Unfortunately what likely happened is an artisan did the procurement and installation. And the artisan almost certainly did not buy direct from itel.

Two years ago I swapped out my generator engines. I went to sumec head office and bought the engine personally. This year I decided to let my generator guy buy the engines rather than buy myself. Big mistake. He bought a lower quality engine and it has been sheet all the way. I am very angry with myself for not taking a day off to buy the engines by myself.

You cannot trust Nigerian artisans unless you have knowledge of what they are doing.
