The job is for driving a Toyota Camry 2004 model (Big Daddy) on Bolt.

* Working hours: 8am–7pm
* Sunday is normally the day off.
* If you want to work on Sunday, you can take another day off during the week when you need to attend to personal matters.
* The car will be picked up from my location in the morning and returned to my location every evening.
* Payment is 40% of the net profit after agreed expenses such as fuel and repairs, while I take 60%.
* GPS tracking and proper daily/weekly accounting will be in place.

If you're comfortable with this arrangement, I can ask you a few questions about your experience.

PLEASE EXPERIENCED SIRS, IS THIS A GOOD DEAL? I HAVE TRIED TO UNDERSTAND BUT I'M NOT GETTING IT YET.
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Danremmy: 2:52pm On Sep 28
I asked: who covers the expenses for fuel?

Car owner: For fuel, the cost of fuel used for the Bolt operation will be deducted from the total earnings before we calculate the profit. So, after Bolt charges and agreed operating expenses like fuel, the remaining net profit will be shared 60% to me and 40% to you.

PLEASE THESE ARRANGEMENTS, DOES IT MAKE ANY SENSE?

Ooh, I guess I misunderstood you initially, seems the offer is thrown at you and not from you. My brother, dont stress yourself, you shouldn’t even bother trying to understand the person that made such offer, this kind person will frustrate and complicate your life. Just walk away and look for a reasonable and understanding offer.

The owner is very reasonable to place repairs on income earned and Profit splitting after Net profit from Apps and Fuel

I dont know how you will manage the 40% from Net profit sha. He owns the asset and the risks, you just need to work harder to NET HIGHER so your 40% can be huge at the end of the week/month

Did you even understand that arrangement at all?

You’re talking about repairs, will they be doing repairs everyday for them to deduct repairs from his daily earnings or how do they intend to deduct money for repairs? Will it be done in advance and what happens to the saved money if repairs doesn’t happen during the time of agreement or if repairs exceed the saved amount.

Also, how will the owner track his earnings, or will the driver solely depend on online trips and when he gets a juicy offline trip, he should not do it coz the owner wants to track his online earnings. Also, that arrangement can never end well, it will always bring arguments and trust issues.

I don’t understand the angle you’re seeing that arrangement from but being an owner and also a driver, that arrangement is very absurd and will only end up with issues.

Vehicle might have a Tracker & Dashcam

I might feel the 40% is low, but this is another way to go about it instead of driver handling repairs and delivering certain amount weekly

No matter what there will always be issues btw them you just have to work with the system that brings less issues.

Some people are just clown, I’m sorry to say tho.

Work harder to net higher thereby making owner to have more as 60% 😂😂😂

Imagine you having a target of 50k take home but in the right sense, you’re making owner to have 75,000 as his 60% so the more you work, the more money that goes to owner and someone said the owner is being reasonable.

Abeg, if you don’t have in-depth knowledge and understanding about something, just keep shut pls.
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Eazilyfe: 5:12pm On Sep 28
Just funny, do you think vehicle maintenance is easy? Someone here complained that he repairs the vehicle and also repaired Tracker and will still deliver weekly.

This owner said repair should be on profit, then they can share whats left from the profit. Okay, you as a driver just want to use vehicle and leave repair for owner to face.

With that clause driver will be careful with the car and also work to net higher, i have said renegotiating split is okay, thats my opinion you can drop yours too sha

he's funny! Like which kind offer is that? Imagine he's asking to take 60% while I take 40%. However cost of repairs, fuel and app percentage will be deducted from net sales, Meaning I'm the one automatically funding all that. Lol

Bros, pls don’t try to justify your point, it will make you sound DBer.

If you’re talking about repairs, does repair happen daily or weekly? Repairs should be something they both tend to when it happens. Maybe an agreement that says repairs of 30k & below should be done by the driver and any repair above 30k, the owner can come in with a share ratio. For instance, a repair of 100k, after deducting the 30k that the driver is supposed to solely use for the repair, the balance will be 70k so that 70k balance is what they will now use their ratio to share. It can be 50/50, 60/40 or any ratio convenient for them.

boss he wants 60% as owner after. yet he wants repairs and expenses to come from profit? Isn't that same as driving funding the repair?

The egbon no get deep understanding, like I said, the person that made that offer is too intelligent and he’s just looking for a fool to outsmart. Driver gets to work for repairs and all expenses while he still get his own 60% 😂

That person must really think people that does uber are dumb o.

Imagine working to pay commission of 25%, work to buy fuel of 40%, work to pay repair of let’s say 5% and all together thats 70% and the remaining 30%, someone wants to take 60% out of it haaaaa.

May God punish that person with that offer.

The better option is for the driver to take 60%, i didnt say he should accept 40%

Going by the look of things its difficult to get a car. Most EV companies have ridiculous T & C.

There so many things that still needs renegotiating in that deal like working time. But splitting net profit is not a bad idea. You want to make the most of the deal, the owner wants the same too.

This is another good idea, the owner already stated his terms, you can negotiate as the driver because you have more experience on the field. I'm talking from the experience of someone who has given people cars to drive and i now i'm driving it myself. You can sense the owner wants his car to be well maintained.

The way you flared up its as if you are expecting one big repair that will eat up the profit daily

The business isn’t for someone like that cox everything is wrong with the arrangement, he should pick car in the morning and drop it in the evening. How convenient can that be for the driver?, if he so insist on that, then he should just ask for daily delivery anytime the driver comes to pick the car instead of putting all expenses on the driver.

The owner simply doesnt want weekly delivery
