only done 2 trips on indrive with useless prices, and that he was heading home, i encouraged, him to at least look for a destination trip to his house, he said he did not care and drove off. I was only able to do only 3 trips on indrive, because the prices does not justify the high cost of fuel.

My prayer is God will accelerate our exit plan to something more financially rewarding and less stressful.

Indrive will never increase the base fare cos if they do so, another ehailing app will spring up and use that same loophole as their selling point and everything goes back to square 1

It's just sad to read that even in this pitiable state of the business, some people are still dancing and twerking that cng is the best thing after fried rice instead of seeking for a redress in app pricing.

It so sad

Nope, without Drivers, no app coy can thrive. The Drivers that flooded Indrive were mostly blocked by Bolt and Uber. Indrive learnt this and stopped blocking drivers unnecessary.
They lured more Drivers through a lowered commission, first from zero percent to 5 to 10 now 15%.
Before another emailing app will succeed it must cause Indrive to lose Drivers and also give more earnings to Drivers.

Amen. Spot on bro. D situation is very sad. Drivers really don't understand the power they have. Iz not easy to own a car so y feel so demoralized as to allow riders and app companies dictate d pace?

As long as we have drivers who are in it just to eat their next meal I'm sorry it won't get better.

Before wen Uber started and taxify days this work was more dignifying. Clean cars clean drivers now is all man for demselves.

I really pray things get better I believe they will but iz will get worse first.

I really don't know how folks who use fuel r coping but iz very difficult now and dere is serious hunger in d land.

Drivers are gathering at National Stadium Surulere. They are requesting rides to lure drivers to meet them there

I told the one that made me waste my time to atleast inform me but they rained curses on their village juju when I told them I was not going to stay. One said I go die and I replied 'won't we all'

So, if you get a request inside stadium, check well well

Sincerely I wish them and myself well. From personal experience, protests yields little or no results

E go better

Nothing go work, bro.
It is futile to expect this kind of movement to make them increase price.
Those app. coys are crazy and only care about their commission and competition.

Much respect, boss.
