iamoyindamola:When i keep saying arteta dey sell to not directly replace, many no grab. Martinelli is now the latest. Tzolis na backup but now expectations go wound that one in no time and Eze can never fill that space. My own is why are they so clueless to take matters into their own hands when whatever the manager said has blatantly failed? I can list instances even in ucl where a manager's tactics was crap and key players discussed comeback for their badge and got it. I think at the top of such is selflessness and Saka and Odegaard are too culprits. Our last long passes genius was Partey. I missed his services cos this Brighton game needed that particular skillset. But nothing as seeing the cluelessness on the players while Brighton cut thru as though we had 5 red cards. Shameful!! |

Then we need to start talking about saka, that guy is earning a fortune for such abysmal show this isn't the first time. Someone on x said the reason saka is starting is because of mumuduke and I agreed because he's just slightly better at the moment. I also love that arteta completely ignored mumuduke for dowman yesterday, he also confirmed they under rated Brighton and I am happy they got punished severely. The break came at the right time for reset and change of approach going forward |

iamoyindamola:Saka dont have a very strong competition and it have made him act anyhow, I just pray and wish we sign a new right winger or allow Nwaneri to play. We need three things in January, Sign a left winger, striker and recall nwaneri. If there is anything I have notice about the two front men is that Gyorkress is not intelligent and is not flowing with the team while Havertz cannot convert every chance he is always getting. |

Two days later, blueraydick is yet to be found. This is what happens when you brag too much. No team is invincible, but arsenal fans seem to believe they can never lose, which is why some are finding it difficult to use their main monikers to comment after boasting non-stop on other clubs threads. ![]() |

iamoyindamola: ![]() Sign Xhaka back as how? Xhaka is not better than any of our current midfielders. We lost the Brighton match scandalously and it should be a call for Arteta and the boys to go back to the drawing board. But making it seem like signing old horse like Xhaka will do us any good is more of an emotional reaction to the loss. |

iamoyindamola:How are we anywhere belle face? We played excellently well against city, We played free flowing football against conventry city, we took Chelsea apart , We got the result despite spirited efforst by Sunderland and Napoli. Brighton was the first bad game we had this season; it should serve as a learning curve and not reason to panic at all. It shouldn't lead us to start making it seem the team has been bad since the season started. I'm Arteta and the boys would watch and re-watch clips of the Brighton game and see the phases of the match where they messed up. I'm sure they will work their way around the issues and come back stronger. I understand the fans are wary of City taking an early lead at the top of the log, but the good thing is it is just 3 points lead which can be reduced to zero in due time should we get our acts right on time. I strongly believe we will turn the tide after the international break. |

BlueRayDick:That's my point Do we have other plans after been choked out? I was expecting long balls since we can't play from the ball and be competing for second ball but we kept doing the same thing hoping for miracles |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 10:57am On Sep 21 |
iamoyindamola:I want to believe they would have other options. This one match will definitely not define the tactical dynamism of the team. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by chrisooblog: 11:43am On Sep 21 |
Exactly. This is in my honest our worst game in three seasons even at that Brighton had to be at their absolute best to beat us. We have played 5 away games this season and won 4 hardly the basis to start panicking. Mikel will sort them. I think Saka needs some talking to. Needs to up his game. He's capable of better. Kai can't give what he doesn't have so I won't unnecessarily criticise him. Hopefully Arteta recognizes this and tweaks the attack. BlueRayDick: |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 1:01pm On Sep 21 |
chrisooblog:You get. We've not been playing badly this season at all, that Brighton match is like our worse performance in ages. I'm sure it's a performance the players and the coaching staff want to quickly put behind their backs . As good as our defenders are, they also need to take away lessons from that Brighton game. By now they must have realised that even though David Raya is the best shot stopper in the league, he is still human Afterall. A well drilled shot will beat him sooner or later when the defense don't close down opponents well enough and allow them luxury of picking their angle. Rice & Bruno Guimaraes partnership lack that fluidity that we've been enjoying in the middle since the start of season. Whatever needs to give, I want to believe Arteta will either find a way for their partnership to work or drop one of them to the bench. I also think Arteta needs to be make bold decisions when it comes to Saka's recent performance. We all know Saka is the face of Arsenal as far as home grown talent becoming a star is concerned, but sometimes Arteta needs to help him to help himself. I know with time Saka has proven then so far he is still on the pitch , he can always come up with new tricks from his hat, but it will not always work. Arteta needs to start having thoughts of bringing on Dowman early to come up with magic on that Saka's wing. I don't rate Madueke and don't believe he would be our saviour on Saka's bad days, but I think Dowman has it in him. His performance in that match against Everton last season in the run-off to the title win has convinced me the boy can always bail us out on bad days. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by chrisooblog: 4:03pm On Sep 21 |
Well said. I haven't totally given up on Madueke. Some of his performances in last season's UCL and a few EPL still gives me a glimmer of hope he can perform reasonably for the team. Don't want Dowman at this point of his development to be overly burdened with digging the team out of tricky situations. BlueRayDick: |

Ibime:I think he was trying to reward Bruno for his goal contribution against Sunderland. Same reward that pave way for Maitland Neil breakthrough into Everton XL. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 7:54pm On Sep 21 |
I can understand criticizing Rice and Bruno for having a bad game. But 90% of Arsenal fans prolly agreed Rice, Bruno and Odegaard should be the starting midfield trio. Skelly played against Sunderland, and then played EFL. I knew he would be rested and I was proven right whn Bruno started. Funnily, if MLS had started against Brighton and had a bad game while we lost the game, a lot of fans would still question the coach on why he doesn't rotate. Talmabout Arteta wants to run MLS to the ground just like Saka BTW, Kai missing chances doesn't mean Gyokeres is better. Make both of them GTFO my club but I rather choose the devil I know. |

BlueRayDick:Your last line is just the koko, Arteta dont believe in Dowman, if it was in Wenger era, Dowman would have benched Saka for like two games first. Problem with Saka is no competition. |

The short aimless passes is irritating to say the least So sad they finally win the game but alas Chelsea is up next 😭😭😔😔... |

mostob:I don't see any special in that Gibbs-White, I believe he's just a beneficiary of the English tax. Signing a player like Gibbs-White will not change our fortune in any way at all. Maybe I rate Kroupi more than Gibbs-White, but I feel if we want to get the best let's not buy any of these overpriced players of EPL mid table teams. We can spread our search web beyond England; maybe to other European leagues or even South America sef. |
