Both teaching and non-teaching staff have bloated egos. Bank tellers, gatemen at government parastatals, bank tellers, doctors, typists in the civil service, PA to the Senior Pastor etc.

Nigerians don't drink responsibly from the well of power. That is why most (including the freedom fighters and activists) become power drunk when they are in any position of authority/power. There is an oppression codon in the Nigerian genome.
E be like bank tellers don show you shege, doc? This one that you typed it twice. grin grin

A friend who went to unilag (sowore is a unilag graduate) told me flatly four years ago that sowore is a scammer.at the time I chose not to argue, but it turns out the guy was right. I guess in the end if we live long enough the truth will become obvious.
Your friend knew Sowore? My Elder, I greet you sir.

I saw people posting 15k steps 20k steps all over my X timeline recently. I wonder how they do it.

That was how I saw ibime and co posting 10k steps and said I should try it, only 4k abi 3500 steps wey I waka I almost collapse.

This is why it's not good to try everything you see on social media.

You can imitate others and not live to tell the story oh, while the people you tried to imitate continue living their life to the fullest. grin

There is money in agriculture. A lot of people in the south just have this wrong misconception that agriculture is dirty and worthless.

Everything is just packaging. With proper packaging, and on ground monitoring, you'll make serious bar from agriculture, if any unforseen issues don't occur.

You tried.
From your 3k + steps, if you don't give up you will beat ibime's 15k steps.
Like me when I couldn't go past 5 push-ups straight without collapsing on my stomach. Now I could go past 50 at a go.

Everything gets better with more reps. For example, I had a base of press-ups as a kid from 4 years old of 20 press-ups cos my cousin kept making me do them, but never worked on it past that. In my teens, I started working on it again and pushed it up to 60. Then went years without working on it and dropped back down to 20-25, the muscle memory never let me drop below that. Now I'm back up to 60 again just from bench pressing. If I start focussing on press-ups purely, I'm sure I can push it to 80. Even if you stop working on it, I'm sure you'll always have a base of 20.

Health is wealth. The body adapts the more you do something, and it gets better.

I used to watch YouTube videos of people who run 100km-150km per week and thought it's impossible, now I'm advancing on 40km of running per week. If I focus on solely running, I'm sure I can double that, but I can't let running eat into my weightlifting time otherwise I will start to look like those skinny Kenyan marathon runners.

https://www.nairaland.com/8754059/lady-transfers-450000-indrive-driver

I don't know why some Nigerians are so dishonest and always showing their wickedness at the slightest chance they have. Customer wanted to pay for N4,500 indrive ride only to mistakenly transfer N450k to driver. Instead make driver return money he's doing everything possible to keep the money that obviously doesn't belong to him.

NB: I said "some Nigerians " because I've once made similar mistake and the nice woman involved was even the one that called my attention to my mistake and did the refund .

When my boy was born, on the day mother and son were to be discharged I decided to get a pack of juice to be shared amongst the security guards, nurses and admin staff on duty that afternoon.

I went to get the juice at one Alhaja's shop two buildings away from the hospital. She told me the pack of juice was N16k, and I offered to pay via transfer. After doing the transfer I asked her to check and confirm payment so I can be on my way. Immediately her POS machine gave an alert sound which signified payment received.

I was almost leaving in haste before she stopped me and asked that I check my transfer alert again. I wanted to tell her not to bother me, but I reluctantly checked and realized I sent N160k instead of N16k. Omo, na one time I calm down and began thanking her. She asked for my account details and transferred N144k back to me almost immediately. She didn't even take a kobo for bank charges.

I was really grateful to her because I most likely wouldn't notice the mistake until much later when I am fully settled. By that time, she might likely deny receiving the funds and by so doing would make me go through stress of going to bank to do unnecessary wahala . Even though I might end up having her account placed on PND to punish her for her dishonesty, the stress would've been too much on me at that particular time.

It's already happening..I think it was discussed here few days ago with the nonsense car spotting issue..Watched the video of Burna Boy leaving the club on Monday morning after launching his Buggatti and I shook my head..

Any third world nation that cannot "subsidize" education is doomed..

In Warri and Niger Delta in general, everyone from HOA members to LGA Chairmen loot yakata

Lagos is a saner clime where a HOA member may not loot wotoporiously because the Lagos APC structure has discipline and some boundaries plus many people to accommodate. Everybody chop small small there
This is funny, which speaker in Nigeria chop money pass Obasa? Lagos state HOA members pass even Rivers and Delta HOA members in terms of cash, go read up the news about lagos assembly members budgeting over 40b for cars and the money was released to them, also remember that lagos generates over 100b monthly in IGR and there are still other rackets going on underground that doesn't flow into the state purse. If Desmond is financially literate, he is not supposed to be broke, off course he has to make peace with gbaja for personal reasons and not necessarily for monetary gains.

Where? How much do regular HoA members make. There are people who were HoA members as recent as 2014 and now struggling.

You think its easy to have all your living expenses picked up by govt, Suddenly you have to buy it yourself

Try fin anyone who left HoA about 10yrs ago and if he is not careful there might not be much difference from a regular 9-5 guy
Not lagos state lawmakers maybe other smaller state. Obasa has numerous properties in Agege, the US and other parts of Nigeria, recall that the obasa guy even had a case with the EFCC before Tinubu became president, lagos lawmakers are boxed up, if Desmond knows how to manage funds, he shouldn't have a problem with money going foward. I don't know if you know the bet9ja founder guy, I hope you know he was an LGA Chairman in lagos, that position provided capital/a base for him to blossom and he is not the only retired lagos politician doing well, many of them have choice properties all over lagos , US and Duba and thriving businesses too, last year some of the beach houses demolished along the route the coastal roads passed through belonged to some Fomer HOA guys.

I'll tell you when the president stops travelling abroad for treatment. His action implies Nigeria has no health sector. And if that is the case, he's supposed to fix it, as President.
