No matter how far lies travel, the truth will always catch up with it. And it’s most disheartening when it’s outsiders trying to force a strange history on these Western and Non-Southeastern Igbos. Finally, We Told You All That Truth Backed Up With Facts And Evidence Will Surely Win.

Every one and every tribe claims to be superior to the other, yet they were all colonized by a country less than them in size. Always measuring dike up and down on irrelevant issues. |

Benin people are having personality crisis: today they claim Odùduwà, tomorrow Agbor, day after Igbanke, then others. People know their sources and history. It seems Benin people don't know any of these for certainty. |

My brother, i think the only tribe that really know their history and foundation in this country are the Yorubas, Benin and the Hausas. I have never heard them disputing about their origin or location from the time immemorial but we the rest of the country are always confused....God help us to recollect our foundation... That biafra war really did a lot of mental damage to a lot of igbo communities making igbos to deny their own identity so as to survive and be politically accepted by the nigerian state. |

Why are Yaribas so much interested in creating division between Igbos in the South East and their kinsmen carved into other regions by by British colonialists and Nigeria politicians during the civil war, somebody is answering Okechukwu Okonkwo or Ngozi Okeke but from Delta or Rivers States and you fulishly believe that they originated from somewhere else that they are not culturally or linguistically related in any way |

MichaelSokoto:In as much as I align with your comment, it is NOT government that failed, it is the traditional institution in each town and village that failed to document their own history. Nigeria came into being in October 1960, which is recent, but towns and villages had been in existence for centuries, yet they are still arguing where they came from. It is a tragedy!!! |

We should all be joining hands to plan for the future instead of fighting over who came from where thousands of years ago. |

Wetin the Small Boy King Know? He Should Ask Questions, OBI OF AGBOR, DEIN BENJAMIN IKENCHUKWU KEAGBOREKUZI, set a global record as the youngest monarch in the entire universe at his installation in 1979, at a mere 28 months ( Two(2) years and four(4) months). This historic event is recorded in the 1981 Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, set in the wake of the untimely death of his father and then reigning OBI of AGBOR, JAMES OBIKA IKENCHUKU, was later to set the pace for the trail-blazing life of the unusual king. Upon his coronation he was taken away immediately to the Palace of the Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa for save keeping, from whence he was taken abroad for forester care and study before coming back to begin reign at an matured age. The Obi of Agbor returned to Agbor in 2000 at age 22 years. BRIEF HISTORY OF IKA PEOPLE. Geographically, Ika speaking people are found in the North-West part of Delta State. Ika shares borders with Binis, in the West with the Ishans in the North, with Aniochas in the East and with Ukwuanis in the south. Politically, Ika people are mainly found in two local government areas, Ika North East and Ika South local Government Areas, Delta State both were created in 1991 from a single Ika Local Government Area, Delta State. Ika South and Ika North East Local Government Areas, occupy a land area of 117.45 Square Kilometres (Delta State Government website, 1999) with a Total Population of about 240,000 people. There are other Ika speaking people that are political outside the Ika North East and Ika South Local Government Areas. Agbor kingdom is in Ika South, Delta State, Nigeria. The indigenes of Agbor town are Ika people. Agbor remains the largest of Ika communities with close geographical proximity to Benin City. This proximity has been azsource of constant conflict with Benin, even uptil 1897AD when the British invaded Benin. Agbor is considered as the “most politically and militarily powerful of all Ika clans as recorded by Chukwu Ebuka and Iwueze Awele Success. The conflict with Benin which lasted until 1897AD may have also swelled the military prowess of the community and helped to make it a force to reckon with within the Ika nation (Simpson, 1936). |

If the agbor kingdom is over 2000 yrs old that means it's older than both the bini and itsekiri kingdoms that claimed to have started in the 15th century. |

abeg make we no set up tension between our igbo neighbors and brothers with benin. what i know is that though, agbor and most of its environs are benin provinces, which is y our kings, same as umunede, isele uku are crowned by the oba of benin, but almost 60% of delta north indigenes are actually igbo, but there are isoko, olukumi, benin people like parts of agbor, oza |

Mrexcell:Well I feel like it’s a matter of choice. For instance I’ve seen itshekiri speak Yoruba. There was a time I saw a documentary of itshekiri people that came from one part of ijebu water side orso. But they don’t identify as Yoruba. The word “yoruba” itself is recent. The “Igbo” might be recent too. Reason why people want to identify with their ancient identity than the recent word. For instance “awori” people of Lagos I identify themselves base on the story that their first settlers settled where “awo ri” meaning where the plate sank. The name is more ancient than the “Yoruba” name. Ijebu call themselves that name too and no one knows the origin of the word “ijebu”. These are just ancient names, sometimes Ijebu will say they’re not Oduduwa they’re from oluiwa and they’re Ijebu. So people prefer identify with their ancient identity |

tollyboy5:The itsekiris has always claimed to be a proud sub group of the yorubas but I get confused when they still claim that their first king that founded the itshekiri kingdom was a bini prince that left the bini kingdom in the 15th century. |

tollyboy5:Somebody who's surname is IKENCHUKWU. They added the N, just like Ikwere people of Rivers state removed the N and GB from their original Igbo names to avoid being killed by Nigerian/Hausa soldiers during the civil war. He does not have to say he's IGBO. We know he's Igbo. Check out the names of their military heroes from the 19th century. CHUKWU EBUKA and Iwueze. |

Its an insult to say Agbor people migrated from Benin. A big insult. Infact, the Benin and Agbor people were constantly at war. |

Antoeni:You’re calling the king small boy but nothing you shared here contradicted him. If anything, it stated that there has been conflict between the Ika people and Bini until 1897. So, you see you are not making sense? |
